Astig Villa - Negombo

Heerlijke rustige plek en heel vriendelijke host die goed ontbijt en lunch voor ons heeft geregeld.

Locatie mooi gelegen maar nog wel 20 minuten rijden naar Negombo. Zee is niet geschikt om te zwemmen en vol met plactic

Endroit idéal pour se retaper une journée avant de démarrer un séjour ou le terminer.. L établissement, une grande maison qui compte une chambre au rez-de-chaussée (que nous occupions) et trois à l étage (dont une familiale) est situé au fond d une impasse. L arrière donne sur un grand jardin (avec une belle piscine) et la lagune. Secteur calme. La proximité de l aéroport n a pas été un problème. Notre chambre donnait sur un côté de la maison, sur le jardin. Spacieuse et confortable. Bonne literie. Très bon accueil d Amile sur place, esprit guest house. Il nous a organisé un bel après midi pour découvrir Negombo et sa lagune. Nous avons dîné sur place. Bon rapport qualité prix.

Really lovely way to start our Sri Lanka trip , the property is situated just a little way out of Negombo town, but easy access via tuk tuk or car. We preferred being just a little bit out of town as it was very peaceful , almost like an oasis . Amilla and Rasica were great hosts and couldn't do enough to make our stay more comfortable. They gladly prepared some home cooked meals that were absolutely fantastic (better than in some of the restaurants !)

Tout! Les chambres, le personnel adorable, et l’immense piscine et le fait que nous étions seuls. Jolie vue sur la lagune. Tout était hyper confortable.

Fantastische host en rustige omgeving!

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und das Personal stets bemüht uns einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker!

Allerdings ist die Lage nicht optimal, die Unterkunft ist sehr abgelegen und man kriegt den Fliegerlärm total ab. Die Insektengitter und Türen waren überall undicht weshalb wir viele Insekten und Geckos im Zimmer hatten. Dafür fanden wir den Preis zu hoch angesetzt.

Bardzo zadbany i gustownie urzadzony obiekt. Swietne sniadanko, piekny ogrod i basen. Spedzilismy tam bardzo mile chwile.

The friendliness of the staff & the cooking of the main guy, which was excellent

Being woken at 2 a.m. by what I think was a returning young member of staff talking -well in my book shouting- right outside my room. I also had to wear earplugs, as there is a VERY noisy malfunctioning electric pump outside the room ( Room 1 )

La piscine est très agréable, le cadre est reposant et très sympa. Le petit déjeuner était copieux et très bon. Le personnel était très sympathique et serviable

La chambre ne correspondait pas totalement à nos attentes pour une catégorie “Deluxe”. Certains équipements étaient manquants ou ne fonctionnaient pas (absence de télécommande pour la télévision, lampe de chevet défectueuse) et le bruit d’un générateur situé à proximité a impacté notre confort. Nous tenons toutefois à préciser que l’hôte a été réactif et a fait un geste commercial suite à notre retour.

A short drive from the airport in a very quiet location in Negombo. We were the only guests staying for 4 nights and the 2 members of staff looked after us very well. They cooked breakfast (there is a real mix of Sri Lanka curry, not for us really for breakfast, but plenty fruit and eggs.) They will prepare lunch and evening meals for a small cost too but if u want more choice you will need to hire a tuk tuk to take you 20mins to the town. We did eat at a locals house called Crab Cove and they made us delicious chicken curry fried prawns for £10. If it’s a quiet get away from it all this is the place. If u want a wide choice Central Negombo is for you.

I arrived at Astig Villa after what turned into a long journey from Arugam Bay – a ride that should have taken 4.5 hours stretched to 9.5, and by the time I arrived it was already night. The staff welcomed me so warmly and even prepared dinner for me, which was such a relief after a difficult day of travel. I had been travelling around Sri Lanka for two weeks, and staying here was exactly what I needed – a chance to relax by the beautiful pool and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The staff looked after me so well, cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the owner was always available if I needed anything. He even organised a tuk tuk to take me into town, which was especially helpful in an area I wasn’t yet familiar with. What makes Astig Villa so special is the personal touch – it feels more like staying with friends than at a hotel. I’d especially recommend it to anyone flying into Sri Lanka late at night, as it’s very close to the airport, and the nearby lagoon is a beautiful spot to watch the fishermen go by. Whether you’re starting or ending your Sri Lankan journey, this is the perfect place to stay.

Pulizia e gentilezza del personale. La colazione è stata una bellissima sorpresa, tra le migliori di tutta la vacanza.

La posizione è un po’ isolata rispetto al centro di Negombo, sceglietela se preferite la tranquillità. Non aver potuto pagare con la carta.

A good startingpoint of a trip through Sri Lanka. Nice pool, clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, and good service . Deliciously, fresh pepared food. The men are great cooks!
