Reviewed Sep 19, 2026We loved our stay at Aera Glass Cabins. The staff is outstanding. The cabins are small, but very comfortable. The delivered breakfast basket was delicious. The free sauna was a welcome treat. Our only regret is that the Aurora lights didn't cooperate (missed them by one night). Also, we didn't realize that they had a full restaurant, so we ate in Tromso before driving out to the property (our mistake).

Reviewed Sep 5, 2026La colazione era buona, è stato piacevole riceverla direttamente alla cabin in un bel contenitore da picnic. L’arredo della glass cabin è molto bello e confortevole, con due poltrone reclinabili, un letto comodo, con coperte morbide e doppio cuscino, ben riscaldato, con luci molto carine. Il bagno in comune è semplice ma pulito. Purtroppo ha sempre piovuto, quindi la vista era limitata, posso immaginare come sia ancora più bello con tempo sereno e magari aurora boreale! Il luogo è molto tranquillo, si gode di una certa privacy.
La relativa lontananza del bagno non è comodissima, soprattutto in inverno, immagino. Per la colazione, come bevanda era disponibile solo caffè, non c’era latte. Essendo andati in estate, il terreno attorno agli alloggi era fangoso e poco curato, immagino che la neve risolva il problema in inverno. Sarebbe piacevole avere un piccolo frigorifero nella cabin (c’è solo una tanica di plastica con l’acqua per farsi il caffè). Le pareti trasparenti sono in plastica, non vetro; mi chiedo come sia la visibilità con il tempo sereno, visto che noi abbiamo avuto pioggia.

Siamo entrati nella stanza e la stufetta era spenta, faceva un po’ freddo, ci ha messo 45 minuti circa per riscaldare la stanza Il letto a una piazza e mezzo per due persone e’ forse un po’ piccolo I pavimenti erano polverosi e un po’ sporchi La vista non era quella “promessa” dalle fotografie, quindi al momento della prenotazione attenti a quale casetta prenotate

Reviewed Aug 26, 2026Camera bellissima e letto comodissimo. La cucina ha tutto il necessario per preparare un pasto veloce. Sauna gratuita super! Colazione prevista in camera da 10 e lode! Abbiamo provato anche il ristorante e devo dire che è buono e ad un costo in linea con i costi locali. Uscire per cercare un posto vicino toglie la magia dopo relax e sauna in loco quindi meno male che c'è! Alternativa potrebbe essere acquistare qualcosa a Tromso prima di arrivare e mangiare in camera,

Huoneiston ikkuna kaipasi pesua ja saunan voisi myös uusia. Saunan suihkutila oli jo päivänsä nähnyt.

Małym minusem jest słabe wyposażenie kuchni (garnki i patelnie), ale obsługa pożyczała z kuchni restauracji, kiedy tylko poprosiliśmy. Piękna okolica, niesamowite wrażenia.

A tiszta, tagas fürdöszoba a kabinoktol kb 50 meterre egy köepületben talalhato, de az is fütött, magas minösegi elvarasoknak is megfelel.

Wir hatten Abendessen optional bestellt, was sehr gut war, Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, Frühstück wird gebracht und war ebenfalls sehr gut und von guter Qualität.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026I loved every bit of my stay here. The nature at the location is unmatched, and I don't think I could have experienced Norway and the Fjords for the first time at any place better than the panorama lodge. The breakfast is delivered at doorstep in a picnic case and there are many different spots on the campus where one could eat. I experienced the last days of the midnight sun which can be rather windy and rainy, but the panorama lodge is the perfect place to take it all in from. There is a sauna which can be booked gratis for an hour - I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the 80° C chamber. The staff is very responsive to requests to ensure a comfortable stay. Gabriel and especially Beverly went out of the way to make sure my surroundings were quiet, the breakfast conformed to my dietary restrictions (vegetarian, no eggs), and I could travel conveniently to the airport on Sunday (the bus 450 doesn't run on Sundays).
- Some guests overstayed their slot at the sauna by 15 minutes which ate into my time. - Not so much a matter of dislike but caution - if you don't rent a vehicle and rely on the bus 450, be very watchful of its operating times, it's a rather limited service and restricts the times you can leave and come back to the accommodation. - Another word of caution - the nearest supermarket is also very far away, so plan your shopping in advance and accordingly.

La tenda dietro al letto copriva poco la luce estiva che potrebbe infastidire se soffrite la luce di notte (come noi)

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026alles - die Unterkunft ist wundervoll ☺️ Das Personal ist unheimlich zuvorkommend, es gibt ein tolles Restaurant mit kleiner Karte, das Frühstück ist lecker und die Unterkunft ist mit allem ausgestattet, was es braucht. Die Aussicht ist der absolute Wahnsinn, wunderschön!
Man ist etwas ausserhalb, die Unterkunfft ist am einfachsten per Auto erreichbar. Wir fanden das aber ebenfalls sehr sympathisch, man sollte sich dessen einfach bewusst sein.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Wunderbare Stille, wunderschöne Natur, privat Sphäre, das Konzept für das Retreat ist super. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und vor der Tür gebracht, private Sauna mit Blick auf die Berge und den Fjord. Unkomplizierte Kommunikation über whatsapp, das Personal sehr hilfsbereit.
Alles war cool, das was sie angeboten haben war super. Manche Gäste bringen viel Sand in die Sauna 🥺

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026We stayed in an Igloo. I have never experienced such coziness, as I had in Aera. Everything is so thought through and comfortable, even with the bathrooms that are outside of the igloos. The bathrooms are great, clean, private. Private Sauna is also available. It is hard to travel nearby without a car, but if one wants a relaxed time for 2 - with an ocean view at all times - there is no better place. The staff has also been extremely friendly, as the people of the region in general (for example owner of the horses nearby)
As a small suggestion: perhaps having salt and pepper in the tents/cabins would be nice :)

People should know that property is located far away from Tromso city centre with limited public transport options. We had to use taxi which was expensive addition. The site itself is also work in progress. Our apartment was not serviced throughout our 3 night stay. Staff are helpful however they seemed very stretched out hence could not always address the issues.

Le soir, on nous a même fait à diner, après 20h. Et le petit déjeuner, apporté à domicile dans un grand panier, était top ! Un grand merci pour ce trop court séjour !!

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026No tuvimos suerte con el tiempo y no pudimos disfrutar del entorno ni del paisaje, que seguramente será lo mejor que ofrece el hotel. Momento para recordar el desayuno completísimo que traen en una cesta hasta la.cabaña.
La cabaña es mínima, incómoda hasta el punto de no haber casi sitio donde colocar la maleta. El hotel está demasiado aislado y no hay nada que hacer por la zona. En la web podía que había cargador eléctrico de coche pero no es cierto.

Seule b-mol qu'ils sont encore en train de construire et avec la pluie les chemins pour les Igloos pour aller aux toilettes sont boueux.

De locatie komt waarschijnlijk beter tot zijn recht in het winterseizoen. Nu (zomer) is het terrein kaal en lelijk.
