Logement : Très agréable, grand, disposant d'une climatisation opérationnelle et d'une terrasse qui est copartagé avec le logement d'à côté (mais chacun dispose de son côté). Le petit déjeuner situe au RDC sur la terrasse principal, de très bonne qualité, en grande quantité avec des plats typiques. Salle de bain : privative, fonctionnelle avec du débit et de l'eau chaude. Localisation : superbe vue sur la plage Unakuruwa Beach et les surfeurs au loin. Pour se baigner, il faut toutefois se rendre à la plage Silent Beach à 7-8min à pied qui est bien plus adapté et confortable. Plusieurs restaurants de qualité à proximité direct du logement. Interlocuteurs : très bien accueilli par des personnes très agréables et de bons conseils.

Peu de points faibles sur ce logement. Ne dispose pas de moustiquaire autour du lit, bien que nous n'ayons pas été embêté, cela peut toutefois servir. De plus, des étagères, rangement, grand miroir, porte manteau pourraient être ajoutés.

Das abwechslungsreiche Frühstück war sehr toll und das Zimmer mit dem Balkon sehr geräumig. Die liebe Frau war auch sehr bemüht und kooperativ trotz der kleinen Sprachbarriere, aber über Übersetzer und Basic English ging es trotzdem sehr leicht :)

Eine Duschwand/Duschvorhang wäre für das Bad noch toll gewesen, aber jeder natürlich wie er es mag :) Ansonsten war alles wirklich richtig gut! Kleiner Tipp: Nimmt genügend Bargeld mit, um euren Aufenthalt zu bezahlen :)

Quiet location close to beautiful Silent beach, very clean and spacious apartment. Good pressure in the shower, comfy bed. Nice to have a balcony and a drying rack.

A bit out of the way from Tangalle but there is a couple options to eat around the area and it's nice to be walking distance from Silent beach. The beach which is below the apartment is very small and there is a lot or trash on the beach :(

Toller Ausblick direkt aufs Meer. Gute Möglichkeit zu Essen direkt in der Nähe. Das Englisch des Gastgebers nicht so gut aber wir konnten uns verständigen. Das Frühstück ist wirklich reichhaltig. Es gibt guten Kaffee und Tee. Die Zimmer sind sauber und die Betten bequem.

Klimaanlage hatte gekühlt, könnte aber denke ich mal eine Wartung gebrauchen

Everything was perfect - the room, the view, proximity to the beach and restaurants. And the hosts - we asked if pharmacies are open and in 10 they showed up with the medicine at our door! Legendary hospitality.

Fab location. Large air conditioned room. Very comfortable king size bed. Beautiful view from terrace.

die Größe des Zimmers. Die Lage. Es war sehr sauber. Die Familie ist unglaublich herzlich und nett gewesen. Zur Begrüßung gab’s eine frische Kokosnuss. die Aussicht auf den Strand ist unglaublich schön gewesen.

Das Bett war sehr hart. Aber das ist Geschmackssache. Leider war das WLAN auch meistens nicht verfügbar oder sehr schwach

Blue Surf View was one of the most calming places I stayed in Sri Lanka. Opening the bedroom doors each morning to that uninterrupted sea view instantly slows you down. It’s peaceful, simple, and exactly what you want in Tangalle. The view alone makes the stay worth it. The Sri Lankan breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious and freshly prepared. The owner and her family truly ooze kindness; you feel welcomed, not just accommodated. And being just a two-minute walk from Silent Beach was perfect. I ended up having the freshest grilled calamari and lobster almost every night 11/10.

Grande chambre. Lit double très confortable (sans doute un des meilleurs au sri lanka pour le moment). Propreté irréprochable. Petits déjeuners très complets (difficile de terminer tant il y avait à manger) et variés (nous sommes restés 4 nuits). Jeune fille adorable. Terrasse avec superbe vue. Plusieurs petits restaurant délicieux à proximité. A distance de marche de la splendide Silent Beach (attention aux scorpions quand il pleut le soir sur le chemin du retour !). Cours de surf dans la baie d'Unakuruwa. Si on revient au Sri lanka, nous reviendrons ici, c'est certain.

Un des frigo (nous avions les deux chambres doubles à l'étage) a congelé une pastèque. Peut-être à régler ? Mais sinon rien de négatif à signaler !

Sehr schöne Lage mit traumhaftem Meerblick – man wacht auf und schaut direkt aufs Wasser. Sehr gute Restaurants und wunderschöne Strände sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Zimmer bietet ein modernes Bad sowie eine kleine, gut ausgestattete Küche. Die Klimaanlage kühlt zuverlässig, und die Besitzerfamilie ist außergewöhnlich herzlich und hilfsbereit.

Ein kleiner Hinweis: Im unteren Zimmer befindet man sich quasi direkt an der Straße. Das ist grundsätzlich nicht schlimm, ging für uns aber aus den Bildern vorab nicht eindeutig hervor.

The view from was amazing and so lovely hearing the sound of the ocean. Room was clean, spacious and the WiFi did work. Friendly owners. Over an hour to Udawala National Park

Nothing seemed to be open when we went and some restaurants looked abandoned. Not touristy and very local, which isn’t an issue but it was too quiet for such a small bay. No fault of the accommodation, but the dogs in the area barked constantly which made us feel sad as we couldn’t do much to help.

A relaxing stay at Blue Surf View – close to nature and full of charm We had a truly lovely stay at Blue Surf View. The location is perfect – just a few steps from Unakuruwa Beach and only a short walk from the stunning and peaceful Silent Beach, one of the most beautiful spots we visited in the area. Breakfast was a daily highlight, with fresh tropical fruits and delicious local flavors served with care. The atmosphere at the guesthouse is warm, quiet, and welcoming – ideal for relaxing or enjoying the nearby surf. One of the most memorable moments was watching a local climber effortlessly scale the palm trees right in the garden to bring down fresh coconuts, which we then tasted straight from the source. It was such a unique and authentic experience that we’ll never forget. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind, connect with nature, and enjoy the laid-back charm of southern Sri Lanka.

The view from our room was extraordinary. The room was immaculate and the service was brilliant. So friendly and welcoming!! The breakfast was delicious and home meade- we were stuffed every morning!! I highly suggest staying here ☺️

Wifi was weak most of the time, „balcony“ is shared with the other room, no housekeeping (stayed 5 nights), only one bathing towel and no hand towel, would be nice to have a kettle and some hangers to hang up clothes inside the room, although it said „does not accept cash“ ONLy cash was accepted

We loved the room, spacious, clean and with all the nice little things that make the difference. Breakfast was not included and no kettle but a fridge, which in the heat of Tangalle was essential. Also shelves outside the bathroom which turned out to be incredibly convenient. We loved the bed and how convenient the room was. Lovely balcony with table and chairs with view over the sea and waking distance to a couple of small but nice beaches. On site parking

This has been our favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka. The area is quiet and local yet still has everything a tourist could need. The view from the Balcony is beautiful and everything was comfortable. The hosts and local neighbours around the area were so welcoming and friendly, making the stay even more enjoyable. There is plenty of options for food around the area. As for beaches - in walking distance there is option of a swim at silent beach ( more waves/rougher water) and also at more calm beaches in the other direction. Note that You will need a tuk tuk into tangalle town area but it’s only a short ride and we only really left the area to use an ATM. Wish we had booked here for longer! ( P.S please say hello to the local very friendly doggies and give them some treats for us)

We enjoyed everything. The facilities, the location, everything. Breakfast was delicious every morning, so many varieties of Sri Lanka style breakfast dishes, absolutely great! Prepared and served by lovely smiling hostess. The warmth of welcoming you by the hosts can’t forget.

You know when you book a homestay and you know that the hosts will help you with anything you need? Well here it’s not. The hosts especially the woman were so not nice, she didn’t speak English but I have been traveling Sri Lanka for a month and even the hosts that didn’t dorks English were amazing. She was just not nice, not willing to help, she looked cross all the time.. Breakfast was a scam - dry toast and one (!!!) egg between me and my partner.. and we don’t even eat eggs.. but of course she didn’t bother to ask us as she just didn’t care, some fruits and that’s it - don’t take the breakfast. The room big and empty.. without love or energy like the hosts…the view between the electricity lines was ok. The balcony- isn’t a balcony but the entrance to the room with your neighbors. Look for anther property- there are so many of them..

Well located in walking distance to silent beach and the village. Large rooms and air con worked well. Owner was friendly and welcoming

WiFi was a little patchy so was difficult to work from but good enough for what’s app/general google search etc

This was the highlight of our trip! We actually loved it so much that we left for 2 days before changing our plans to come back and stay again. The accommodation itself is brand new, exceptionally clean, very nice bathroom, storage and fridge inside a massive room with AC. Bed and linen were the most comfortable on our trip. Wake up and watch the ocean from your bed or balcony. If a quiet seaside location with small waves, multiple pristine beaches, friendly locals and great restaurants (and good coffee) all in one spot is for you, then don’t miss the opportunity to stay here! Thank you to our amazing hosts for making our stay unforgettable. We will be back, again :)

The property is located only 2min away from the beach. The view from the balcony is astonishing. The room is clean and very big. We ate breakfast at the hotel and were always amazed. It’s really delicious. Dinner we ate at the Wife’s Kitchen Restaurant which we can only recommend (it’s only 3min away)

There’s is nothing to complain about

While very little English is spoken by Hilda and her husband, they were great hosts and very friendly and helpful. The room (one of only two) was spacious and clean. Nice hot shower and a big balcony to watch the waves rolling in and the world go by. Sri Lankan breakfast was HUGE, albeit marginally more expensive than we expected.

It might be the time of year (late July), but the small bay was not really suitable for swimming; big winds and steep beach slope resulting in dumping waves. The small rock pool at our end of the bay probably not even good for small children at this time of year. Fairly limited food opportunities in this isolated area when not ‘in season’. Ceylon Chef, around the corner shut the day after we had dinner there ( a great place to eat) until the season starts around December. None of this is really a criticism of the property, more providing info pertaining to selecting a place to stay in the Tangalle area.

- Stunning view on the ocean from the balcony - Great location (amazing beaches close by: Silent Beach and Paradise beach -> make sure to visit Paradise beach!) - Amazing breakfast (The caring host offers a massive breakfast, The fruit platter was always a highlight of the day) - Spotless clean. We have very high hygenic standards and did not have to worry about anything here. The sheets were clean and smelled very good, just like the towels - Very good facilities (great air condition, fridge, shower) - Good restaurants close by (make sure to go to Wives kitchen and eat the Kottu) We liked it so much that we extended our stay. Thanks again for everything.

The couple that run the property are lovely, did not speak English but helped us arrange transport and dietary problems regardless. Good locations and large rooms.

New and perfectly clean room with an amazing view over the bay and reef break. The host family is so nice and helpful and prepares the best breakfast we had so far on our trip. We definitely want to come back!

Brand new accomodation with amazing ocean view. Very clean. Family run this homestay was so friendly. We felt very welcomed. They also organise the scooter for us. Very tasty breakfast. Comfy beds. Good shower. Fridge in the room. We stayed one more extra night and we would stay even longer if they are not booked. The best place in Sri Lanka. Very quite and relaxing. Definitely recommend.

We loved everything.

The view was amazing, also it was very clean and everything was new. The family is very heartful and nice, we loved our stay with them. The sea at this area is a little raw but just in front of the accommodation is a little sea ‚pool‘ were our kids could go swimming easily (: we recommend booking with breakfast because it is not common in the area to serve breakfast.

It was pure pleasure to stay at Blue Surf View. The apartments are recently renovated and the view from the balcony is stunning.
