Wir sind begeistert von der Herzlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft der Familie. Man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Die Villa ist wunderschön, sauber und liegt ca. 5 Gehminuten vom Kabalana Beach entfernt. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker.

Leider konnten wir nur eine Nacht bleiben, ansonsten wären wir gerne noch länger geblieben!

Wir hatten hier in Coco Bliss einen so tollen Aufenthalt. Das Personal ist so hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Frühstück war super lecker und die Lage ist auch perfekt. Vielen Dank für den Aufenthalt. Wir würden immer wieder kommen !

I had a wonderful stay at this guest house. The location is great — very close to the sea, in a peaceful area away from the crowds, with lots of nice surfing schools nearby. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The hosts were absolutely lovely and very helpful throughout my stay. They organized a boat tour for me and the other guests at a very good price, and they also drove me to Colombo for a very reasonable price, which was incredibly convenient. They were so kind and welcoming, and they even gave me some cinnamon and a lovely handmade gift, which was such a thoughtful and sweet gesture. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone visiting the area! ❤️

Coco Bliss iki gece konakladık ve çok memnun kaldık. Konumu oldukça güzeldi. Otellerin bulunduğu bölgede yer alıyor ve butiklerin, restoranların olduğu canlı bölgeye yaklaşık 10-15 dakikalık yürüme mesafesinde. Ev sahipleri çok ilgili ve misafirperverdi. Yatak oldukça rahattı, banyo kullanışlıydı ve klima sorunsuz çalışıyordu. Ayrıca iki adet sabun bırakmaları da hoş bir ayrıntıydı. Kahvaltı yapmak istemediğimizi söylememize rağmen; sabahları meyve yemeyi tercih ettiğimizi öğrenince bize ananas ve karpuz ikram etmeleri çok ince bir davranıştı. Bizi güler yüzle karşıladılar, ayrılırken de çok nazik bir şekilde uğurladılar. Çıkış yaparken bize el yapımı hasır bir cüzdan hediye etmeleri ise gerçekten çok hoş ve unutulmaz bir jestti. Ayrıca gezilecek yerler hakkında önerilerde bulunup bize bir rehber kitap vermeleri sayesinde çevreyi daha rahat keşfedebildik. Misafirperverlikleri ve ince düşünceleri için çok teşekkür ederiz. Ahangama gelecek herkese gönül rahatlığıyla tavsiye ederiz.

Dilan was a phenomenal host. He helped us where ever he could, organizing transport and answering our questions.

AC was loud sometimes. Off-season just started and many restaurants and other places were closed, however that is of course not the fault if the accomodation.

Wir hatten eine richtig schöne Zeit in dieser Unterkunft in Sri Lanka! Die Hosts sind unglaublich herzlich und gastfreundlich – man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und fast wie Teil der Familie. Für uns zwei Mädels, die hauptsächlich zum Surfen hier waren, war die Lage perfekt und die Atmosphäre total entspannt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist wirklich top – für das, was man bekommt, absolut fair. Besonders toll fanden wir auch den Kochkurs bei unserer Host – eine super Erfahrung, die wir definitiv weiterempfehlen können! Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen 😊

Ein kleiner Punkt: Das Badezimmer ist eher einfach ausgestattet und es fehlt an Aufhängemöglichkeiten/ Ablagemöglichkeiten für Gewand im Schlafzimmer. Aber das hat unseren Aufenthalt insgesamt kaum beeinträchtigt, da alles andere wirklich gestimmt hat.

Ich fühlte mich von Anfang an wie zu Hause die Liebe Familie hatte mich Herzlich willkommen geheissen. Es war ein sehr Persönliche Aufenthalt, sie hatten uns Gäste einen Nachtessen aufgetischt und ich durfte mit Nilani Kochen. Einmal sind wir alle zusammen an den Markt gefahren und hatten Fisch, Shrimps eingekauft für und Nilani die Mama hatte es zubereitet. Wir durften sogar mit Ihnen Sri Lankanischen Neujahr feiern und es gab Süsse Spezialitäten.

Für mich war alles in Ordnung gewesen, mann hört den Zug Tagsüber und Abend und die Autos an der Strasse aber mit Ohrstöpsel könnt ihr ruhig schlafen!

Es war so ein herzlicher Aufenthalt! Mein Freund hatte sich am Fuß verletzt und die Familie ha sich direkt gekümmert. Bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in Sri Lanka kommen wir wieder! 😊

Es hat bereits am Flughafen begonnen. Ich wurde super warm empfangen und sogar noch Abends um 11Uhr vom Flughafen in Colombo abgeholt. Kann mir keine besseren Gastgeber vorstellen, so herzlich, gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Man wird wie ein Familienmitglied behandelt. Die Zimmer sind ebenfalls süss und ausreichend. Jeden Morgen wird ein Frühstück zubereitet und es wird immer auf die eigenen Wünsche eingegangen. Der Strand sowie diverse Restaurants und Bars sind in Gehdistanz zu erreichen. Wer möchte kann sich in der Unterkunft auch ein Motorbike mieten. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt sogar verlängert, da ich mich hier sehr wohl fühlte. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Everything, but above all I enjoyed how welcoming the family was. They really did their best to make me feel at home, which succeeded. After my one night booking through this platform, I extended my stay with 6 more days. I think that pretty much sums up how I liked the stay. The breakfast was of high quality and full of love. Same goes for the care and the extra facilities they provided. They even gave tours and drove me around. When I come back to Sri Lanka, Ill make sure to include this property in my itenerary.

We spent six days at Coco Bliss, rented 2 rooms. The rooms were clean and perfect for our needs. Location is also great - Few mins from the Beach. But what made our stay unforgettable is the attitude of the owners towards guests. Never experienced anywhere hospitality like this before. Thank you again and just keep doing what you are doing!!

The stay with Dilan and his family was a beautiful ending to my trip. Their accommodation is very simply furnished, and the bathroom was really quite basic, but the rest of the place was truly lovely. I had my room on the upper floor, with a shared living area and kitchen, as well as a terrace with a hammock. Breakfast was lovingly prepared every morning in Sri Lankan style – and Dilan even made me the best omelette every morning just for me. I felt like I was staying with a host family. Dilan and his wife anticipated my every need and always made sure that I was comfortable and safe. We even celebrated his wife’s birthday together over a piece of cake. They also made sure I got to the airport safely and checked in afterwards to see if I had arrived safely back in Germany.

The hospitality was amazing. Dilan and Nilani were super welcoming and do their best to make your stay delightful. The breakfast experience with other people was a good opportunity to meet and chat with people. I had initially booked a stay only for one day here and later when I wanted to extend they were booked out, something I regretted for the rest of my stay. Even when I had checked out, Dilan was helpful and welcoming in inviting me to watch a cricket match with all the other guests which he didn't have to but he is a great guy for doing so. I'll definitely be back for more.

Coco Bliss is a truly special guest house that ticks all of my boxes. Dilan and Nilani along with their children, Janindu and Sethumi are some of the kindest and most generous people I have met in my travels. Shared breakfasts mean you meet other travellers and you also get to try some amazing local food each morning that the family cooks. They deserve every single one of their amazing reviews. I will be back for sure :)

I have stayed in many homestays but this is a place that is truly special and really feels like home. Dilan and Nilani are the most generous and genuine hosts you could ask for. I was here Solo but left as part of their family. I was treated like a son to them, and as a brother to their lovely children Janindu and Sethumi. Nothing is to much and the family go above and beyond to welcome you into their life. Whether that is organising a birthday party for a guest, taking you to the doctor, a family dinner. Nothing is too much and is generously provided. The accommodation itself is set back from the road and has outdoor areas to relax. I also worked remotely a few days here and the internet is good for video calls and has room inside or out to be used as a desk. My room had a large bed, AC, overhead fan, mosquito net, and a more private balcony with 2 chairs and a drying rack. I had the pleasure of extending my stay here to 9 nights and I’ll never forget this experience with my lovely family. Coco Bliss is social in all the best ways, breakfast and dinner together with the other guests, helping out with dinner, getting to know them and their family. I will be coming back and miss them already!! Thanks so much for a lovely time and I will see you soon!!

The location was right across from the beach, it was just far enough off the road to be quiet in the evening.

From the moment we walked in the door, we felt right at home at Coco Bliss. Dilan, Lilani and their family went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. From the home cooked breakfasts and dinners to local recommendations and helping with taxis, they truly put their hearts into looking after us. They even threw a surprise birthday party for my partner which was so sweet and thoughtful. The villa is in a great location, away from the hustle and bustle of Ahangama but within 4 mins by tuk tuk. There are great yoga spots, pickleball courts and the beach right on the doorstep. Highly recommend Coco Bliss as a great place to stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Coco Bliss. What makes it extra special, is the family that is at the heart of everything. From the delicious breakfasts and home cooked evening meals, to the support with days out and taxi rides to and from the guesthouse...nothing was too much trouble. The location is perfect. The centre of Ahangama is easily accessible, but you have the benefit of staying somewhere quieter next to Kabalana, the best beach in town. Finally, the price is unbeatable. Coco Bliss was the perfect end to our stay in an amazing country.

Super emplacement, très proche de la plage et des restaurants. Coco bliss village est une très jolie maison avec une cours qui permets de manger a l'extérieur. La chambre est spacieuse avec un très grand lit confortable avec moustiquaire, un adaptateur sur les prises et une salle de bain privative. Le petit déjeuner, avec des spécialites Sri lanaises notamment, est copieux et délicieux. Au delas d'une réservation de chambre, j'ai surtout eu la chance de faire la connaissance d'une très belle famille. Ils m'ont proposé des visites auxquelles je n'aurais pas pensé, m'ont amené à mes excursions et ont organisé mon transfert depuis l'aéroport et vers ma prochaine destination. Je n'aurai jamais pensé être aussi chaleureusement accueilli. Merci pour tout

Потрясающее место и чудесные люди! Одно из лучших мест за нашу 3х недельную поездку по острову! От сёрферского пляжа Кабалана до виллы минут 5 прогулочным шагом. Сама вилла очень стильная, полюбилась нам терраса на втором этаже с гамаком. Забота владельцев - это просто 💔 Полное ощущение, что вы приехали в гости к близким людям. У моего мужа был день рождения во время нашего пребывания здесь. Меня поругали, что я не предупредила об этом заранее 😅 и вечером устроили ему вечеринку сюрприз! Отмечали интернациональной компанией всеми жителями виллы, ужинали за большим столом на первом этаже, закусывали белорусский самогон(наш родненький 😂) ланкийским карри и все вместе пели песни в караоке. Самый незабываемый праздник, большое вам спасибо 🫶 Очень хотим вернуться 🥹

Для нас это не было минусом, но может кому-то важно. Рядом проходит железная дорога, иногда может быть шумно, но ночью вроде не было поездов, только в дневное время.

We had a wonderful stay at the Coco Bliss. The family is very caring and friendly and immediately makes you feel at home. Spent there almost a week, celebrating the hosts son’s and my own birthday 🙌🏼🎉 They even arranged a surprise for us. Service and information (where to visit) were top notch. Showed us how to cook, gave us insights, arranged transports and scooter. They even arranged us a transport very early in the morning (2am) due to my delayed flight. Can highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a comfy and familiar environment in a super location.

Staff were wonderful and hotel set back from the main road so quiet. Brilliant breakfast. Also, hosts helped arrange a car to our next stop and also back to the airport.

We had such a wonderful stay here! The location is perfect – just a short walk to the beach and not far from Ahangama town and its cafés. The rooms are small but very cozy, with plenty of space to yourself, including a fridge, a terrace, and everything you need to feel comfortable. What truly made this place special were the hosts. They took such warm and thoughtful care of us that we immediately felt at home. The food was absolutely outstanding – both breakfast and dinner were the best we’ve ever had while traveling, freshly cooked and so delicious. We would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone. Lilani and her husband were great hosts, we felt very comfortable. The room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable and the breakfast was amazing.

The family was incredibly kind, welcoming, and generous—they treated us like part of their own family from day one. Every single morning, we got a delicious breakfast that they prepared with so much love and care. The food was fresh and varied. The homestay itself was clean, comfortable, and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy. But what made our experience truly special was the warmth and hospitality of the family. My favourite stay during my trip to Sri Lanka! I extended my stay at Coco Bliss and still wish I could have been there longer. The family was the most welcoming I’ve ever experienced and it was always a great time hanging out with them. Expect an exceptional home cooked breakfast, amazing hospitality, as well as a clean and comfortable room. The location is right across from Kabalana beach which is perfect for beginner surfers to hire a board and get in some practice, but also for advanced surfers to ride some incredible waves. Also a great beach for spectators! The guesthouse is away from the busy streets of Ahangama but it’s just a short tuk tuk ride when you want to head into town. Behind the guesthouse is the train line where you can watch the train pass and meet the neighbours who might even cut open a fresh coconut for you if you’re lucky. You’ll also be well located for day trips to popular spots like Unawatuna, turtle beach, Galle, Welligama, Mirissa etc. and can travel to these spots using local buses, tuk tuks or the train. Highly highly highly recommend Coco Bliss for your stay on Sri Lanka’s south coast! I can’t wait to go back :)

This is our first time in Sri Lanka and we are from Japan. We came from Japan because a friend of ours was getting married in Ahangama, Sri Lanka and we were going to attend the wedding. We were looking for a place to stay and this place had great reviews and we believed them and booked it. We arrived at 1am and were greeted with smiles. We arrived at 1am and were greeted with smiles and breakfast was perfect. The inn is family owned and operated. They are a family of six: a couple, a son, a daughter, And two cute dogs! We had a wonderful time. It was relaxing. They had a nice smile on their faces. This place seems to be famous for surfing. Next time I want to come here to try surfing. Lovely family running the guesthouse, delicious large breakfast, you can also ask for dinner, which is excellent. All home made local food. Hosts will assist you with everything you need, give good recommendations and tips, caring well for your safety and comfort. On the top you can always chat with them, so it feels more like staying at your aunt and uncle then in guesthouse. Also location is perfect, Kabalana beach is over the street and very beautiful, and to Ahangama it's easily walkable.

I was happy with everything, only the bathroom wall would need some new paint (but with the humid weather it is hard to keep in top state).

Located just a few steps from the Kabalana beach in Ahangama, this guesthouse sits at the end of the village, offering a relatively peaceful atmosphere. In the evenings, you can hardly hear any traffic from the main road. The rooms are clean and bright—ours had a balcony. The shared kitchen is well-equipped with everything you might need, and there are also common chill-out areas that provide a nice break from the heat. Had the best breakfast during my time in Sri Lanka, so delicious. The room was very nice, with AC and bed comfortable bed. Had the best sleep during my travels there. Excellent value for money! The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast is delicious, and all rooms are equipped with air conditioning and mosquito nets, which was especially important to us. I don't understand the amazing reviews. Don't get me wrong, it's fine but it's nowhere near a 9.5. I would generally not book again. - the owners are friendly but we felt nowhere near "like home" like most reviews suggest. Same small talk as everywhere else in Sri Lanka ("where are you from", "how long in Sri Lanka", etc.) - breakfast very basic and worst in Sri Lanka in 2,5 weeks (again, it's fine, but not like the reviews suggest) - rooms are small. Like a meter around the bed so you can open a backpack/suitcase - bathroom very basic and either cold or (too) hot water

Slightly intruding host.

Dilan and his family are the most charming and kind hosts you could hope for. They really made it a memorable few days in Ahangama. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast is good and on one day we also had a home cooked lunch which was the best curry we had during our time in Sri Lanka. Our flight back home left very late and Janadu drove us to the airport, despite it meaning he wouldn't get home until 2am. The villa is just across the road from the beach where there is an excellent A frame reef break, a beach break, and plenty of board hire options.

Dilan and his wife treated my son and his friends like they were their own children. I felt they were in very caring hands. Their connection made the whole trip very special!

The room was spotless, the AC worked perfectly, and I loved the little touches—like chilled glasses in the fridge, ready for a cold beer after a long day. But the real highlight? The food. Every single dish was homemade, bursting with authentic Sri Lankan flavors, and made with so much care. You won’t find anything more genuine than this. Beyond that, the kindness of the family running this place was something special. If there was anything I needed, they went out of their way to help—no hesitation, no fuss, just pure generosity. Max 5 min walk to Kabbalana beach, it’s located on the main road. Extremely friendly hosts, Dilan and Thileni felt as our Sri Lankan mum and dad, helping wherever they could: flexible breakfast times, scooter rental, taxi services and great tasty home cooked food! Thanks for a lovely stay.

A larger cabinet or clothes rack in the room would’ve been ideal to store some items since we stayed for a couple of nights.

Coco Bliss is blissfull. Dilan and his family are great hosts, friendly, welcoming and helpful. They helped us figure out which bus to get along to Galle. The room (and the whole place) is spotlessly clean. The bed is comfy, the shower hot, and the breakfast delicious. We are already thinking about coming back.

This stay was perfect! We booked 4 nights initially and ended up staying for 2 more. The family is amazing! So friendly and welcoming, we felt right at home. They make amazing and also very varied breakfast and if you stay there please ask for some rice and curry. It tastes amazing and you won't find better food than here anywhere around. The family also arranged some surfing lessons, gave information about other activities to us and looked out for us. It is the best stay we had in SriLanka and we are sad we have to leave now. We are already thinking of coming back :) The rooms are clean and welcoming. The dog Tiny and the turtle make this stay even better.

We have found it at the end of our trip if not we will stay here for weeks. Family is incredibly helpful, and they are going to make you life easier. Also, ask them to have lunch or dinner with them as it's delicious (they don't promote it enough, other guest told us about it :) Location is second line from the beach and it also has restaurants around the area (5 minutes by walk). Rooms are big enough with AC, and there are common areas in the building. As other guests, I see this place ideal to stay long journeys. Also if you practice surfing there are nice spots around the area

A wardrobe would be helpful and for an hour we did not have water but the owner took care very quickly so no major issues. Just keep a good communication with the family to enjoy better your time in Sri Lanka

The most amazing homestay in Sri Lanka! The rooms have everything you need to make your stay comfortable. However, the hosts are what will make your time memorable. They will do anything for you and are the sweetest people to be around. Would 100% recommend.

Coco Bliss is in a fantastic location right in Ahangama, with the best surf spots right in front of the house. The owner is super nice and takes care of everything you need from scooter rental to transport or tips for the region. It was a great experience and i can recommend the place if you looking for a nice place to stay!
