Reviewed Aug 24, 2026The location is absolutely stellar. You can walk to the beach in a little over 5 minutes. The ocean is right across the street for sunsets, as are some hiking trails. The hosts are super thoughtful. When they figured out that I only eat goat's milk yogurt and not cow, they found some at the store and were sure to provide it. They showed me the local way to have coffee - with a dash of olive oil. They keep the place very neat and clean and provide fresh beach towels, umbrellas, cold water, snacks, and everything you need for a great day at the beach except a cooler for your drinks!
The place is close to both the town square and a lively little bar. There were events about every other night, some better than others, but which go til fairly late in the evening. This was mostly really fun, such as the samba night, but there was also a techno night where booming techno could be heard until at least midnight. We closed the window and it was fine, and since the weather was quite cool at night, it wasn't really a big deal to close the window. Just be aware if you're sound sensitive.

We stayed here for three nights and can honestly say that this was one of the best - if not the best - hosting experiences we have ever had. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome and genuinely cared for. The hosts were exceptionally warm, kind and attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They were always happy to help with absolutely anything we needed, were available around the clock, and were also regularly on site. You could truly feel how much they care about their guests and how much heart they put into everything they do. The entire accommodation was exceptionally clean, tidy and very well maintained. The rooms are beautifully equipped and have everything you could possibly need - there was honestly nothing missing throughout our entire stay. The attention to detail was exceptional: even beach towels and sun umbrellas were provided for guests to use. The bathroom was just as thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need. It genuinely felt as though the hosts had thought of absolutely everything. Breakfast was another highlight. Every morning, everything was prepared and arranged with so much care and attention to detail, with a wonderful selection of everything you could wish for. Once again, there was absolutely nothing missing, and it was the perfect way to start each day. As wonderful as the accommodation itself was, what made our stay truly unforgettable were the hosts. Their warmth and hospitality felt incredibly genuine and personal, and it is rare to meet people who put so much heart into making their guests feel completely at home. We never felt like we were simply guests staying at an accommodation - we felt truly welcomed and looked after. These are the kind of people and experiences you remember long after a trip is over.

Reviewed May 26, 2026Wir hatten wundervolle Gastgeber, die uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt haben. Wir konnten uns in der Küche jederzeit einen Kaffee oder Tee zubereiten. Theoretisch hätten wir auch die Waschmaschine nutzen können. Unsere Gastgeber hatten auch darauf bestanden, dass wir uns eine Wegzehrung zubereiten nach dem Frühstück. Alles war super sauber. Wir hatten mit Zimmer 4 einen eigenen Balkon. Sehr zentral gelegen.
Die Einrichtung war schon etwas älter.

Reviewed May 25, 2026Die überaus freundliche Wisa beim Ckeck In. So eine zuvorkommende, positive, hilfsbereite Person muss deutlich erwähnt werden. Der Rest war ebenfalls tadellos. Großes Zimmer im portugiesischem Stil mit Balkon und Meerblick. Sowie eigenem, riesigem Badezimmer. Alles sehr gepflegt und sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war schlicht aber fein. Es wird angeboten sich Brote und Obst zum Wandern mit zu nehmen. Sehr nett.

Our room was 1st floor, no balcony. There was street noise and we could hear the movings about of the people upstairs. Old house so not much you can do about that.

Durch viele liebevolle Details fühlten wir uns rundum versorgt. Überraschend und genial waren die verfügbaren Lebensmittel mit denen man sich selbst Frühstück und Vesper machen kann. Würden jederzeit auch für längere Aufenthalte wiederkommen.

Reviewed Apr 9, 2026Hartelijke ontvangst. Ontbijt inbegrepen en je mag ook lunchpakket maken. Perfect op de route Almograve-Zambujeira do Mar als je fe Fishermen’s trail loopt. Er was ook een wasmachine en droogkast aanwezig. We hebben hier geen gebruik van gemaakt maar kan handig zijn als je aan het trekken bent.

Das Zimmer war etwas dunkel, aber das ist eigentlich kein Problem

Pár minut od centra. Moc vstřícný majitel i další personál, psala jsem na poslední chvíli, že dorazím později, zareagovali velmi rychle, nic nebyl problém. Výborná snídaně.
Nejdřív vyšší cena, ale po té zkušenosti těch peněz nelituju.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Wir wurden von den Besitzern persönlich mit einem Getränk und Kuchen empfangen. Man hat sich ein wenig ausgetauscht und hat anschließend die Zimmer gezeigt bekommen. Viele kleine Extras wie Wasser auf dem Zimmer, Notfallnähzeug, Einwegzahnbürste, plus Zahnpasta. Sauber, mit Liebe eingerichtet. Es gab ein ausgezeichnetes Frühstück wo Wünsche umgesetzt wurden. Hierbei gab es noch persönliche Empfehlungen der Besitzer zu den Örtlichkeiten. Zudem ging es meiner Begleitung gesundheitlich nicht ganz so gut und hierfür wurden extra Besorgungen gemacht und sich nachträglich nach deren Empfinden erkundet. Klare Weiterempfhelung, wir würden das Hotel wieder buchen.

Lovely touches like Pastel de nata on arrival and fruit and ample water and towels to take to the beach. They promised us a lovely breakfast with fresh local bread and sandwiches to take for lunch but sadly we decided to leave very early as we had alot of km to walk and wanted to make headway before the sun was too hot. We were sad and sorry not to share what I’m sure was a lovely breakfast with them. Also great location for the beach. And a balcony off the room and bidet to fill with ice to soak tired feet in!

Wir wurden mit einem reichhaltigen Frühstück versorgt, durften uns immer Trinken nehmen und durften auch was für die Wanderung mitnehmen. Getoppt wurde das durch die sehr leckeren Pasteis de Nata.

Sehr gutes Frühstück mit allem was dazugehört! Lunchpaket am Morgen zum Mitnehmen! Die Gastgeber sind sehr, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Con la sua collaboratrice si è occupato di noi in modo assolutamente perfetto. ci ha subito offerto uno spuntino (era metà pomeriggio) e invitato ad usufruire liberamente degli spazi comuni, frigorifero e cibo compresi. il giorno della partenza, dopo una ricca colazione, ci ha offerto di portare cibo e bevande per il proseguo del nostro cammino (mai successo in tanti anni di viaggi!). un ospite delizioso

Gutes Frühstück und auch gerne die Möglichkeit eine Proviantüte mitzunehmen. Dankeschön dafür auch die Hausschuhe waren nach der Wanderung eine sehr angenehme Erholung für die Füsse 👍 Liebe Grüße Hanne und Bernd
