Reviewed May 22, 2026Excellent value for money. Very spacious, new, clean, well maintained. Beautiful decor. Great communication. It has everything you need for a comfortable or extended stay. The housekeeper is also on the ball and very helpful.
We set the alarm which has beams outside. It went off in the middle of the night which terrified us coming from Joburg. But we reset it and it didn’t go off again thankfully.

Reviewed Apr 7, 2026The accommodation is beautifully decorated, well equipped, and clean. It is nearby the main street so walkable to the restaurants and shops. The patio is covered and gets cozy and warm in the morning, while the house gets comfortable in the afternoon. The check in was smooth and without any delays. The blankets are provided for warmth as well. We felt at home. This was relaxing place, a real retreat.
I could not find a hair dryer. Few coffee or tea sachets would be a nice welcome touch. A small kitchen paring knife would be nice to have.

Reviewed Mar 2, 2026Perfect for our purposes. The host provided basic information and was responsive to queries. Everything we needed was provided, and some more. Beautifully clean and comfy. The 'vetsak' was a winner.
A couple of small details would have helped us, like written directions to compliment the location pin (which assumes connectivity) and perhaps pulling up the (substantial and highly impressive) patio awnings as part of the preparation for guests.

Reviewed Nov 29, 2025Cabaña muy comoda, limpia y espaciosa. Lindo jardin con parrilla. Cocina completa con todo lo necesario. Internet con buena señal que para nosotros que trabajamos remoto funcionaba excelente. La calle principal esta a unos 5 minutos en auto y hay un pub local a 2 cuadras que puedes ir caminando. Disfrutamos mucho nuestra estacia en Idlewood.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2025Wir haben auf der Durchreise eine Nacht hier verbracht. Perfekter Kontakt und Abwicklung durch die Gastgeberin. Wir waren im Juli da und hatten die nächtliche Abkühlung unterschätzt. Man sollte den verfügbaren Ofen nutzen um das Haus für die Nacht vorzuwärmen - unser Fehler. Zum Glück waren aber genügend Decken für eine gemütliche Nacht in den bequemen Betten vorhanden. In den Bädern haben Wärmelampen schnell dafür gesorgt, dass wir nicht frieren mussten.

Reviewed Apr 22, 2025This was a great find with a very easy check in and out. The unit was very clean, fully kitted with everything you need, lots of means to keep warm. It's such a comfortable place, both inside and outside - the braai area is so lovely. We would definitely come back! Also insanely comfortable beds and bedding.
