Unser Aufenthalt im Deep Roots Dive & Yoga Resort war einfach grandios und hat unsere Erwartungen in jeder Hinsicht übertroffen! Schon die wunderschöne Anlage, der fantastische Ausblick und die außergewöhnlich schönen und stilvollen Zimmer haben uns vom ersten Moment an begeistert. Dazu kommt das wirklich hervorragende Essen – kulinarisch auf einem unglaublich hohen Niveau und jeden Tag aufs Neue ein Genuss. Was diesen Ort aber ganz besonders macht, sind die Menschen. Wir haben selten ein Hotel erlebt, in dem wirklich jeder einzelne Mitarbeiter so herzlich, aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und authentisch freundlich ist. Egal ob in der Küche, an der Rezeption oder bei den Guides – man hatte jederzeit das Gefühl, dass alle mit ganzem Herzen dabei sind. Bei wirklich jedem Anliegen wurde uns sofort geholfen, ganz gleich, ob wir einen Roller mieten, einen Transfer organisieren oder eines der vielen Angebote buchen wollten. Und diese Angebote können wir nur wärmstens empfehlen! Die Cooking Class war ein absolutes Highlight und hat unglaublich viel Spaß gemacht. Das Schmieden unserer eigenen Ringe war ein wunderschönes und besonderes Erlebnis, von dem wir eine bleibende Erinnerung mit nach Hause nehmen. Und das Schnorcheln mit den Mantarochen war schlichtweg eine Once-in-a-Lifetime-Erfahrung, die wir niemals vergessen werden. So wunderschön die Anlage, die Zimmer, das Essen und die Erlebnisse auch sind: Das eigentliche Herz des Deep Roots sind die außergewöhnlichen Menschen, die dort arbeiten. Sie haben aus einem tollen Urlaub einen Aufenthalt gemacht, an den wir uns noch sehr lange erinnern werden. Eine absolute Empfehlung – und für uns definitiv ein Ort, an den wir sehr gerne zurückkehren würden!

Absolut nichts. Wir könnten wirklich keinen einzigen Punkt nennen, den wir uns anders gewünscht hätten. Von Anfang bis Ende war dieser Aufenthalt für uns einfach perfekt.

L'Esmorzar molt bé, el personal molt amable, i l'entron preciós i molt tranquil, els jardins son una meravella i la piscina molt bonica. Es pot menjar (dinar/sopar) a un preu raonable en el propi hotel amb prou bona qualitat.

Vaig contractar un servei de taxi-Tour per al dia de l'arribada i l'endemà. Ens havien de recollir per anar directe al tour i no va ser així, i a part de perdre un parell d'hores, d'entrada ens volien cobrar el taxi que ens havia recollit al port. Al final, van verificar que es tractava d'un error intern seu i no ens ho van cobrar.

Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl & willkommen gefühlt! Ausstattung und Einrichtung des Deep Roots Dive & Yoga Resorts sind wirklich top! Das Personal ist entzückend. Der Tauchkurs ist perfekt, die Tauchgänge wunderbar und sehr gut organisiert. Ebenso die Yogaangebote. Auch das Restaurant ist sehr gut. Alles in allem ein großartiger Aufenthalt. Wir können das Hotel nur empfehlen.

Ons verblijf was een echte verademing. Het resort ligt op een prachtige locatie, met een schitterend uitzicht op Nusa Penida en de imposante vulkaan van Bali die boven de wolken uitsteekt. Rond het restaurant en het zwembad hing een ontspannen en gezellige sfeer. Het personeel was ongekend vriendelijk en altijd behulpzaam. Welk gerecht je ook van de kaart koos, het was telkens opnieuw een culinair avontuur. De maaltijden waren werkelijk heerlijk. Onze kamer was uitstekend: ruim, comfortabel en voorzien van een zeer grote en brandschone badkamer. De bedden sliepen heerlijk en de airconditioning hield de kamer aangenaam koel. Als we vooraf hadden geweten hoe fantastisch het hier zou zijn, hadden we zonder twijfel een week langer geboekt. Een absolute aanrader!

Amazing view, very friendly staff. If you are looking to dive the hotel has their own dive center, very convenient. They provide a little snack and bedtime stories every night!

It was perfect in every way. Our villa had a magnificent view of Mt Agung and you could hear the birds each morning. Very clean. Staff were amazing. All so welcoming, polite, attentive. So lovely. Food excellent. I’m vegan. Catered for vegans. Delicious meals. Husband non vegan - he loved his non vegan food too We were bowled over. Certainly blew us away with how fabulous it was. Thank you Deep Roots. Best place we’ve ever stayed.

La chambre somptueuse avec vue sur mer est un bonheur. Se réveiller et profiter de cette vue incroyable … Cet hôtel est reculé de la côte mais c’est ce que nous recherchions, un petit cocon pour se ressourcer une fois la visite de l’île terminée. Le personnel est si charmant et toujours à l écoute de vos besoins. C’est sans nul doute le meilleur hôtel dans lequel nous avons séjourné pendant notre séjour. La piscine avec vue sur mer est magnifique. Côté restauration, vous en avez pour tous les goûts et tout est très bon.

It was so tranquil, very relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we booked a massage in the room I had a warm stone 120 minutes and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. The food was tasty enjoyed the breakfast Buffett. The views from the room were amazing, we booked Mountain View.

Nous avons apprécié l’endroit, le resort est situé sur les hauteurs, à l’extérieur de la “foule”, ce qui est ressourçant. Les petits cottages sont très agréables, bien équipés et bien décorés. Nous avons également apprécié le service du soir et les petites attentions (gâteau & mot du soir).

Très peu de transats autour de la piscine. Le petit-déjeuné pourrait être amélioré (le staff pourrait au moins mettre les couverts pour les clients), avoir plusieurs options de thé chaud. Le choix du buffet est un peu restreint (pas de bacon, jus de fruit dilué à l’eau) et la majorité des contenants sont à peine remplis.

The resort was beautiful, you can do everything here, yoga, spa, dive, swimming pool! They were responsive on WhatsApp and also very accommodating. The room was lovely & clean. Food was very good too! I loved their bedtime story which came with a donut, very cute and delicious!

Deep Roots Nusa Penida is a real paradise. The facilities are modern, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed with strong environmental consciousness. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade from a garden view to a mountain view, and the view from our balcony was absolutely stunning—even with cloudy weather most days, it was still magical. The hotel offers a wide variety of experiences, including yoga classes, diving courses, meditation, and cooking classes. We attended a yoga class, which was excellent and very well guided. My husband took a diving refresher course and mentioned that the team was extremely professional and placed a strong emphasis on safety. We also joined the cooking class, which was fantastic—fun, interactive, and delicious. On top of that, we went snorkeling and diving, and both experiences were truly amazing. What really makes this place special is the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. Their warmth and professionalism made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a meaningful, relaxing, and adventure-filled stay in Nusa Penida

Everything was excellent

From all the place we stayed at in Indonesia, this was by far the most hygenic and friendly stay. All the people working there are very welcoming, they help with everything. We got a snack everynight with a bedtime story. The food was really good. The service was great. If we wanted a taxi, diving, change our stay to a day longer or a ferry ticket, they all arranged it immediately. Me and my friend did 6 Dives in total. We were guided by Luiz and Hendra, best experience. Very friendly, a lot of explanation. We felt very comfortable all of our Dives. We could do laundry as well. We got a little bit sick, because our travel scheme was very busy and we got offered free ginger tea. So sweet of them. Because it was low season our room got upgraded to mountain view without any extra costs. A very nice extra and very thoughtfull of them. I loved every person who worked there, will miss this hospitality! I would like to come back again somewhere in the future.

The location was a bit out of the city centre, but for us no problem. Since the transportation to the diving boat was arranged by the resort.

We recently stayed 5 nights at Deep Roots Dive & Yoga Resort, & what a find! All staff, amenities, room, hotel grounds, dining 10/10. Special staff to mention Wahyu & Agus, who made the most amazing coffees & cocktails. We went snorkeling & scuba diving during our stay with the Deep Roots team.. We saw mantas & turtles. Exceptional. Ridho & Lewis, our guides, were great. 🐢🤿 We will 100% be back. Counting down the days till we return. Thank-you for your warm hospitality ♥️❤️

Sehr schöne Lage und Anlage

Unter unserem Bungalow (ich glaube es war Nr. 103) war die Hauptverteilung Strom und vermutlich Netzwerk für die ganze Anlage. Dieses surrte die gesamte, wir haben nicht gut geschlafen. Ansonsten wäre die Anlage super. Aber wenn man diesen Bungalow erwischt, dann trübt dies den Aufenthalt. Unsere Kinder waren in der Villa daneben, diese war sehr schön.

Everything was a 5-star experience with incredibly attentive and welcoming people. The breakfast and the quality of the restaurant were outstanding. The yoga lessons in the morning with the two adorable teachers were another highlight of the experience. I found extremely cute that every evening they were bringing to your room a good night story to read and a fresh delicious dessert. It’s a perfect relaxing place to stay on the island, ideal for exploring and practicing scuba diving and yoga.

Es war eines der schönsten Unterkünfte für uns auf unserer Bali Reise. Die Qualität des Zimmers und der Ausstattung war wirklich top. Das Personal unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Tolle Anlage und zwei schöne Pools. Etwas abseits gelegen, dafür aber sehr ruhig! Mit dem Roller ist alles gut zu erreichen und das Hotel hilft bei der Anmietung. Das Frühstücksbuffet war wirklich toll und für jeden etwas dabei! Yogaangebot war auch super. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und können das Deep Roots nur von Herzen weiterempfehlen 🙂!

Sehr schöne Anlage mit tollen Pool mit Sicht auf das etwas weiter entfernte Meer. Die Kombination Tauchen und Yoga ist wirklich toll und passt besten zusammen.

Auf der Terrasse fehlt eine Möglichkeit um nasse Kleider aufzuhängen. Da das Hotel auch ein Divezentrum hat wäre ein Kleiderständer auf der Terrasse sehr hilfreich

No hot water in the shower

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Das Hotel hat eine sehr ruhige Lage, ist sauber und modern eingerichtet. Das Bett war sehr bequem und das Zimmer sehr geräumig. Wir hatten einen atemberaubenden Ausblick auf Mount Agung (Cottage mit Mountain View). Unser Highlight war das unglaublich gute Essen. Das Küchenteam zauberte einzigartige Menüs mit perfekt ausbalancierten Aromen und die Präsentation war sagenhaft. Das Serviceteam hat ebenfalls einen tollen Job gemacht. Wir hatten etwas Pech mit einem gebuchten Tagesausflug und wurden vom Hotel hierfür sofort und sehr großzügig entschädigt. Mit so viel Entgegenkommen hatten wir nicht gerechnet. Man hat uns außerdem versichert, den Tour-Anbieter zu wechseln, sodass andere Gäste künftig ein besseres Erlebnis haben werden. Wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen für alle, die Ruhe und Entspannung suchen.

Wir haben nichts auszusetzen. Wenn man einen kleinen Kritikpunkt nennen müsste, wäre es der Fußboden in unserem Zimmer, der etwas schmutzig war. Das tut aber dem insgesamt sehr guten Eindruck, den wir vom Hotel hatten, keinen Abbruch. Ich bin sicher, das Team hätte sich sofort gekümmert, wenn wir uns beschwert hätten. Das war aber aus unserer Sicht nicht nötig.

The hotel staff are really friendly and very helpful

This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at during our trip to Bali / Lombok, and by far the worst. We asked for an upgrade upon arrival (with an extra charge), but the room was nowhere near worth the price. There was some kind of pump or engine that made an irregular motor noise day and night (at first we thought someone was mowing the lawn). We sent some clothes to the laundry service and didn’t even think of checking the rates, as it wasn’t the first time we used this service in Indonesia: €25 (!) just to wash a few t-shirts, shorts and underwear (including one t-shirt ruined after washing, so in the end we “only” paid €12.5 for the load… thank you for the incredible commercial gesture). The food at the hotel is not great, and the property is very isolated, so without transport there’s no way to get around (the hotel doesn’t organize transfers except to the port, and it’s not cheap either).

Le service est parfait et le personnel aux petits soins pour nous durant tout le séjour. La chambre et la piscine sont incroyables. La vue est vraiment a coupé le souffle. De plus, l’hôtel propose de nombreuses activités sur place : yoga, plonge, cours de cuisine, spa, …. De plus, il y a souvent une activité le soir. Nous avons eu un concert et c’était vraiment super. Le restaurant et les cocktails sont très bons. Vous pourrez manger à la fois indonésien et plus occidental si vous le souhaitez

L'accueil et le personnel aux petits soins, les assiettes soignées et délicieuses, le calme de l'hôtel et la vue depuis notre villa sur le mont Agung ! Gros + avec le centre de plongée directement sur place, super pratique quand on plonge et des dive master super pro. Merci à Ridho, Hendra et toute l'équipe sur le bateau, nous reviendrons ;)

L'attente au restaurant parfois un peu longue..

La gentillesse du personnel, la qualité des équipements et le soin qui y est apporté, la cuisine servie dans l’établissement. Tout était très bien !

Le seul petit moins c’est l’emplacement si on est pas en scooter car les taxis sont onéreux à Nusa Penida et se déplacent surtout pour plusieurs excursions.

Die Zimmer und die Aussicht sind traumhaft. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und hilfsbereit - zum Hafen wurde uns ein Shuttle organisiert. Der Pool lädt zum Entspannen und Schwimmen ein. Außerdem werden viele Aktivitäten angeboten. Wir haben eine Westküstentour und einen Schnorcheltour gemacht. Frühstücksbuffet ist super :)

Einziger Minipunkt: Das Essen ist verbesserungsfähig. Mittag und Abendessen waren eher fad.

This is probably the best stay during the trip to Bali. Everything was good - a beautiful villa with a wonderful view, birds singing, yoga classes with the wonderful yogi Gizelle! The facility has two super swimming pools with a view, is located off the beaten path in peace and quiet. The staff took care of us at every step, preparing our room for sleeping and bringing us small gifts. We will definitely come back here and recommend it to our friends

The staff was worst we got in all Indonesia Communication was unacceptable- they were unprofessional and it’s seems like everybody first day. Nothing was done on purpose but they were just clueless

Location was wonderfull. Service was incredible. Food and breakfast was really good. The room was more then perfect. You can ask the crew for Anything! They Will do. Very easy to arrange taxi transfer and boats at location. Laundry Service was fast. Great Diving center/school. Best place in Nusa Penida. We really left the place relaxed and had the greatedt Dive.

Emplacement, sympathie et disponibilité du personnel et la propreté, grand espace, rangement des chambres. Le petit déjeuner était aussi excellent.

L’eau filtrée est moins appréciable que de l’eau en bouteille dans un établissement de ce niveau de service / tarif je trouve que ce serait cohérent d’avoir de l’eau en bouteille incluse chaque jours. Il n’y a pas de rideaux sur toutes des fenêtres et des rideaux très fins donc de la lumière même en pleine nuit, des rideaux plus occultants permettrait une meilleure nuit

Alles was tot in de puntjes geregeld. In de taxi stond er al een flesje water en een verkoelend handdoekje klaar, bij aankomst een welkomstdrankje. De kamer was zeer schoon, ontbijt prima en het personeel echt heel aardig. Het voelde als thuiskomen. Elke avond kwam het personeel met een bedtime story en een delicatesse naar de hotelkamer, heel leuk! Wij hebben genoten van elk moment.

Die Zimmer sind sehr großzügig und modern ausgestattet. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Hotel liegt etwas abseits, aber das Essen im Hotel ist gut, sodass man für einen kurzen Aufenthalt auch einfach die Zeit im Resort genießen kann. Wir haben die Tauchleistungen nicht in Anspruch genommen, aber es schien alles sehr unkompliziert und professionell organisiert zu sein.

Das Frühstück war enttäuschend. Am Pool könnten mehr Liegen sein, da nicht jeder eine bekommt, wenn das Hotel ausgebucht ist.

Un séjour vraiment parfait. Très belle hôtel au calme. Les piscines, les terasses, la végétation sont magnifiques et très bien entretenus. La chambre était top, bien insonorisé et la literie était très confortable. Plusieurs activités et animations sont proposées (plongée, yoga, massages etc..) Pour finir une équipe au top. Les employés sont très aimables, souriants et plein d'attentions. Je recommande vivement. Si nous en avons l'occasion, nous reviendrons.

Très bel hôtel, un peu cher malgré tout mais le restaurant est si bon.... Club de plongée très bien même si les sites emblématiques de l île sont très fréquentés

La nourriture est d'excellente qualité. Les villas sont très joliment décorées avec des matériaux très qualitatifs et une literie parfaite. Le personnel a toujours le sourire et donne l'impression d'être une vraie famille. Je ne pouvais pas rêver mieux comme choix de séjour !

A fantastic hotel with fantastic staff and services. I couldn't have wished for more. Wonderful little touches like leaving a small parchment with an Indoniesan folklore story after turning the beds down in the evening. Great dive centre run by knowledgeable and encouraging experts who i felt really safe with.

There really is very little that could have been approved. The only thing to mention would be that my 1 day island tour was really just a taxi driver paid to take me to the main sights - this really didn;t match with the rest of the attitide and services of the hotel so if you do want to do that tour then I would check if they have aligned that tour with their expectations now (and if not then just hire your own cab or rent mopeds)

Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber, die Anlage schön und gepflegt. Der Pool bietet ausreichend Liegen und eine schöne Aussicht. Ebenso bietet das Resort ein tolles Frühstück an, welches wahlweise als Buffet oder a la carte genossen werden kann. Auch an veganen Speisen mangelt es nicht (weder beim Frühstück noch beim Abendessen). Das Personal ist äußerst zuvorkommend und kümmert sich um jegliche Wünsche (Fahrer etc.).

Die Lage ist etwas abgelegen, sodass man auf Fahrer vom Hotel angewiesen ist. Da es auf der Insel kein Grab/Gojek gibt, sind diese etwas teuer (für indonesische Verhältnisse). Das Hotel hilft jedoch beim Leihen von Rollern, die preislich völlig in Ordnung sind. Jedoch sind die Straßen auf Nusa Penida in keinem guten Zustand, sodass man sich dies gut überlegen sollte.

Herzliche Atmosphäre, tolles Dive Center

As opposed to many of the other resorts on the island, Deep Roots fits very well into the environment. It feels private and zen in all the right ways. The staff were nothing short of incredible, and we left feeling like a part of the family. The owners were on site more often than not, and always up for a chat. We went diving with Deep Roots as well, which felt safe and authentic, and we could tell that the instructors valued the environment in a way that many do not. They also organized a day trip around the island for us. Regardless of what we wanted or needed, a solution was found. Everything you will need in a stay on Nusa Penida, you will get at Deep Roots. Thank you!

The resort is truly incredible. Everywhere looks so beautiful, the rooms are very modern. Everything was clean, you could see the ocean from the pool, and every single member of staff was incredibly friendly. We also enjoyed the breakfast, and our dinner there was also very good. The diving school was also particularly special for us. All the diving instructors are very friendly and made every effort to ensure we had the best experience. The concept of having a diving school right on site really makes sense. We went on a snorkeling trip and went scuba diving – both highly recommended! A stay here is worthwhile; we wish we could have stayed longer.

The location of the resort and pool is stunning! Rooms are beautiful. We did snorkelling with the Dive Center - which was great - and cooking class! All excellent 😊

Beds were firm - a bit too hard for our personal liking.
