Un séjour exceptionnel dans un riad absolument magnifique. Une véritable perle de tranquillité et de sérénité, à deux pas de l’effervescence de la médina. L’accueil a été remarquable : chaleureux, attentionné et d’une grande gentillesse. On s’y sent bien dès les premières minutes, comme dans une parenthèse hors du temps. Un lieu plein de charme, paisible et authentique, où nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour. Nous y reviendrons avec un immense plaisir. Un dîner romantique seuls au bord de la piscine le soir de mon anniversaire et plein d’attentions de la part de tous. La cuisine du Riad mérite qu’on y reste dîner. Pas la peine de courir les restaurants à l’extérieur. L’épaule d’agneau restera un pur moment de régal. Le personnel attentif et discret en même temps. Une mention spéciale pour Oussama sa gentillesse et son sourire permanent.

This is a beautiful Riad, set close to the hustle and bustle, but amazingly tranquil once inside. The facilities are wonderful whilst all the staff are genuinely friendly and cannot do enough to ensure you have a fabulous stay. Initially greeted with mint tea and small sweet treats, it was a great experience from start to finish.

All staff were excellent reception staff and waiters were all superb. Very quiet calm and relaxing Riad. The markets were a great experience - 15 min walk from Riad.

Shower did not work very well TV did not switch on. Once you step outside of the Riad you are met with poverty and dirty street, however locals tend to just get on with it and do not bother you and are helpful.

Well designed riad where the focus is on relaxation, privacy and an authentic moroccan atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and special thanks to Abde, Said, Osama and Bou Bkr, and Tawfeeg and the lady who make up the room. And they were always ready to help in discreet and professional way. Their hospitality made the stay feel comfortable and very well taken care of throughout.

The property was beautiful. Very well cared for, constantly being cleaned. Our room overlooked directly ontothe centre courtyard and the pool. The staff are outstanding and friendly and they go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect for you

There is nothing I didnt like. If I had to make a comment here it would be about the wasps who appear at breakfast time which could be a little umpleasant.

Sans doute, l’un des meilleurs Riads de la Médina ! Allez-y sans hésiter. Moi qui suis plutôt exigeante et difficile à satisfaire, je ne trouve absolument rien à reprocher. Un lieu magique, propre, raffiné et décoré avec énormément de goût. La meilleure literie que j’aie connue de toute ma vie : les matelas, les coussins… tout est absolument parfait. Le service est irréprochable. Chaque membre du personnel est souriant, attentionné, chaleureux et toujours disponible. Pour l’anniversaire de mon époux, nous avons eu des pâtisseries, des roses, des ballons gonflés, une musique spéciale au petit-déjeuner, un gâteau avec une bougie, une chanson de l’équipe … et surtout énormément de bienveillance. Nous nous sommes sentis accueillis comme des membres de la famille. Il y a toujours du personnel à l’accueil, 24h/24. La responsable du spa est même restée avec nous en dehors de ses heures de travail afin de nous offrir deux massages réservés seulement 15 minutes avant la fermeture du spa. Notre suite Vénitienne 101 était tout simplement majestueuse. C'est calme. Les oiseaux chantent. La fontaine ruisselle. On n'entend pas le bruit de la vaisselle quand ils servent les petits déjeuners. Il y a peu de chambres. Pas de tumulte. Ambiance raffinée et paisible. Le rooftop offre des couchers de soleil à couper le souffle. Le quartier est agréable et facile d’accès. Un immense merci à la propriétaire de ce lieu magique, qui nous a profondément impressionnés par son ouverture d’esprit, sa simplicité et son très grand professionnalisme, et qui a su créer une équipe aussi soudée, humaine et bienveillante.

das riad war sehr schön und hat uns sehr gut gefallen. die lage war nicht optimal, da kein taxifahrer dort hin fahren wollte. auch bei gebuchten touren war das hotel nicht in der liste der abholhotels enthalten. das frühstück war sehr einfach. wir waren 5 nächte dort und haben jeden morgen das gleiche bekommen. nur süße creps oder gebäck, was wir leider nicht essen. das obstschälchen war super klein mit maximal 1 erdbeere und einer halben banane. wasser im zimmer gab es nur am ersten tag - danach musste es gekauft werden - was in anbetracht der tatsache, dieses leitungswasser auch nicht für das zähneputzen zu nutzen, ziemlich geizig erscheint.

The Demeures d’Orient is charming and the rooms very comfortable, light and pleasant. Good service. Very helpful and kind staff. Good breakfast in a delightful area around the pool. Clean. Quiet.

Taxis have sometime difficulty finding it and have to be prompted by the hotel staff. The shower / bathtub is not very safe. They should add a mat. Also add luggage racks and slippers. Mediocre and quite expensive massage.

Beautiful Riad well restored. Very large suite which was comfortable and clean. Nice space for the kids to sleep. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful in organising things for us. Breakfast was plentiful and good. The pool was great to cool off.

The air conditioning in the room was noisy and could have been more powerful to cool the large suite. The shower was under powered. Some areas such as the roof top terrace could have been better maintained.

I recommend to everyone this property including the face and body massage-I thank to the 2 ladies that performed it with great devotion.

The breakfast needs a serious improvements. The same boiled egg every morning is not exactly the ideal meal.

Nous avons séjourné six jours dans ce riad pendant la période de Noël, en compagnie de ma mère, et notre choix s’est révélé particulièrement heureux. Dès notre arrivée, l’accueil fut d’une grande qualité, à la fois discret, attentionné et sincèrement chaleureux. L’ensemble de l’équipe se distingue par son professionnalisme, sa courtoisie et son sens du service. La parfaite maîtrise de l’anglais et du français par le personnel a grandement facilité les échanges, toujours menés avec élégance, bienveillance et efficacité. Les chambres sont spacieuses, décorées avec beaucoup de goût et une réelle identité propre à chacune. La présence d’une cheminée dans chaque chambre, allumée chaque soir, confère aux lieux une atmosphère feutrée et particulièrement agréable durant les soirées d’hiver. La terrasse sur le toit offre une vue dégagée sur la médina et constitue un lieu idéal pour se détendre. L’emplacement du riad est excellent : central, tout en conservant un calme appréciable. Le souk, le plus vaste ensemble de bazars d’Afrique, est accessible à pied. Le petit-déjeuner, traditionnel et soigneusement préparé, était de très bonne qualité. Le riad dispose également d’un espace bien-être avec hammam et massages. Nous souhaitons souligner la qualité du massage prodigué par Hanan, à la fois professionnel et profondément relaxant. L’équipe du riad s’est montrée très disponible pour l’organisation d’excursions, les recommandations de restaurants et les conseils pratiques, contribuant ainsi à une découverte de Marrakech à la fois authentique et sereine. En définitive, ce séjour fut une expérience particulièrement réussie dans un riad élégant et harmonieux, où l’on prenait plaisir à revenir chaque soir. Des vacances reposantes et mémorables. Nous y séjournerions de nouveau avec grand plaisir et recommandons ce riad sans réserve.

It was so tranquil inside the Riad away from the hustle and bustle outside. The staff were fantastic. Friendly and helpful. The place was spotless inside.

There could be better signage from the street and alleyway. We struggled to find the Riad when we first arrived. Our driver dropped us on the Main Street and the GBS on our phones directed us to the back.

The breakfast was nice and fresh. We celebrated a birthday at the hotel and the staff put a lot of effort in to give us a nice suprise.

There were a lot of wasps around the tables during breakfast which I felt spoilt the experience.

Our stay at Demeures d’Orient Riad & Spa was an unforgettable experience that combined luxury, comfort, and authentic Moroccan charm. From the stunning decor to the peaceful ambiance, everything about this place made us feel like royalty. When we first arrived, we had a slight challenge during check-in as the staff member who welcomed us wasn’t very fluent in English, which led to a bit of confusion. However, once the main host arrived, communication became smooth and the language barrier was no longer an issue. From that point onward, everything was absolutely wonderful. The riad itself is breathtaking—elegantly designed, immaculately clean, and filled with the kind of atmosphere that instantly relaxes you. It truly felt like stepping into a hidden palace in the heart of Marrakech. One of the highlights of our stay was their beautiful in-house spa. The traditional hammam and massage experience was beyond incredible—Zoe and Hanna were absolutely amazing. They were so professional and made sure we felt comfortable and rejuvenated. The treatment was so relaxing and therapeutic that I went twice during our stay—each time was pure bliss and left my body feeling renewed. If you’re looking for a place that offers true Moroccan luxury, serene vibes, and top-notch spa experiences, Demeures d’Orient Riad & Spa is the perfect choice. Aside from the minor check-in issue, everything else was flawless. We highly recommend it and would love to return!

Nothing to dislike

Very beautiful decor throughout with relaxing ambience. We stayed in the Byzantine suite - magnificent bathroom and spacious bedroom. The breakfast by the pool was wonderful. Staff were welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us, a gentleman even accompanied us to the souks as we had limited time to choose presents. Thank you to the whole team for a memorable visit.

It’s a bit tricky to find but perhaps just on the first day or two.

The hotel was expensive so there could have been a replenishment of biscuits in the room and the pool could have been a little warmer. The lighting while eating dinner was too poor to see what I was eating which was annoying.

Great location, lovely staff. Boubaker was especially thoughtful and helpful. He took the time to talk to us about the different things to do in Marrakesh.

It was quite expensive given the facilities. I was expecting it to be more “easy” but eg no coffee or tea in the rooms, no self-serve machines or kettles anywhere, could be quite hard to find someone if you wanted to take a drink to the terrace.

The access to the hotel is far from ideal and many people would not want to come or go except by taxi, although the hotel is not far from the centre of the Medina. Motorcycles are a nightmare and the city authorities should ban them within the Medina.

The Riad had been built to very high standards using local craftsmen and materials, the woodwork was exceptional. Our room was large , comfortable and well lit with plenty of storage. Breakfast was great and served around the pool on the central courtyard, evening meals was served around the pool or on the roof terrace, the food was very good. All the staff were helpful and welcoming, I enjoyed the Hamman

It's hard to adequately portray this oasis in the centre of Marrakech. It's beautiful, serene and the staff were amazing. Happy, helpful and professional. Thank you all so much for a stay that will be hard to match.

Nothing to dislike at all

The Riad is a lot prettier in real than the photo, especially at Night once they put the candles on the central chandelier. The Riad is quiet, and not many rooms for a homy feeling. The staff was very pleasant and discreet.

The massage I booked was really bad and expensive. But that's just because the masseur was not really trained, and i'm very picky as I have massage every week. The owner was present during our stay, maybe a bit too obvious. The location is further up in the medina, not really central located, there is nothing to do outside; it takes at least 5 minutes walking through dodgy streets. Overall it is a very pleasant experience !

Breakfast was generous and the staff at the spa were lovely.

The riad is a 30 minutes walk away from all the places of interest, when taking a taxi back to the hotel it was always a battle with drivers to find where the hotel is and on multiple occasions we just had to give them our phone so they can follow directions on google. The riad's pool is in the main courtyard, it's lovely, however when there are noisy guests who are ultimately trying to get drunk, you will not be able to rest even when you are in your own room. Lastely, the cleaning staff kept trying to get into our room to clean when we were inside and resting, it's very annoying when you're just trying to rest and sleep and someone comes banging at the door!

It stay in mind for long time…

The Demeures is beautiful, relaxing and well run. The courtyard around the pool is delightful- breakfast, lunch dinner or just hanging out. Food is delicious. We liked it even better than the other great restaurants we ate at. The staff is wonderful and simply superb! Nothing was too much trouble. Booking taxis, reservations, helping with everything! Rooms are large and comfortable. We met Zoë, the owner/manager who explained that her mother and grandmother had designed and built this special retreat and many of the staff have been with them from the beginning. All that love for their business and commitment to perfect service surely showed in our experience of staying there!

The only thing to be aware of is that the hotel is tucked away in a maze of small streets. Taxis can easily find it. But don’t plan to go out walking. Traffic on main streets is downright scary😁

Absolutely beautiful Riad/room. The peace and serenity of the space. Wonderful relaxing breakfast. Lovely showers and toiletries (the best shampoo/moisturisers of any hotel spa ever). Such warm and friendly staff. Always welcoming.

The hamman needed a bit more notice to get going. Didn’t expect to pay extra to use it. Little thing- but refil of complimentary water would have been a simple and in-expensive touch.

The fact that a car can drop you at the front door of the riad.

Quality of breakfast, decor was very outdated, understaffed, noisy rooms, toilet did not have “shut-off” hose, rooms lacked heating and drinking water was not free (as it is accustomed in Arab countries).

Very friendly and helpful staff. Location within the Medina was good. Romantic place to stay. The pool in the central courtyard was lovely and a necessity in the 40+ degree heat.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room kept cutting out. Eventually, we were moved to a different room but it had already impacted upon comfort and sleep. The breakfast was ok.

Everything about our six night stay was relaxing and perfect. Our suite was sprawling, beautifully decorated and ideal for me and my two teen boys: truly the most beautiful room we've ever stayed in. The courtyard was a magical oasis of calm. Staff was friendly and attentive (and refused tips), and Zoe, the owner, quick to help with our every request -- and even to hand deliver and administer a Moroccan cure for my son's upset stomach! Honestly, she made us feel so welcome and at home. The location was ideal, the kids playing soccer nearby in the medina a complete non-issue (they even passed the ball to us a couple times as we passed by). Bonus: expansive roof space for stargazing and listening to the call to prayer, and excellent dinners.

The only thing I didn't like is that I had to leave.

Worth staying in a Riad and not in a chain hotel as it is a unique experience. The rooms have air conditioning, wifi and refrigerators which was very convenient. This Riad is in the north end of the Medina – about a 15-20 mins walk to the main mosque and taxi’s are available (lots of the Riad’s are not accessible by car so this is a nice feature). Has a lovely pool in the courtyard and a rooftop deck where you can relax in the sun. They also have a spa and private Hammam if you are interested in that. Would highly recommend you accept their offer to arrange pick up from the airport. Staff were very helpful and friendly and able to arrange taxis as needed. Breakfast is included and is served poolside. It follows the same formula each day with croissant, muffins, cakes, pancakes, with a boiled egg, fruit and yogurt. Fruit and pastries change daily, and the poolside setting is lovely. We had dinner there one night which was nice not to have to go out on our first night – the Tagine’s were very nice and we were able to find a nice wine.
