Antique M1 R1 - Amazing Double Room with shared Bathroom in Marques Pombal

The location was good.

One day after we got home, my whole body started itching. There were bed bugs in the bed and cockroaches in the bathroom🤢. Not enough precautions had been taken against pests.

La limpieza es muy mala, las camas tenian chinches que nos picaron, las sabanas tenian manchas, habia hormigas y los baños compartidos estaban siempre bastante sucios. Ademas no se podian poner las persianas de la unica ventana que habia por lo que entraba la luz muy pronto por la mañana

Great cheap room in the middle of Madrid. There is an amazing flea market on a Sunday that fills the entire neighbourhood. It is close to supermercados and places to eat out. Randomly there was a shower in our room which turned out to be very useful as it gets very hot in summertime. Nice simple room

Spanish phone number required for self check in. However, people are often coming and going from the apartment so if you don't have a phone number you generally don't have to wait too long before someone lets you in.

Soggiorno poco soddisfacente. La porta della camera era evidentemente fragili: maniglia, serratura e vetrata erano vecchie e a nostro avviso poco sicure. La schermatura disponibile per nascondersi dietro alla porta di vedrò era una tenda in pessime condizioni. Inoltre, ci ha sorprese trovare un cartello in bagno che indicava quale camera dovesse occuparsi delle pulizie a rotazione. Le pulizie degli spazi comuni dovrebbero essere a carico della struttura, non degli ospiti. Non è quello per cui si paga.

Old and outdated furniture and fittings, bathrooms were a bit outdated and yucky.

Très bien placé. La cuisine possède tout pour se faire à manger, notamment le petit déjeuner. Très pratique.

O local é bem localizado. Muito perto do metrô e da principal rua

Por ter ficado num quarto próximo a rua o barulho das pessoas conversando do lado de fora incomodou, porém não é algo que a hospedagem consiga controlar.

It's a typical shared apartment with a few rooms, a shared kitchen, and two shared bathrooms. Overall, it was comfortable; I wasn't too hot or cold. The metro is literally 5 minutes away, so you can easily walk. There's good internet. There was no staff, but that's a plus, as email support was always available.

Positives: 1. The room and kitchen were very clean. 2. Kitchen appliances are generally in a very good state and the kitchen is large and comfortable. 3. The location allows for easy transport and is safe at night. 4. The contact with owner is quick and convenient. 5. The overall quality is good comparing to other rooms at this price. Neutral: 1. The apartment is in basement level, so the window in the room was on ground level on the street. Because of this, there is some noise coming from the street every night, so it is not possible to sleep with the window open. 2. There is no air-conditioning in the room apart from the fan (which was sometimes not working). Since the window opens up to the street level, you generally don't want to open it, so it is difficult to ventilate the room when it's hot. 3. The water is heated by a gas heater, and it sometimes randomly turns cold. Usually it was enough to turn the water off and on a couple of times to get hot water again.

Negatives: 1. There is mold in the bathrooms, even though the appliances are relatively new and generally clean. It seems that there is not enough ventilation. 2. The bed was very creaky. This is an issue for a light sleeper. I was waking up at night frequently because of this.

The room was spotless clean, as was the shared bathroom and the well equipped kitchen. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. The self check-in was straightforward. The apartment was well located with supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The metro station was only a few minutes walk

The room is next to a metro station, a bakery, fast food restaurants and a big park where the Christmas village was! The size of the room was ideal for 2 people, the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the bathroom was always clean. Also, the host was always available to answer our questions.
