Patricia and Micheal are wonderful people. I came to Brussels looking for a place to rent and I was very stressed as a foreigner. They were lovely, calm and incredibly helpful. I must say I didn’t know what to expect from Belgium as a fresh PhD student but they certainly showed me that things will be alright and this is a nice city with nice people.

Only 15 minute walk from Metro, delicious breakfast and wonderful owners.

We received a warm welcome before even reaching the property, as we bumped into Michel as he was walking the dog in the nearby park and he led us the rest of the way to the house. My room was pleasant, with a very comfortable bed that allowed me to get some good sleep (despite our visit being at the height of the heat wave - fortunately there was a nice, powerful fan in the room), a table and a couple of chairs that gave me space to sort out my things. Breakfast was simple but always delicious - we were served ham and cheese, tomatoes, fresh bread, pastries, yoghurt and coffee, accompanied by wonderful chats with our hosts (usually including valuable tips on the best way to get where we needed to go and other handy local knowledge). We felt very welcome every moment of the stay, and were sad to leave Michel and Patricia behind at the end.

The only thing that was less than perfect was that the only toilet was downstairs, right by the main door. But this was less inconvenient than expected, and there's not much they can do about the layout of the house. The location is also about 40 minutes from the city centre on public transport, which isn't too bad but should be kept in mind when planning.

It was great to at Chez Mimi, very relaxing and cosy. I had a good time sharing memories and bits of life with Michel and Patricia. They have a cute and tiny garden as well, pity I couldn't enjoy much of it due to the weather.

A real homestay experience! Simple, cozy, and you feel right at home. The hosts are very warm and it's so easy to chat with them. Plus, it's only a 20 to 25-minute trip to Brussels center by public transport!

I stayed here 1 year ago and decided to stay again for the entire week: Patricia and Michel are kind, humble and you feel at home although you are technically a guest. Breakfast is very good, you have close by metro and bus stations (within decent walking distance) to get anywhere and a nice cozy place (clean and comfortable) waiting when you want to rest at the end of your day. Big "Coucou" and "Bisous" to both Patricia and Michel and hope to be back again next year!

Shared toilet (downstairs) and bathroom (upstairs) - but it is manageable

Michael and Patricia both are very sweet and welcoming. They made me feel as if I was at home and they took good care of me. Breakfast with them was quite pleasing and made me feel quite welcomed. Their dog Coquette is a very friendly and a beautiful dog who makes you fall in love with dogs.

L'accueil et la gentillesse du couple d'hôtes Michel et Patricia. Bonnes suggestions d'endroits à visiter de la part de Michel (et aussi l'atelier à frites qui était excellent surtout les frites à la carbonnade flamande 👍). Petit déjeuner sympa (j'ai bien apprécié le fondant au chocolat du dimanche matin 😊). Quartier très agréable à côté d'un petit bois et très calme.

Comme beaucoup d'autres avis seul petit bémol sur les toilettes à l'étage du dessous mais cela reste un détail.

Logeurs très accueillants et très ouverts à la discussion, surtout sur l'histoire de la Belgique ! Petits déjeuner royal (ça va bien avec les Belges) aux petits oignons. Quartier très calme. Végétation environnante. Revues passionnantes dans la chambre. Et merci pour le chocolat, il m'a été très utile lors de mon périple à vélo ...

Gentillesse des hôtes

Great place and host (very good conversations if you want), the house is in a quiet and good neighborhood, next to a park, close to the bus. There are a few nice restaurants and a big fruit/vegetable shop near by. And the living room has a real fireplace you can also enjoy. Overall a very cozy place, if you prefer a room in a host house - and for sure a different (and lovely) experience from a hotel or regular apartment.

The bathroom is shared - it was clean and you have all you need. There is a sink in the bedroom though.

The hosts were incredibly kind and prepared a nice breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and cozy and the bed was very comfortable. They even provided a little chocolate, cookie, and a bottle of water. They also had a robe and slippers to use around the house.

It was a little farther outside the center, but the host gave me great directions on the best way to get into the center area.

This was one of the most cozy accommodations I've had! What made it special were the hosts, a beautiful couple who together make this place a true experience. Nothing you are used to in a normal booking, mainly because it's a shared house experience. But what might seem like an inconvenience, turns into a truly welcoming home away from home. Clean, rustic, cozy and a very strong authentic vibe. Additionally, they make the best breakfast, and are simply a charming presence. Strongly recommend.

Because of my trips to toilet in night - was not so perfect to have to go outside several times - but I have to admit that it was more my own fear to wake everybody up when I was opening the door and going to stairs -

Upon arrival I was a bit unsure which way my room was and should I enter what looked like someones living room where a dog was barking. But quick phone call cleared things up immediately so no problem!

I liked everything

It was lovely to return to this sanctuary in a peaceful garden suburb after visiting the bustling centre of Brussels. It's easy to get to and from the centre by a nearby metro station and a pleasant 10 minute from house to metro. There's a nice small wood opposite the house. Patricia and Michel are lovely hosts and very widely travelled. They offer good suggestions and were good company at breakfast

Patricia and Michel are very welcoming, thoughtful and helpful hosts. I enjoyed staying with them. The room was very comfortable and the house is located in a nice peaceful garden suburb of Brussels. Getting to the city centre was easy, a 12 minute pleasant walk through a small wood and quiet streets to the nearest Metro station which gets you in very quickly. It is a nice contrast to the bustling centre.

Mr. Michel and Ms. Patricia were exceptional hosts, making my stay truly memorable. Breakfast wasn’t just a meal; it was an opportunity for conversation, where we exchanged ideas and perspectives. I can genuinely say that I learned a lot in just two days. Their pets added an extra layer of warmth to their cozy home, and the location is fantastic—just a 30-ish-minute walk to the center. Though I only stayed for two nights, I left feeling like I had made two friends. I will certainly miss them and look forward to returning in the future!

The host is very nice and friendly. You are staying in a private house on the upper floor. The breakfast is made by the host herself and she personally adjusts to your preferences. All my wishes have been taken into account. There was even breakfast prepared for me although I had to depart at 5:30 am. All in all, for someone who is looking for a cozy and friendly place in Brussels and not a hotel, it's a marvelous place.

there is nothing particularly negative. Some may find it less convenient to use shared bathroom and have cat in the house, but it has its charm.

This is a private family house (bed and breakfast with shared facilities) in brussels outskirts. Easy free street parking, quite neighbourhood, night shop on walking distance. Pleasant hosts, the owners of the house which live there themselves. They are experienced travellers themselves.

The location was a bit far from the closest metro station. And because of the slopes, it was hard for me to reach there with a big baggage.
