Close to everything and a great breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Located only a short walk from the beautiful Staubbach Falls and all the beautiful Lauterbrunnen views! Many excellent dining options and souvenir shops. Although the property is quiet old, our room was very clean and comfortable. Extra pillows provided. Beds very comfortable! We chose to include the motel breakfasts each morning which include pastries, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, deli-style meats, waffles, pancakes and usually boiled eggs. We were met by Eliza (not sure if I spelled her name correctly) who was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed our conversations with her. She was a delightful young lady. This visit was exceptional for us, and we would certainly recommend it to others!

For some, the room we had (#4) which was directly on the street level, was a bit noisy at times and we could hear the church bells chiming at all hours (not an issue for us--we loved hearing them!}. The room is not large, but we spent most of our time away from the room soaking up the views!

Breakfast was quite well and sufficient, There were enough and delicious stuff. I liked it.

Beautiful location with awesome view of the falls. Room was clean and very comfortable. Best shower pressure yet on our Europe trip.

As it is a heritage building, there isn’t AC but having a fan and opening the window helped on hot nights.

Chalet Rosa B&B is heel centraal gelegen. De gasten krijgen naast hun kamer ook een « living » ter beschikking waar koffie en thee faciliteiten gratis aangeboden worden. Je kan tevens gebruikmaken van een frigo en Microwave. Onze kamer was ruim en proper. De bedden zijn van goede kwaliteit. Owv een dubbele boeking kregen we niet de de kamer die we boekten, maar we werden hier vooraf over geïnformeerd, wat « correct » aanvoelde.

We had a wonderful stay in this cosy B&B. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. Great staff, excellent communication. Nice shower/bath, comfortable beds, decent WiFi. About 10 minutes walk from the train and between two bus stops. Close to everything in Lauterbrunnen and easy to take the train to all the nearby sites. Very nice breakfast and common area. For those over 6 feet tall, the ceilings are a bit low. Great place to stay, highly recommend.

Since property is right on the main thoroughfare it was noisy at night. Also no AC.

A közösségi helyiségben mikrohullámú sütő, tányérok, poharak, evőeszközök vannak kikészítve, mindenki elfogyaszthatja a saját ételét, készíthet teát, ehhez is minden rendelkezésre áll. Van közös hűtő. A személyzet rendkívül kedves és segítőkész. Kívánni se lehetne jobbat. Köszönünk mindent!

Anna was the staff person with whom we dealt the most, and she was wonderful: friendly, helpful, funny, interesting, expertly knowledgeable, and generous. Gabby handled our reservations, and did so without a problem. Communications were excellent.

Lauterbrunnen was a bit more crowded than 40 years ago, but what place isn't? Truly, with respect to Chateau Rosa, there was absolutely nothing that we didn't like.

Expect of the location and the waterfall view there is nothing to like in Chalet Rosa

Everything about this place was disappointing. They proudly claim that Chalet Rosa was built 400 years ago. Judging by its condition, one could easily believe it hasn't been renovated since then. What a dump. Amazing. There is no air conditioning — but they do provide a fan, which is hardly an adequate substitute during the the hot swiss summer. Even more surprising, after 12 p.m. there are apparently no staff members on the premises. You are basically left on your own. You get the code for the door, and by by till tomorrow morning. There is a difference between staying in a charming 400-year-old historic building and staying in a place that simply feels old, neglected and badly in need of renovation. Unfortunately, Chalet Rosa falls firmly into the second category.

Exceptional view of the falls. The property is a chalet in both name and feel. The room had a comfortable country feel. Sitting on the edge of the village, it’s peaceful. The manager/receptionist/hostess is the hardest working person in Switzerland - always helpful and gracious. The breakfast was good. I would definitely return there.

A historic property, there is no provision for air conditioning. Around 30c. when we arrived, it was quite warm. The manager had taken the initiative and placed a large fan in the room.

Posizione fantastica!! Avevamo la camera con vista cascata! Letto molto comodo. L'hotel è pulito e silenzioso. La colazione è molto gustosa con dolce e salato. Molto soddisfatti.

Location was great, close to train station connecting other villages and cities. Room view was great, looking at the waterfall. There was a separate open area where we could have tea or coffee for free. Staff was very friendly, specially Anna who works in the kitchen made our mornings positive.

The breakfast was awesome. The location was great and the owners were quite thoughtful with everything.

The host was lovely and provided breakfast was lovely. The host was by herself the day that we stayed, and I don't know how she managed it, but she excelled. The room was nice, and the view from the room was ridiculously beautiful.

I'm 6'4", and the ceilings are very short. There is no AC, and we visited during the summer heat wave. With the provided fans and at night, it was manageable.

Nothing it is perfect

Spacious room and bathroom, small desk so not really a place go sit in the room. Location right in the centre of Lauterbrunnen, 8min walk to supermarket and station. Clean, good beds, good temperature in summer. Great shower! Complementary water, tea and coffee which was very much appreciated. Great and diverse breakfast. Very lovely personnel! Super friendly and always a smile on their face. Would definitely recommend.

A little bit more information regarding all the different hiking trails etc would be very helpful since there is so much to do with different difficulty degrees

It was clean, spacious, and we had the best view from our room!

The only thing I didn’t like was how expensive it was per night.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had 4 ppl room, nice and spacious. It was about 13 mins walk from the train station, all the way through the village, but very close to Staubbach falls. The included breakfast was fantastic, quite a few options, including a wonderful selection of Swiss cheeses and deli meat. Anna working in kitchen was a gem, always smiley with helpful tips. She made us feel very welcome! The common room was nice, some complimentary drinks and you could borrow some cutlery, plates and glasses if needed. We had a great stay!

The location was perfect, from our windows we saw a waterfall.. The staff was very friendly and kind... The breakfast was very, very good , fresh and delicious. The comfortable garden with perfect views and barbicue options. Free coffee and tea , and comfortable lounge to have a coffee.

The matress on the bed was not comfortable at all...it feels more like a hammock than a mattress . I couldn't sleep well .

Sehr kleines Zimmer, vollgestopft mit unnötigen, unbrauchbaren Möbeln. Kein TV. Fenster unmittelbar auf öffentlichen Fussweg hinaus. Preis absolut nicht gerechtfertigt.

Sauberkeit, war klebrig im Frühstückraum!!! Kein Zimmerservice… bei diesem Preis! Nur Englisch in der Schweiz, da fühl ich mich als Schweizer nicht willkommen!

The included breakfast was fantastic! We had air conditioning which was quite welcome. The location was good. Easy walk to the train station.

Our room was on the main Street so there was some street noise, loud trucks early in the morning.

The room was great with amazing mountain view. Location is barely 50m walk from the falls. Loved the breakfast, there were so many vegan and vegetarian options as well. It felt really warm and comfortable with the host. They took care of our requests. It felt like home with the hosts.

The property has a great location, in walking distance to the train station and close to waterfalls, restaurants and convenient stores , and in the center of the valley. Our room has a lovely Mountain View. The room is very clean and beds are comfortable. Check-in and check -out are very fast.

Room is a bit small for a family of three. However, this is understandable as it is a small hostel located in the center of the valley. Also, breakfast is just ok. 😊

Nos ha encantado. Ubicación muy buena, junto a la cascada que la veíamos desde la habitación. Tiene una terraza maravillosa con vistas a la cascada donde se puede comer o pasar un rato de relax. El desayuno estupendo. Y sobre todo la atención extraordinaria.

We loved our stay at Chalet Rosa!! The location was perfect and the rooms were a good size and very clean. There is a large great room with tables and chairs, couches, and complimentary coffee / water and it was fun to relax in there and play cards in the evening. There were also some tables out front that we could sit at and just people watch. The breakfast was terrific each morning. But most of all, the hostesses were incredibly kind and welcoming and even packaged up breakfast to go for us on one morning when we left early to hike. Cannot recommend Chalet Rosa enough! We would definitely stay there again!!

Position on the main road due to traffic noise particularly early morning delivery lorries

The staff were very friendly. Gaby couldn’t do enough to help us get settled and have a comfortable stay. The communal lounge was well equipped including crockery and cutlery to allow you to eat there.

The property is a traditional chalet built a long time ago well before the current impacts of climate change. As a result it doesn’t have air conditioning and so the rooms were a little warm. There were fans available in the rooms which helped.

Chalet Rosa B&B was a great place to stay. The staff is extremely friendly, kind and willing to answer questions about your stay and places to visit in the area. The facility and room was very clean. The breakfast was amazing and had a great variety. Would love to stay here again!

Loved everything!

Nicely located at the quieter end of Lauterbrunnen, with easy access to the hiking trails. The staff was helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast had quite a variety and they kept it wonderfully stocked. The rooms have incredible views and are very comfortable.

Availability of ice would be nice. Luckily, my family had access to ice across the street at Hotel Staubbach.

Great location. Good sized rooms, comfortable common room with a few board games the family enjoyed. Easy check in and out.

Breakfast was varied but no hot eggs or meat. Lots of breads and pastries though. Ok but not as good as we’ve seen at other B&Bs.

Perfect location, right at the center of Lauterbrunnen, within walking distance of a really nice waterfall and train stations, mountain right in front. Great view from the room, nice breakfast, the staff is super nice and helpful. Comfy beds (for our personal taste).

Beautiful location… Friendly staff… just the right size and that it was not too big or too small. Perfect!

The location seemed farther from the train station than described, especially given navigating through very crowded sidewalks with luggage to the other end of town. But it was great for access to the trail, and right next to the waterfall.

The breakfast was mediocre. There was no staff onsite except for in the morning for breakfast and housekeeping. We were there for two nights, and our room was not serviced. There was a long flight of stairs, and no elevator, and nobody there to help us haul or luggage up. For the price of this place, I expect better.

I liked location, cleanliness and how quiet the area was

We were on the lower floor and it was pretty warm inside. We tried to have our windows open but at night we were worried about the path alongside us. One morning a cat jumped in while a window was open. Maybe a screen on lower windows?

The room was rather small but was totally adequate for the needs of a married couple who intended to spend all their time seeing the wonders of the Alps nearby. The view at the window was worthy of a picture postcard. The Chalet was near the Staubach Falls and within easy walking distance of all the restaurants in town. The breakfast was more than adequate with quite a variety of choices. We considered it an excellent value.

We traveled light, so it was not a problem for us. But the room would simply not have accommodated three or more pieces of luggage. There was no elevator. An elderly couple or someone with back issues should consider that.

We loved being able to check ourselves in and we chose to go the private route. We are introverts just needing a place to stay and this was perfect for that. I think its also great for people who want to meet for breakfast and speak to the other guests and hosts but thats not us.

At peak times the wifi was a little slow. Not enough that would stop me from staying again, but just a bit slow in the mornings when everyone is getting ready to start their day. Also, food options close early in this area. There is little variety after 7. We wanted to grab food and had a hard time locating an open option. We were pleasantly suprised to find a fridge at the property that had soda, water, wine, beer, etc and a selectiom of snacks to buy. That was a wonderful suprise. Be prepared and have food before 7pm in Lauterbrunnen.

Anna was a welcoming and terrific host. The location was perfect. The room was spacious and the breakfast hearty.

Such a cute place in an old building which has been renovated. Large room, plenty of space. Great breakfast with large selection. They let us check in early. Great location to bus stop and famous waterfall/church. Slippers available if you wanted. Chocolates in room.

Breakfast was perfect, the chalet was quiet and perfectly clean. Great amenities for the age of the building, such as excellent water pressure in the shower, great windows, comfortable beds. We were delighted with our stay and would wholeheartedly recommend this place and it's wonderful staff to anyone staying in Lauterbrunnen.

We stayed during a heat wave and extra fans or a portable air conditioning unit would have been amazing.
