I absolutely loved the location ! The view was amazing and the fact that it was soo close to many different restaurants and stores . I liked that there were many board games for entertainment.

I found that the bathroom had a mildew smell. The aircons heat function did not work leaving us cold.

The location is exceptional convenient for walking to the beach. The sound of the ocean through the open balcony door consuming the surrounding noises and the morning view are so owesome. Very recommendable for a family travelers and affordable.

I had such a wonderful stay at Ocean Gem. The apartment was beautifully set up with a cute and thoughtful design that made it feel so welcoming. The beds were extremely comfortable, which made resting after a long day a real pleasure. What I loved most were the breathtaking sea views and how convenient the location was – so close to shops, which made everything so easy. Our host, Sheena, was amazing! She was hands-on and even shared great guides that really enhanced our stay and helped us explore the area with ease. Overall, a perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and beauty. I’d definitely recommend Ocean Gem to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway! 🌊✨

The only challenge was the steps to the unit and the steep walk into the resort if you don’t have a car – but I took it as a great way to get those steps in and shed a few kilos! Overall, a beautiful and comfortable stay that I’d definitely recommend.

The view!!

The place was very clean and neat. Excellent getaway spot for a couple. I particularly liked that the area was safe. The host is very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely return! The views are spectacular with a breathtaking sunrise over the beautiful ocean.

Everything was excellent except we didn't think we would have to carry our luggage upstairs. Maybe they warned us about no lift, and I never saw it, but for 80 year olds it is not ideal.

Beautiful location. Unit was very clean and tidy there was a fresh scent when we arrived. A pleasant stay, definitely a home away from home.

The stairs were hectic to carry luggage and groceries up. Poor lighting outside patio.

The location- Sheena’s videos were extremely helpful. I really liked that you have a mop broom and domestos and liquid hand soaps. Beach towels and bath towels also appreciated.

The bathroom basin is too small and cracked- the shower drain had a cover missing and the shower tap falls off. I thought it was a two bathroom- took it for the bath tub- for my daughter to use - and the second bathroom which wasn’t there. At any rate we each used the shower and nobody died. Thank you!

The communication from the host ahead of arrival was great - she sent brilliant instructions on how to get into the unit. Arriving at the unit was very easy and the keys were in a lockbox, which was perfect for arriving later in the evening. The unit itself is gorgeous with a fantastic view, and the bed was very comfortable. Lots of nice places to eat nearby. Would definitely stay there again.

This was truly an Ocean Gem!! We loved our stay and will struggle to stay anywhere else than in this place. It was so easy and so very accommodating for us and our kids. And the location is perfect with everything walking distance. Don't need a car for anything. Thank you so so much!!

I didn't have breakfast, so cant comment on that. The reat was good. On arrival electricity was off in the area. But everything else was really nice.

Only comment is that the light switches were a bit confusing on how they work and connected with other outlet plugs.

Great loaction

Very nice and peaceful with an awesome ocean view, easy access to the ocean and shops around everything is walking distance from where you staying. The host is awesome and gives such good videos and information on the place so you don’t have to even ask any questions as it’s all be answered in the videos. The area is so safe and peaceful with everyone walking there dogs and running and walking along to beach. Also Seattle coffee 2 minute walk which was great. Overall would recommend to anyone to stay here well worth it the money and experience

What a cute set up. Perfect for overnight stay. The view was amazing we went with our 5 and 2 yr old. they also were so happy to be there. The attention to detail was so unique and really appreciated. Definitely would love to come back

Excellent location relative to the airport. Great view over the sea! Good restaurants within walking distance. Safe complex and secure parking. Comfortable for 2 people.

The awesome welcome from Sheena with all the guide operators' videos. The house is perfectly equipped with a coffee machine + coffee and teas with milk. Aircons and fans, etc. It's just a home away from home 🏡.

Carrying luggage to the 4th floor was a toughee. Bad timing visit to the noise from the construction underneath. It's not the owners problem, though. Monkeys roaming the place. We were warned, though. You can not freely enjoy the breeze from your open door or window.

The view was just perfect, the facility was fully equipped we had everything that we needed. It really exceeded our expectations. The directions to locate the facility was just perfect it was more like a quest/quiz that i really enjoyed following the directions from the videos sent, the fact that i was trusted with the place was just amazing felt trusted indeed,,,,,

The view was the best. The comfort of the apartment was there... the owner went out of her way to make sure we were in our comfort zones. Sending tutorial videos on how to use things. Where to park and also was prepared incase of loadshedding emergencies or water emergencies

TV services, comfortable beds and the setting was ☺️✨. Beautiful place, enjoyed the Seaview. Never saw the pool.

At the reception no clear communication about the room had to call all the time to ask. The price it was advertised for... Ended up paying a price that was more so not cool.

Beautiful view! Amazing sunrises. Excellent location, beach and great restaurants/ coffee shops on your doorstep. Attention to detail, everything you need plus back up for power outages. Very thoughtful planning and great communication from the host.

Exceptional views

Perfect location and everything you need to make you feel at home.

Perfectly located on the beachfront with magical and unending view of the ocean. At the center of Umdloti with easy access to beaches and within meters or restaurants, coffee shops and general shops. A stunning unit which invites relaxation and peace. The hostess has gone the extra mile to deal with loadshedding challenges as well as extra touches like coffee pods for that first morning cup of coffee, a good choice in TV channels and free WiFi. She kept us informed of all check in arrangements and logistics in plenty of time. This place is a treasure, I can't wait to go back.

Location excellent and owner efficient and extremely helpful.

The main bedroom quiet small so not able to move around easily. A bit cramped for family of x4. Also only 1 bathroom and toilet available which can be challenging with 2 adults and 2 young adults.

We did have a problem with the door code…in both getting into the unit and out…but the owner was very helpful…the unit had extra “little” touches which made it very welcoming..
