Nous avons adoré notre séjour. Le personnel était exceptionnel et a pris le temps de nous donner des conseils pour visiter la ville. La chambre était également très propre et bien décorée en plus que l'hôtel était bien située!!

The breakfast was good. And we loved the area of the city. The parc across the street was a great neighbour.

We had a big room in the basement, and it smelled like a basement. The windows could not open. The room had no daylight. There where no possibilites for rescue in case of an emergency. We wanted an extra key for the room, because we stayed two persons, but that was not available. We also asked for an iron three days in a row, and they told us that we would get one, but we didn't.

Het tweepersoonsbed is niet groter dan een twijfelaar, gewoon echt te krap… en wij vinden de kussens erg hard. en geen airco, hierdoor moesten we de ramen open zetten en werden we de hele nacht getreiterd door muggen!

Unglaublich schönes Zimmer. Extrem geschmacksvoll eingerichtet mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail. Wir hatten ein sehr großes Zimmer mit Wohnzimmer. Die Einrichtung war einzigartig. Das Frühstück frisch und selbstgemacht. Unschlagbar zudem die Lage. Direkt gegenüber von einem kleinen süßen Park.

Great location in Lisbon right by two lovely parks and walking distance to the nicest streets. We loved our room which was very large, private and silent, very comfortable and it had a nice view to the botanical gardens at the back.

La struttura si trova in una zona molto tranquilla (principe real). Sotto l’hotel ci sono vari autobus per arrivare nelle zone centrali. Lo staff è veramente cordiale e gentile, sempre pronto a risolvere ogni problema dei clienti. La stanza è accogliente.

Dal momento che molte parti della stanza sono in legno non è molto isolata dai rumori. Ad esempio si sentivano gli scarichi dei bagni dei piani superiori e il rumore delle stoviglie della colazione (eravamo al secondo piano dove c’era la stanza della colazione)

The breakfast was wonderful. Lots of options, good quality, and very nicely presented. The windows were so lovely! We had a great view of the park across the street. Such a pretty old building with high ceilings and character.

Our room on the 2nd floor faced the park and given that we stayed on Friday & Saturday nights, we had to listen to bar-goers until 5am. Even with the windows closed and ear plugs, it was quite loud.

Great location. Amazing food spots nearby. 15/20 minute walk to central Lisbon.

We requested extra pillows (only given one each) on day 1 and they never came after a few attempts at asking and being told they would sort it out. Bedding was strange and not up to standard. Phone number they provide when no one is at reception didn’t work. Weird smell in the room, it was perfectly clean but just smelled funny.

Die Unterkunft und das Zimmer sind super schön und einzigartig eingerichtet. Mit einem unglaublichen Auge zum Detail, besonderen Möbelstücken und Dekoration. Das Zimmer war sehr groß, mit einem Wohnzimmer. Meine Eltern liebten vor allem das Frühstück, alles frisch gemacht und leckerem Kuchen. Die Lage ist sowieso unschlagbar, wenn man sich gerne direkt gegenüber in den Park setzt. Meine Eltern werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen (Ü60), ich lebe in Lissabon.

Camera pulita, staff accogliente, posizione un po’ lontana dal centro ma intorno ha posti tipici del luogo, sicura e poco rumorosa.

Avevamo visto le camere su Booking, e c’è dispiaciuto che la nostra fosse in un altro palazzo ai piani sotto, con vista sul “giardino” cioè i bidoni della spazzatura. Credo sia stata solo una nostra sfortuna.

First, we’ve got incomplete instructions on how to check in and we came at around midnight, so that was a little kinda escape room quest, which arriving after a day long trip at midnight was not the most fun part. Second, next day there’s no hot water in the shower. I left a message in the evening in WhatsApp and tried to call without success. Next morning I went to reception and were told to wait and wait we did. However, nothing happened until I sent another message and were informed that there was a problem and were offered to move to another room. Which we did. Third, after we checked out and returned to Spain we found out that we left $200 on the couch in the first room (rushing and packing to move rooms), but unfortunately the hotel management could not track that money (which is totally understandable if they used outsourced housekeeping)

Just one negative and it’s just how dark the hallway is before you enter the room, especially at night. But wasn’t a massive deal.

Great location, attentive staff and cool boutique rooms in a beautiful historic building.

The hotel is well located in one of the main central areas of Lisbon and close to bars, restaurants, shops. I would like to thank Miguel for his warm hospitality, kindness and professionalism throughout my stay. He took the time to recommend some nice local restaurants and I also appreciated his assistance in arranging taxis and helping me with my luggage that arrived the following day.

Unfortunately I was disappointed about my stay. This hotel offers rooms which are located in a separate building from the main reception and this was where they put me which was not made clear at the time of the booking. As a solo female traveler I felt isolated and unsafe. On top of that during the second night there was a constant shouting from the room next to me with a couple constantly slamming doors until early morning and disruptive behavior. I felt frightened and distressed at times, reception is not available 24/7 and I tried calling them but nobody picked up, so I would not recommend for women traveling alone. I asked to change room which they organized for me at the last night after my repeated request. This experience fell below basic expectations of safety and comfort. Hotel should make clear that you could be in the “dungeon” area and it is where nobody should stay.

Our second time staying at the property. Love the location, staff, the building and how well maintained especially being an old one.

Breakfast could get better. Not really changed from 2yrs ago. Maybe add a cooler or have more ventilation in rooms

The light switch in the front entryway was not working when we were there.

Das Zimmer war sehr klein, laut und es hat muffig gerochen. Außerdem gab es kein richtiges Badezimmer. Die Toilette war ohne Abluft in einer viel zu kleinen Kammer mit Schwingtüren direkt neben dem Bett. Die Dusche war auch ebenfalls ohne Abluft mit im Zimmer.

Lo conocía de otra vez y por eso repetimos muy gustosos, pero nos tocó una habitación que no nos gustó mucho. Tenía la ducha en la propia habitación con una mampara. El lavabo en otro lugar de la habitación y el inodoro en una especie de hueco. Creo que la solución para esa habitación no es la mejor.

Fantastic service. The people were amazing. They were welcoming and ask multiple times if they could assist with anything. And fantastic location.

The room was a bit outdated, but very spacious. It seemed a bit too expensive compared to what it was.

The room we booked didn’t state that a shower would be in the middle of the room, me and my friend stayed here and it made it a little bit uncomfortable, wish we knew this before booking, the shower wasn’t misted and didn’t even have a curtain either. Also the room didn’t exactly look like the picture on the website unfortunately.

Excellent location near enough to the nightlife of Lisbon but removed from the party vibe. On the bus, tram line for easy access and outstanding staff. The decor and vibe are well curated and breakfast was topnotch

The rooms are very spacious with a sitting room, large bathroom and bedroom. The boutique furniture and decorations were nice. There is air conditioning in the bedroom that works well, though it can get hot in the sitting room. The breakfast was excellent with fresh eggs, pastries, fruit and more.

Arriving was a real challenge. I got to the facility around and could not reach anyone to get into the facility and no one responded on the emergency number. The lobby is behind 2 secured doors that are only open during the day. I had to book another hotel after traveling 24 hours to get there for the night. If you are arriving outside of 4pm, be very specific on with the property on how to get into it. The hotel requires that you enter a code to get two different doors and then another code to get into your room. There was an evening when the entrance codes did not work and we had no one to call to get in. Luckily, we had another guest that let us in.

Really great location, directly across from the gardens, close proximity to lots of great bars and restaurants, as well as shopping. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a cool breeze that flowed through the room. The breakfast was also very generous with lots of great options for savoury and sweet.

The floor of the shower felt squishy and a little unstable, almost like we could fall through it — quite off-putting. The hair dryer also cut out from overheating after a few seconds. Offering chilled water on arrival, especially in the heat of summer. The fridge in the room barely kept water cooler than room temp.

Asked reception in morning for two extra pillows which were not brought. Reception closed at 7.30/8pm so used WhatsApp number provided and no one even read message until next day. If there was a real emergency this is not ideal.

No cumplió las expectativas. La habitación está en otro edificio y no el que consta en Booking.com. Es una habitación en un edificio contigüo, sin recepción allí sino en el edificio publicado. La zona de las habitaciones está luego de un hall de entrada sucio y muy oscuro donde no hay luz al entrar de noche. Es necesario encenderla tocando una llave partida con riesgo de poner el dedo en el agujero que no se ve por la oscuridad (se puede usar la linterna del celular para iluminar). Un punto aparte es el baño privado. El mismo se encuentra distribuído, es decir: por un lado el inodoro en un rincón con su puerta y sin ventilación (en otros países no es reglamentario), en otra esquina la ducha encerrada en caja de vidrio, y por otro la pileta del lavabo en otra esquina. Además, no hay aire acondicionado en la habitación y hacía mucho calor en Lisboa . Dejan un ventilador encendido, lo cual como es sabido no enfría el aire sino que lo calienta. Abrir la ventana no es una opción razonable, pues Lisboa es muy animada, en particular la plaza que está enfrente tiene gente hasta altas horas de la madrugada (para evitar el ruido las ventanas tienen doble vidrio).

It was amazing nothing to change.

Çalışanlar son derece güleryüzlü ve yardımcıydı. Otelin konumu çok merkeziydi.

Odamızda çok kötü bir koku vardı. Kanalizasyon kokusu değildi, sanki bir eskici dükkanına girmiş gibi eskilik ve bir miktar rutubet kokuyordu. Otelin geneli de öyleydi. Personele bu durumu geç haber verdik, önceden haber vermememiz bizim hatamız, belki de odamızı değiştirirlerdi.

La localisation idéale pour découvrir Lisbonne à pied. Le logement (au rez-de-chaussée à l'arrière du bâtiment) spacieux et confortable. Le personnel très aimable.

Nous n'avons pas apprécié l'indisponibilité du personnel en dehors des heures d'ouverture de la réception. Lorsque notre taxi, commandé la veille par le personnel de la réception, ne s'est pas présenté à 7 heures le jour de notre départ, j'ai composé le numéro d'urgence fourni à la réception pour avoir de l'aide. J'ai reçu comme réponse que la réception n'ouvrait qu'à 8 heures...... inacceptable pour un numéro d'urgence !

The building has beautiful architecture ,location is excellent and good connections at door step. Staff very helpful especially when I wanted to book a taxi. Also provided a floor fan when I asked.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating for our baby with a crib! Comfortable bed and great location to explore Lisbon. Quiet and very "homey" with free water refills. Easy check in and check out process.

No parking included and the closest lot is about a 10 minute walk (~17 euros/night). I wish breakfast was included in the cheaper rate. No hair dryer available. Our actual room was next door to the check-in building (but the staff helped carry our bags!)

the property is well located in Principe Real. The room was the most expensive in the B&B and looked fantastic. But looks can be deceiving. The breakfast room was so small the guests were all scheduled for their breakfast time and the breakfast meal was the same limited menu every day we were there. The breakfast room was on the second floor of the B&B and the lift was broken down for the entire duration of our stay which required us to climb steep stairs every morning to eat. Not easy for older people, let alone anyone with a disability.

The biggest disappointment was the room. Large and beautifully presented with a good large bed. But the room has no air conditioning, just a cheap fan which was totally inappropriate for the most expensive room in the hotel. This is not explained in the booking materials so be careful. Worst of all the room is dangerous. Security for the room is via an old style key which is inappropriate for a modern accommodation property and was difficult to lock and unlock. The inevitable happened a couple of days into our stay. The locking system jammed and we were locked in our room. It took a staff member some time to eventually unlock the door to let us out. Imagine the result if there had been a fire! As the room was not secure, we were offered another, cheaper room with air conditioning but a bed that sagged in the middle making sleep nearly impossible. All together this was not a good value for money property.

Casa Olivier staff were exceptionally friendly. I had a late check in which they accommodated and the next day were very helpful to recommend a day itinerary and bus stops to get there. Also I loved the vintage radio and music playing in the room when we checked in

Unfortunately our room was in a basement level of a second building. The property listed accessibility and a lift but unfortunately the lift does not reach basement level. We had heavy luggage as it was the end of our trip and it was a bit scary going down the stairs with our bags without tripping. Also the bathroom had no vent for the steam so it was a bit humid. We did use a stand up portable fan that they had in a closet.

The location of Casa Oliver is amazing! You are right in the heart of it all. The neighborhood, access to Lisbon, restaurant, views, coffee shops. I would go there again because of the location.

There was a strong aroma when you walked in the hotel door. An herbal sense of some kind that was kind of strong.

The building is in a central location, you step out the front door and everything in Principe Real is close by. A beautiful park is opposite and is a nice place to sit in the evenings to enjoy music and the warm weather (my stay was April). I loved wandering the neighbourhoods of Lisbon. The room was styled beautifully. The staff were very helpful with suggestions and information. One helped me coordinate with meetong my walking tour guide. Another helped me with my bags and spoke to the Uber driver who wouldn't pick me up because I had bags, and then organised a taxi for me. I don't speak any Portuguese, so really appreciated this extra customer service. It was nice to return to my room each evening, and sit with a port.

A propriedade era muito bem localizada, no coração do bairro do Principe Real. Esse foi o highlight. O quarto em si era charmoso, bem decorado e bem limpo.

A recepção só funcionava ate as 5pm, depois disso não havia nenhum funcionário na propriedade para prestar qualquer tipo de ajuda em eventual necessidade. O elevador estava quebrado, tivemos que subir carregando malas por 2 lances de escada (que eram longos, mais pareciam 4 lances) e nenhum funcionário se disponibilizou para carrega-las. O quarto em si houve vários problemas: (i) Não tinha ar condicionado (nao notei isso no anuncio, no verao europeu acabou se mostrando complicado isso); (ii) Travesseiros ruins, pequenos e duros; (iii) A bomba de agua / compressor do banheiro fazia um barulho enorme todas as vezes quando utilizada (vaso sanitario e chuveiro), uma pessoa acordava a outra de madrugada em usando o banheiro;

Welcoming check in but when I wrote the manager about an issue in the room, he accidentally sent a message meant for housekeeping complaining about us to me! When I wrote back there was zero attempt to service recovery or apology which is absolutely mind boggling. Unprofessional and unacceptable. The room was made up nice and clean but not maintained well overall. Disappointing and doesn’t reflect the photos.

Door code entry system (3 doors between street and room, 2 different 8 figure codes) was a bit of a pain.

Amazing location, just a few minutes away from the city while still feeling like you're in more of a "quiet" part of lisbon.

I liked the characterful decor and objects and the elegance of the building. The location is great - opposite a nice park and within easy reach of most places we wanted to visit. Breakfast was nice - excellent coffee, tasty cakes - though more vegan options would have been good.

There was a nasty smell in the hallway of the main building - bad drains maybe? There was also a lot of thumping around in the room above ours one night. We would have liked more drinking water and for our tea bags to be replenished!

Douche was matig, soms lauw tot koud water. In bad staan tijdens douchen. Andere kamers van vrienden hadden een stadouche. Bed is groot genoeg maar een tikkeltje hard vond ik.

Miguel was extremely friendly and provided us with recommendations of what to see and do in the area. The bed was comfortable and room was big with tall ceilings. Our room had an area only for a toilet with a glass shower in the corner of the room.

I liked everything about this hotel. I only have good things to say.

The location was perfect! So close to everything and the road felt very safe as it was always buzzy but never too loud. The double glazing on the windows also helped us sleep well as no noise. The room was so much nicer than what I expected - it was huge! I stayed with my mum and it was the perfect sized room for both of us. The staff were so lovely and welcoming and responsive. When my mum arrived by herself first, they were very accommodating. They also let us leave our bags in the reception on the day we were flying out which saved us a lot of hassle!

Unfortunately we couldn’t work the wifi in our room so had no wifi but it wasn’t a deal breaker. The breakfast room was a bit soulless so we ate out most days but it was still nice when we did go. I can’t remember if breakfast is more expensive but if it’s an add on, I wouldn’t recommend doing that.
