Gut gelegen und man konnte vor Ort Roller mieten.

Die Wasserpumpe war extrem laut und lief auch nachts, was einen vom Schlaf abgehalten hat. Das Zimmer war sehr klein, sodass man nicht den Koffer öffnen und vorbeilaufen konnte.

The location is great, it is right next to General Luna. The room was nice and comfortable and I was able to check in earlier which I really appreciate :)

First day the bedsheet was not very clean but I asked to change it and there was absolutely no issue with it :)

We stayed in the smallest room which was small but well laid out with shelving and under bed storage so had no issues as two large people for 10 days. Owners and staffs were really kind, we were there over Christmas and new year and they brought us cakes and a hamper to celebrate which was unexpected and kind! Location was great just a few steps away from tourism road but on a quiet street, also rented us a moped for a good price.

The room felt a bit damp if the ac was off but we were in siargao in rainy season with high humidity so it’s to be expected!

The property was close enough to the main Tourism Road but far enough to be away from people being out and about. The room was cozy, had everything I needed. There's even a cafe on the property itself if you didn't want to think about where to eat and grab a coffee at the start of your day. I appreciated that there was a water dispenser on the property and I didn't need to think about having safe drinking water during my stay.

Not their fault and it didn't bother me but it could for others - there was a neighbouring property that was doing karaoke throughout the night and though I didn't care for it much, this might be a dealbreaker for some. I'm not sure if this is a normal occurrence since I did stay closer to Christmas and people could just be in a jolly singing mood, though in the Philippines there's no need for an occasion to want to sing. The room I also stayed in was on the second floor, with steep, narrow stairs to get to it. This may be an accessibility issue in general and for those with large luggage - though I was fine because I just had a backpack. Something to think about before booking that particular room!

Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und wurden hervorragend umsorgt. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Wir waren 4 Wochen in dieser Unterkunft und können uns über nichts beschweren. Wie überall sind hier auch die Nachbarn alle sehr freundlich. Nebenan gibt es einen Roller Verleih, Möglichkeiten die Wäsche abzugeben, Möglichkeiten Obst zu kaufen und ein gutes und günstiges Fitnessstudio. Der Besitzer ließ uns zum Check-in, zu Weihnachten und zu Neujahr mit Aufmerksamkeiten wie Kuchen und einem Geschenkkorb überraschen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit.

Die kleine Straße vor der Unterkunft hat man im Zimmer deutlich gehört. Man gewöhnt sich dran aber es ist auch hier einiges los. Man könnte ggf. die Türen verbessern und schalldichter machen.

La ubicación es perfecta.

Es bastante pequeño, comparación a las fotos muy diferente. La ducha no tiene cortina , el baño y la ducha está todo en junto. Mucha olor a humedad .

Location

Water tank was defective, so water is limited. Some nights we cannot shower because tank machine is not working.

The room was super clean, well decorated and staff very friendly. A bit unusual but we were there during a category 4 typhoon and it was nice to feel safe in a place.

The room was a bit small for longer stays

The staff is so kind, directly feels like home. They invite us to celebrate their bday, how kind. The room is good/big enough and the ac is really working. Can’t wait to see you all again!

Le personnel était top !! Ils nous aider à plusieurs reprise, ils sont très à l’écoute et trouvent toujours des solutions ! Nous avons loué une moto avec eux aussi c’était top. Franchement très très bonne expérience. Nous étions juste à côté du centre, à quelque minute à pied c’était parfait.

The property location was good. You could walk to many restaurants and coffee shops. Just 15 minutes from a beach. Being able to rent a scooter, you could be anywhere fast. The staff was super kind and helpful! They can make good food and coffee. Everyone very responsive. The battery operated fan was a great idea

The area is noisy with dogs at night. The room didn’t get very dark with the light coming in over the curtains. There’s something going on with the door latch to make it difficult to latch.

I had a wonderful stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would greatly recommend.

I recently stayed at Matam-is Cafe and Homestay, and it was such a solid choice. The WiFi signal and aircon were both really strong—no issues at all, which was such a relief! The room was clean, with a bed bigger than usual, and had this cozy veranda where I loved hanging out. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but honestly, it was still super functional and totally fine. What made it even better is that it's walking distance from everything on Tourism Road, so getting around was a breeze. And the staff? They were incredibly accommodating and just so easy to talk to. Food was yummy, esp the Spanish Sardines bfast choice. Overall, it was a great experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!

A/C flickered on and off a lot, mainly at night, some nights had no A/C but they had 2 fans in the room. Had to hold the shower head to have a shower.

Amazing and helpful staff! They let me stash my suitcase for a couple of days without extra charge. Location is great too, close to everything without being too noisy.

There were two electricity problems when the power has stopped but was fixed early

We enjoyed our stay in Matam-is. The staff, even the owners, were very accommodating. They assisted us throughout our stay and not only that, they gave us tips on places to visit and dine at. They checked in on us every now and then and they acted swiftly on requests we have provided. Lastly, we had a chance to try the food and beverage at the newly opened Matam-is Cafe - definitely worth coming back to!

Location is walking distance to Kermit (good food), Eskapo (gym) and to Tourism Road where most of the restaurants and shops are located. Owner and caretaker are also responsible and responsive. Just one call/chat with the caretaker/owner and he'll already arrive to fix the issue. Bed is comfortable and the hygiene products (including dental) are complete. Internet is also fast and they have generator when electricity fluctuates.

Electricity on the island is not really consistent (i guess current infrastructure is not yet prepared for the unexpected boom of tourism industry). This is beyond the control of the homestay so guests need to be extra patient and prepared (charged gadgets) with the sudden fluctuations that may last up to an hour. Caretaker only stays until 5pm so beyond that time, either the guest has to fix his/her issue on their own or wait for the caretaker to arrive (owner may prompt caretaker to go back when there are emergencies e.g. need to turn the generator on). Space in the room is also a bit tight. Just good for solo and couple.

Very small scale accommodation. Free drinking / hot water. Well maintained. Good shower. Solution (fan / light) for brownout situations. Friendly owner.

Even though it is not along the main road, there is still quite some noise from traffic.

It was a place where you will always remember why you visit Siargao. If you want to sleep after a long day then this place is the best

Small room

I stayed just one night at the property, however I can highly recommend it! It's a very modern and comfortable apartment

Sometimes the voltage generator was a bit audible during the night, but I assume this is because of multiple power outages, out of control of the property.

The staff were very nice and it was super clean. They let us check in early as the room was available and minded our bags when we were leaving and organised transport to the airport for us. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

The guy running the place is very kind and helpful. The room looks clean. Bed is okay (pillows a bit too soft).

The room and bathroom are VERY small. It's really not handy. They put a lot of stuff in the room to make it seem "luxury", which only eats up the already cramped space. When we first came in the room was infested with mosquitoes. Luckily we brought our own mosquito net. There are regular power outs on the island. So the AC doesn't always work. Next to this, the water from the taps and shower is bore water (stinks a little bit) which is being pumped up. So when there is a power outage, there is also no water. They advised us a place to rent motorbikes just down the road, but the motorbikes are in very bad shape and not even safe to drive.

Really nice place in a quiet side street of General Luna. Location is really great and you can explore many amazing places easily by foot. The room was so nicely decorated and one can feel that the owner put so much love and care in its design. I would stay here again.

Room was too small to feel comfortable. I don't mind small rooms but this was tiny and you can't really move around well. Shower in the toilet, means bathroom under water after a shower.

Not on the Main Street so it was quieter and only a block away from the main road. Right next to an outdoor gym. Kuya Sylvester goes above and beyond (and even helped us during a natural disaster) and gave me complementary baked goods to start a day. Felt very homely and was extremely good value for money. Best receptionist in the world (a beautiful dog named Hickory)

The water stinks, the heater is not working, the rooms are too small.

Good place to stay even if its not exactly at the main road, its only 3 mins walk anyway. Near Kermit restaurant, just 3 mins walk. Eskapo gym is right in front so good location for gym bros. its walk friendly with good restaurants and the party areas as well.

there's just a smell with the water but understandable since its deep well. It also has a diffuser in the toilet so it dims the smell. Aircon was too high for a 5'2 reach so it was a bit of a problem with me. Overall its good.

Fantastic place! Everything is brand new, in good location in General Luna. Guys just opened it, also there is a coffee shop on the same territory. Also guys reacted to our request ls immediately via messengers. Keep going guys, you have a great place!
