Our stay was great. We were only there for one night but it was easy and comfortable. Room was spacious and quiet and very clean when we checked in. They also let us check out an hour later to accommodate our schedule. Would recommend to anyone looking for an easy stay.

hotel was lovely and welcoming, location is great, just across the square from the Carmo Convent and in a good neighborhood for shopping and walking. Breakfast was excellent and staff were helpful and friendly.

On arrival I was gifted the local drink & pastry in my room with a handwritten note which was a lovely touch. and the mineral water was refilled daily free of charge. The room was lovely, with a cute window seat overlooking the street (although no street noise!). Bed was comfortable & duvet cloud like. Aircon worked really well (maybe a little too well at times!). Bathroom was clean with free toiletries. Location couldn't be any better and I loved sitting in the square outside after a long day with a wine and my book before heading to bed.

I really loved the hotel and have very little feedback. My only two minor comments would be: 1) - staff were really friendly but no information was offered on the local area or things to do in Lisbon, not a big deal as I had thoroughly researched, but as a lone traveller it is sometimes a nice touch to give a little local knowledge so the traveller feels at home (being on your own, it can sometimes be intimidating to ask). 2) the bar terrace in the square was often not open when it was advertised that it would be, again not a big deal as I sat in independent kiosks in the square instead, but just an observation.

La ducha de la habitación 204 que tiene demasiado alto donde sale agua y no cierra bien. El WC que es demasiado alto y está pensado para gente alta.

Amazing location and staff ..

Top location in the old town very close to Rossio Plaza. Lots of restaurants and shops just out the door. We had a Family Room which was actually two separate rooms that shared the same door from the hallway. The smaller room had its own bathroom with shower, a single bed with another single mattress arranged on the floor. Highlight here was a cool hidden terrace attached to the room with sliding glass door. The main bedroom was large and had a large bathroom with tub/shower combination. Breakfast was very good with everything anyone could want.

The upholstered chairs in the room were looking a bit warn and the bathtub was a plastic insert - was comfortable and not slippery but felt a bit cheap.

Great location! Hotel is clean and bright. Rooms are beautiful aces really comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had the most amazing night at fado in the restaurant accompanied by amazing food. Each dish was freshly and exquisite with an amazing atmosphere. Breakfast was vast and staff couldn’t help enough. Will definitely return on my next visit.

Breakfast staff and front desk were amazing and supper friendly and helpful. location wise is supper central and the neighborhood is safe and friendly.

Housekeeping could have been better and faster in preparing rooms, AC in rooms is a bit problematic.

The hotel is in an excellent location, with a very friendly bar and restaurant and exceptionally comfortable beds. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood with several pleasant, pedestrian-friendly streets, making it an enjoyable area to explore on foot. The woman at the front desk was courteous, professional, and impressively multilingual. Unfortunately, these positive aspects were overshadowed by an unexpected and potentially serious incident, as well as what I perceived to be an inadequate response from the staff. On my first morning, I took a shower and closed the sliding bathroom door. When I attempted to leave the bathroom, the poorly secured door handle came off (photo attached), trapping me inside. I spent approximately 20–25 minutes trying to force the door open, pounding on the wall and shouting for help in my limited Portuguese. Fortunately, a member of the housekeeping staff eventually realized that something was wrong and opened the door from the other side, allowing me to get out. I thanked her profusely and asked her to enter the bathroom and try the door herself so that she could understand exactly what had happened and see that the problem was not simply guest error. She understood and left the room. I then went to the front desk, explained what had happened, and asked for assistance. A maintenance employee, who was very polite, came to the room and spent at least 20 minutes working on it. It appeared that the spring bolt or roller catch had engaged and become stuck in the closed position. He apologized, which I accepted and appreciated. However, while I had been trying to find a way to escape, I had also noticed that several of the handles, latches, and connecting components appeared to be loosely attached or in poor condition.

I understand that mechanical failures can occasionally happen, even with well-maintained equipment. However, this was not simply a minor inconvenience: a guest had been trapped inside a bathroom and was able to get out only because a member of the housekeeping staff happened to be nearby and realized there was a problem. Had this occurred later in the day, after housekeeping staff had left, any guest could potentially have been trapped there overnight. What was most disappointing was the apparent lack of recognition of the risk this posed when I reported it at the front desk. Having worked in the service industry myself, I would have expected the hotel to give immediate attention to a guest who had just experienced something like this; at a minimum, to offer them a place to sit, a cup of coffee, and reassurance, and to have a manager or assistant manager speak with them personally to understand what had happened and ensure that the issue was addressed in all rooms -- in case this was a design flaw that left other guests vulnerable. Unfortunately, none of this occurred. As a result, I subsequently informed the front desk that I was cancelling the remainder of my reservation and moving to another hotel. In fairness to them, my request was simply accepted and my money refunded without delay. My overall impression of the property began very positively, and under different circumstances I might have had an excellent stay. However, the bathroom door failure was a serious safety issue, and the hotel's nonplussed response afterward was ultimately what led me to leave. The incident itself was unfortunate; the lack of meaningful acknowledgment, risk management or follow-up was even more disappointing.

L'hotel est parfaitement situé en plein centre de Lisbonne, tout est accessible à pied,

par contre, nous étions au premier étage et environnement bruyant. J'ai changé de chambre pour le troisième étage, tjs pareil, les voitures sur les pavés font énormément de bruit.

Inmejorable situación en el barrio del Chiado, en la plaza del Convento del Carmo, rodeado de muchos restaurantes, bares y ambiente. Las instalaciones, aunque pequeñas, perfectas, con mucho detalle y muy bien cuidado. La habitación amplia, tranquila y muy cómoda; muy limpia. El desayuno no muy variado, pero muy bueno.. el personal, encantador.

What a great location! This hotel is in the middle of just about everything you want to see in Lisbon. The bed was super comfortable and we loved the view over rooftops as well as the church bells chiming. We had breakfast at the hotel one morning, because we had an early tour. It was good and had good variety. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Lisbon. Hope to return.

De locatie was TOP voor onze stop-over terug naar huis in Brazilië. Ideaal om in de ochtend een mooie wandeling te maken naar enkele bezienswaardigheden.

Excellent emplacement, accueil chaleureux et personnel disponible et avenant. Notre chambre familiale était spacieuse et la climatisation fonctionnait très bien (journées de canicule). Le ménage était impeccable, l’entretien me semblait rigoureux et fréquent.

Le tapis était taché et sans doute qu’il serait mieux de le changer, on décelait une légère odeur de vieux tapis malgré tous les efforts pour que ça sente bon. La douche sans porte faisait beaucoup d’eau dans la salle de bains, il serait mieux de remettre une porte.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lisboa Carmo Hotel. The location is perfect for exploring Lisbon, the rooms are stylish, and the staff is warm, welcoming, and professional. Unfortunately, we experienced an unexpected issue with the air conditioning during our stay. While this affected our comfort, especially before starting the Fisherman’s Trail, the hotel handled the situation with genuine care. The management responded with a sincere apology, communicated openly, and offered a fair refund. Their professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction left a very positive impression. We truly appreciated the way they resolved the situation and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. We hope to return on a future visit to Lisbon.

Shower: difficult to get temperature and wet bathroom. AC failed and no fix. 35c so roasting in the room.

Complimentary coffee and water, a fridge in the room, a spacious shower cubicle, a comfortable bed with many plushy pillows. Good wifi, a decent selection of TV channels in English. The area is not noisy, so you will sleep well. The area also has a vegan buffet steps away, and if you are not vegan, you will find plenty of Portuguese restaurants literally outside your hotel. The main avenue is close but it's downhilll/uphill, so if it's hot, you will not like it too much. I was upgraded to their loft rooms. whereas they are nice, they offer great views and are very comfortable, there is one problem: the loft has slanted ceilings, so you will not be able to walk straight throughout your room. that may be a problem for some, I tolerated it, but it wasn't ideal.

The only thing I did not like much is the absence of a lobby. It's only a tiny space at reception with 2 armchairs, so if more than 2 people need to wait for a taxi after checking out, for example, they will have nowhere to go. The nice staff will tell you you can go into the restaurant, but it's not the same.

The family room was good, 2 connected rooms with separate bathrooms, and with a lot of space.

One of the bathrooms didn’t have a bidet. The water pressure was not good, the cleaning could have been better.

Location was exceptional. So well located for walking around and restaurants, with a feeling of calm and beauty and only a few mins walk down to the main square. Great location for cabs going around different parts of the city too. WiFi good, bed very comfortable, rooms clean. Only area to flag would be the bathrooms that could do with an update. FOH staff were brilliant and overall highly recommended.

Location is as good as it gets for Lisbon, across from ruined cathedral, near many veggie restaurants, a cute little square with 3 restaurants and outside dining just outside of hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Live and very good music on Wednesday nights.

Breakfast is good (they have their own espresso machine), but I would have more fruit variety and improve on pastries. A small issue would be adding a designated sitting room with couches/comfy chairs once breakfast ends. But these are small issues.

Perfekt läge. Så mysigt med torget Largo do Carmo alldeles utanför hotellet. Glad och trevlig personal. Mycket bra frukost, värd att betala för.

Location is perfect! Just next to the center of the city, meaning guests enjoy a calmer area while still very close to the heart of the city. Metro stations are a 5-7min walk. I got there by motorbike and the staff had space to store the bike in their garage, which was nice. The breakfast is one of the best I've had while traveling!

The hotel has a good location, which made it convenient to explore Lisbon, and there were aspects of the stay that I appreciated, including the general comfort and atmosphere. The staff were nice and generally professional during my stay.

However, there were a few issues that impacted my experience. The coffee maker in the room was not functioning properly, the fridge was not adequately cold, and the air conditioning was not consistently effective. In addition, there was a noticeable smell of smoke in certain areas, which affected comfort during the stay. While I did follow up afterwards and received responses from the hotel, these issues made our personal experience not ideal. I do appreciate that the hotel took the time to review my feedback and engage in follow-up communication. Although we did not agree on every point, I acknowledge their effort to reach a resolution.

Hotel was fine. Bed was comfortable, but rooms and bathrooms need some updating. Clean enough. Key cards kept not working. Balcony was nice. Duvet cover was ripped pretty badly and some of the towels were dirty. Location was great. Exterior of hotel was very cute.

The room (we had top floor with river view) was nice, clean and comfortable. The hotel location was nice as well and we really enjoyed the square outside for grabbing a drink and relaxing.

The breakfast we paid for with our room did not have many vegan options and it would have been nice to have had more plant-based choices.

We had a family suit which was rooms 410 and 411 attached together. They smelled so moldy that we couldn’t breathe when we first got there. We mentioned it to the reception and they said they’ll ask cleaning staff to do a “special cleaning”. Knowing that it was mold I wondered if it was possible to get other rooms. We were told they’d try the next day because they were fully booked that day. Following day they told us they only have that suit on 3 floors and they’re all taken. To our luck the weather was great and we could keep the windows open to ventilate the rooms and that made it way better. On the other hand it’s unacceptable to rent rooms with mold and dirty stained carpet. The kind sweet girl that checked us in was amazing and helpful with limited ability to change anything. Location was amazing. AC wasn’t working in 410. Hotel needs serious renovations and up keep. Something simple as ventilating these rooms could make it so much better until the mold problem is fixed.

The breakfast was amazing and the staff was so helpful and friendly. The room was so spacious for our family and very clean. It was quiet at night even though the streets were full of people and fun parties. I highly recommend staying here with family and teenagers.
