Shortstay - De Pastorie, Gouda

The building and the flat fit very well with the great historical scenery of Gouda city centre. Is earthly magic as the local culture may be. The place is confortable and organised with taste. The staff balances very well the level of presence, absence and availability. Many thanks.

The very modern system ok keys is perhaps unnecessary. But it works well.

Has no outlook as in windows either frosted glass or looking into next door apartment. Small double bed was most uncomfortable.

The apartment is very centrally located and offers everything required for a short stay. The shower was efficient, we found the bed comfortable. The heating was efficient. Checking in and out was straightforward, communication good. We were here to visit relatives, so did not use the cooking facilities. .

The bedroom lighting is not bright, though the light position can be moved. Additional pillows would be beneficial.

Very kind host, very clean house, very good location, only not much chair in the salon but it s ok for two people. Very good restaurant close to house, nice view, nice and safe building. Super location.

Lots of character and close to downtown. Also the kitchen and washer/dryer are a big plus.

Location was good, very central in Gouda and close to everything you need. Host was helpful when it came to check in, as we had a delay at the airport. Apartment was modern and kitchen well equipped for cooking.

The apartment I booked wasn't the one we were given on check in, the host never told us why we were given a smaller apartment instead. It got extremely warm 35 degrees outside and hotter inside, but there was no fan and the windows didn't open very wide - so it was very uncomfortable for a few nights. It would be better staying here in the winter, as there is heating.

The design of the apartment in which we stayed in was artistic and stylish.

Very clean and nice living area. We appreciated having so many amenities there, though instructions in English for the dishwasher and washer would have been helpful!

It was warm at night, with no fan or air conditioning available. Also, though very quiet through the week, there was a lot of noise at night on the weekends (from local drinkers 🫤), which interrupted our sleep quite a bit.

I had to make an impromptu trip to Gouda for work, and was really happy to find this accommodation! The apartment was modern, well-equipped, and super comfortable (as well as peaceful & quiet). The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, the bed was super comfy, and the communication with the hosts was excellent from start to finish. The accommodation is really great value as well- there are few places in the center of Gouda available at this price, especially for the quality you get!I look forward to staying again soon.

The only minor issue I had was that the bathroom floor would get quite full of water when showering, and didn't drain so well. It didn't impact my stay but it would be good to have a squeegee to clean it up with :)

Arriving after a 40 hour flight we were made to feel very welcome and so appreciated the comfort and warmth of the welcome and the apartment. Joop is an excellent host and ensured we had everything we needed. We appreciated the comfort and facilities even more when we became ill in the subsequent days and had to regain our strength and recover in the apartment for a number of days. We were in the ground floor corner apartment and even though we were not feeling great the fact we were could see passers-by and the street activities helped greatly in getting us back on our feet. We could venture out easily for short walks and found shops within a few minutes walk and especially appreciated the excellent Bio-winkel (shop) around the corner where we could buy quality organic supplies. Once we felt strong again we very much enjoyed walking around the lovely streets of Gouda and even the cold weather did not diminish our enjoyment. So many Cafe's and restaurants to choose from and on New Years eve we could watch the wonderful fireworks from the apartment in comfort. The apartment is very comfortable and situated in a beautifully restored parish house. It has all the comforts of home especially the well equiped kitchen and the huge king size wonderful bed. Truly there is no better place to stay in Gouda. You will not be disappointed, do yourself a favour!

Wish we could have stayed longer

I had a great experience staying at the flat in Gouda. It was very comfortable, clean, and conveniently located in the centre of town, near the main square. It is located within a short walk from the train station. Joop and the other staff members were always very friendly and willing to help with anything. I would highly recommend this place for both short and long stays, whether for work or holidays.

The location was perfect for our needs. Check in and check our was simple. The response to our questions were prompt. Thanks so much for an enjoyable stay.

I like that the location is near the main places of interest, e.g. The Stadhuis or Old Town Hall, Sint-Janskerk. There are also several shops to shop for clothes, groceries and souvenirs. The apartment surrounding is quiet and peaceful during the day and night too. The washing machine is excellent as it comes with dryer and have several functions to choose for washing. The 2-in-1 microwave cum oven is also a plus point as you can heat up your food or use the oven to heat the pastries! Most basic kitchenware and equipment are provided as listed. The overall room space for the Deluxe apartment is spacious and it's quite like home away from home. Person-in-charge is very sweet, helpful and responded promptly to messages. Thank you, Danielle, for making my stay memorable.

Too far from Gouda train station (12 - 14 mins walk). No floor towel/rug to dry feet after shower. No shower curtain to divide the shower area and toilet, so after shower, water was all over the place and the floor was wet and cold. Only one toilet paper roll for 6 nights' stay (I bought my own). There are no supply of complementary coffee capsules, tea and sugar although there is a Nespresso coffee machine. Also, there is no dish washing liquid/capsules/powder provided. No lift/elevator in the building and the stair steps are very narrow (almost fell). No indoor/room slippers provided. No hooks and/or bars for hanging clothes and towel in the bathroom.

Appartment is a newly renovated an old building of parsonage. It combines both history and modern decor. Room was planed great for a short stay. All needed utensils and equipment was available in this property. View from the window of one room was to inner yard and from the living room area to the stree. Building is located near the city center. In a few min walk located all stores, supermarkets and restaurants. Neighbourhood is friendly and quiet. It is a great place to stay for relaxing holiday. As well it is easy to reach Roterdam by public transport (~20 min) or bike (~1hour).
