It was a bit of a hike from the main road, and the parking situation was a little complicated.

Una struttura pensata appositamente per la città, tranquilla, pulita, con camere sufficientemente spaziose (le stanze sono esattamente come nelle foto) personale molto cordiale e una vista meravigliosa.

The view is beautiful, but unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our experience.

The food was poor and extremely overpriced. They insisted that we pay the tourist tax in cash, but we had run out of euros and only had U.S. dollars, and they would not accept a card. They also provided no clear information or alternatives for parking and tried to pressure us into paying for valet parking.

Difficile da raggiungere in auto poiché si trova in un punto abbastanza alto di Taormina e la strada è piena di tornanti.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Der Ausblick von der Dachterrasse ist außergewöhnlich und es lohnt sich, dort Abends noch etwas zu verweilen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und wir hatten kein Problem, an der Straße über dem Hotel noch einen Parkplatz zu finden.

Als wir den „Flexible Room“ gebucht haben, dachten wir, dass es nicht klar ist welcher Raum beim Check In zur Verfügung stehen würde. Das wir den Raum während unseres Aufenthalts ändern müssen, hatten wir bei unseren Reisen bisher noch nie. Ist bei Booking ausgewiesen, könnte aber präsenter sein.

Struttura in una bella posizione, anche se distante a piedi dal centro e dal mare. Conviene spostarsi in auto o con i mezzi come consigliato da loro all’arrivo. Disponibilità di parcheggio in struttura a pagamento. La struttura non è nuovissima seppur tenuta bene. Il parcheggio privato ha degli orari entro i quali rientrare in struttura. La sera siamo rientrati troppo tardi per cui non ci è stato possibile parcheggiare all’interno. Abbiamo trovato un posto in strada e la quota ci è stata detratta.

Problema con il condizionatore che ha gocciolato tutta la notte causando disagio. Prezzo per la colazione a persona a mio avviso eccessivo. Rapporto qualità prezzo a mio avviso alto

À 15/20’ du centre, compliqué de le faire en toute sérénités la nuit mais faisable et pas trop dur malgré les les montés. Pas de luminosité dans les chambres et parfois odeur d’humidité.

The breakfast was amazing. Just amazing. Best variety we've ever had for a hotel breakfast. Sweet and savory Italian foods. So authentic and tasty and lovely. The hosts were very accommodating - nice people. The view out the hotel room window was second to none: looking down the cliffs to the Ionian Sea to the left and Mt. Etna to the right... just surreal. And the towns of Taormina (below) and Castelmola (above) were beautiful. The views from Castelmola were breathtaking.

The air conditioning leaked water in the room. But it was a very, very hot week, and I imagine it was stressing the AC and the electrical grid. The bathroom was a little dated.

Beautiful views, but several drawbacks Villa Greta has some lovely highlights, particularly the stunning views of Mount Etna and the bay. The complimentary Prosecco was a nice touch, and the lasagne was a definite positive. However, there were also quite a few negatives. There are lots of stairs, which may be difficult for some guests, and our air conditioning was not working well, making the room uncomfortable at times. The rooms are quite small, and it is around a 20-minute drive to the beach. The beach club access was another disappointment. At €45, it felt very expensive, and we did not find the beach club particularly classy or worth the price. Unfortunately, some of the staff also came across as rude and unwelcoming, which affected our overall experience. One of the biggest disappointments was how our situation was handled when Mount Etna erupted and flights were cancelled. We had to leave one night earlier than planned because of the flight disruption. We felt the response from the property was quite dismissive of the situation, and despite the exceptional circumstances, no refund or compensation was offered for the unused night. We would have expected more understanding and flexibility given that the disruption was completely outside our control. For the price we paid, we expected a much higher level of hospitality and service. Unfortunately, the overall lack of warmth and understanding from the staff made the high price feel difficult to justify. Overall, the views and a few nice touches were enjoyable, but the comfort, location, expensive beach club, staff attitude, high price and lack of understanding when our travel plans were disrupted meant that the experience did not live up to expectations.

The room was advertised as a terrace and pictures of a daybed and sun beds. In reality it was a small table with two chairs with a ‘shared’ terrace. No privacy and completely different to the photos.

This has got to be one of the best places in Taormina! Amazing staff amazing room with a view, amazing hospitality 11/10! Thank you for incredible days in Sicily!

Hotel molto ben curato, stanza restrutturata da poco con bagno molto grande. Personalmente apprezzata come struttura formata da tante stanze locate in zone staccate tra loro che permettono di godere di una splendida vista (sia sul mare che sull etna)da ogni finestra o terrazzo. Staff eccellente come accoglienza, preparazione su qualsiasi dubbio avessi o informazione chiedessi. Ci hanno offerto un’ampia quantità di esperienze da poter fare (curate e organizzate in ogni dettaglio da loro). Servizio anche per raggiungere i vari lidi con cui sono convenzionati. Colazione FORNITISSIMA che cerchiate dolce o salato. Mi sono trovato molto bene e lo consiglierei assolutamente.

Although the location is not the most convenient, this is common for the region. The hotel itself is cozy, clean, and comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the Italian cuisine is outstanding. The view from the balcony overlooking the volcano, the beach, and the city is simply breathtaking. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, and the staff are always happy to help with transfers and any requests. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation

Beds are too soft. TV is outdated. If you are bringing Fire TV stick or any other streaming USB, prepare to have a thinner HDMI adapter, otherwise no luck of plugging it in.

Ons verblijf bij Villa Greta was de perfecte start van onze 7-daagse rondreis door Sicilië. We verbleven hier twee nachten in juni met onze drie kinderen, en vanaf het eerste moment voelden we ons ontzettend welkom. De warme en hartelijke ontvangst zorgde ervoor dat we ons direct thuis voelden. De gastvrijheid van de eigenaren maakte echt het verschil en gaf ons verblijf een heel persoonlijk gevoel. Het uitzicht is werkelijk adembenemend: uitkijken over de zee en de prachtige stad Taormina is iets wat we niet snel zullen vergeten. Elke ochtend begonnen we de dag met een uitgebreid en gevarieerd ontbijt, waarbij werkelijk aan alles was gedacht. Vers, heerlijk en de ideale start van een dag vol ontdekkingen. We kijken met veel plezier terug op ons verblijf en zouden zonder twijfel opnieuw voor Villa Greta kiezen. Een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die Taormina bezoekt!

Villa Greta offers breathtaking panoramic views over Taormina and the sea, which is undoubtedly its biggest advantage. The breakfast was above average, and the restaurant served very good food-we especially enjoyed the burrata, lasagna, and tuna spaghetti.

However, there are several downsides to consider. The hotel is quite far from the beach, and getting there every day becomes tiring. You either have to walk a lot or use the cable car, which often has very long queues, especially in the afternoon when returning from the beach. Taxis are available but quite expensive. Housekeeping could also be improved. Although we were told that towels would be changed daily, ours were only replaced after three days and only after we specifically requested it. The staff were generally polite and tried to be helpful, but at times we felt slightly uncomfortable. On our last day, after checking out, we had to wait several hours for our transfer to Catania Airport. We asked if we could stay in the restaurant area and order coffee and lunch at our own expense, which they agreed to. However, we were repeatedly asked when we would be leaving, giving us the impression that they wanted us to vacate the space as soon as possible. It wasn’t rude, but it didn’t feel particularly welcoming either.

It was good but not great.. AC in our room was not fix during our stay.

L'accueil à 21h a été catastrophique. Nous avions prévenu de notre horaire d'arrivée et n'avons pas reçu de consigne pour garer notre voiture....nous avons tourné une heure car le parking de l'hôtel était plein et la personne de l'accueil ne nous a pas du tout aidé pour trouver une solution bien au contraire, elle nous a accablé de reproche. La chambre était petite, la salle de bain vieillotte et minuscule, bref nous avons fui dès le lever du jour.

Unser Zimer war wunderschön mit einer wunderbaren Aussicht! Das Bett war sehr bequem und wir konnten uns richtig erholen. Leider sind wir nur eine Nacht geblieben, was wir das nächste Mal sicher nicht mehr machen werden. Ein wirklich traumhaftes Hotel!

The staff, specifically, Christina and Martina, were exceptional. We were admittedly difficult guests, because our schedule was very chaotic. We booked last minute (day of) and checked in very late. They not only accommodated all of our requests, but did so with grace and enthusiasm. I can't say enough about their service. The room was phenomenal - clean, updated, and featured modern fixtures, etc. In fact, our stay was so good that we booked another room for another night a week after our initial stay. Additionally, we are very familiar with Taormina and have stayed all over the story-book village. We have stayed in Taormina ~10 different times, my wife and I were even married there. I can't say enough about Villa Greta Hotel - no better bang for your buck in Taormina. We will look forward to booking again next year!

Some of the common areas could be slightly upgraded, but nothing to dissuade or complain about.

Where do I even start with this hotel? My partner and I have just stayed for 3 nights and we had the best time. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed but the best thing was the view. Waking up to Mount Etna and overlooking the sea was just incredible. The staff were so nice, they couldn’t do enough for us. We were able to leave our suitcase there before check in whilst we headed out. The hotel has 3 beach clubs that they work with and are in Mazzeo, Mazzarò and Giardini Naxos, which all do return shuttle and sun loungers/umbrella. We did Mazzeo which was €18 each and was a quiet beach bar and did the Giardini Naxos that was €40 each with towels and a prosecco each. Although, the Giardini Naxos beach bar seems expensive but it is €30 one way from the train station to the hotel, the roads are not straight and all uphill. Where the hotel is located it is 15 minutes from Taormina centre by walking and on the way up it is steep with some stairs. You can get interbus, red tourist bus and the green line bus that will all stop near or outside the hotel. We recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here during our honeymoon, and it was the perfect choice. The hotel is very peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing, making our stay truly special. Everything about Villa Greta was wonderful, starting with the breakfast and the continuous support throughout the day. The staff were always available to help with guidance, recommendations, or anything else we needed during our stay. The view is absolutely stunning at every moment of the day, and the rooms are very clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Most importantly, we would like to give a very special thank you to Martina, Cristina, and Marianna. They are some of the kindest people we have ever met, and they truly made our trip unforgettable. Their warmth, care, and attention transformed our honeymoon into a very special experience. The hotel also offered several complimentary gestures for our honeymoon, which we greatly appreciated. Their generosity, kindness, and thoughtfulness were truly incredible and went far beyond our expectations. We highly recommend Villa Greta and would gladly return in the future.

Hôtel excentré par rapport au centre ville. Frigo dans la chambre non fonctionnel. De plus, sac poubelle à jeter laissé dans la chambre le matin et non enlevé pendant le ménage. J'ai retrouvé le sac poubelle éventré dans la salle de bain. Obligé de le mettre dehors pour qu'il soit retiré.

L accueil j ai demandé un parking, c était ok une fois sur les lieux la dame me dit qu il n y a plus de place dans le parking de l hôtel . Mais c était faux il y avait place pour 4 voitures et 2 était seulement stationné. Du coup 25 € par jour X2 sur un parking extérieur un jeune garçon vient chercher et ramène la voiture. Je pense que c est du raquet a la sicilienne. Pour arriver au centre 250 marches. Ce n' est pas précisé 😫

Heerlijk ontbijt. Met een mooi uitzicht over de stad en de vulkaan. En op loopafstand van het centrum van Taormina. De Romeinse Arena uit 300 voor Christus is zeker een bezoek waard.

De weg er naar toe is steil. Dus goed opletten als je naar het hotel rijd.

Niente! Tutto perfetto!

Einrichtung war abgewohnt. Man hat das Gefühl wenn etwas kaputt ist dann bleibt es auch so. Das Hotel besteht nur aus Stufen, die Lage etwas oberhalb des Zentrums, wieder viele Stufen zugehen. Personal ist nicht sehr auskunftsfreudig. Frühstück mittelmäßig,Butter warm, dafür die Eierspeise kalt.

Mits inspanning via de trappen naar beneden als je goed te been bent.

Las vistas desde el hotel son muy lindas. La habitación es correcta y el personal amable.

Queda un poco lejos y es todo subida desde el centro. No es muy cómodo para ir con auto. Tienen un parking con solo 2 lugares y un servicio de valet parking que fue el que utilice. Si bien el servicio funciona muy bien no es lo más cómodo.

Mieux vaut être alertes (escalier) sur 2, 3 niveaux. Difficile de se rendre à pied dans le centre.. il y a des bus et en ville, il y a des personnes qui proposent service taxi. Si voiture .. difficile de se garer.. il faut prévoir la prise en charge de votre véhicule .. service voiturier propose sinon galère... la vue compense ces désagréments

Nice view, good location for everyone who enjoys to supervise the city from the top. Nice, friendly, helpful staff. The room, bathroom was perfect. Great and really affordable wine selection!

For Italy, coffee was disappointing. They had a good machine but didn’t know how to use it (no grinder, taking old pre grinned coffee and the brew ratio is far off), they did just use the Automat. Bed springs were a little too hard (subjective). The food was I little oily, however the quality of oil was good. Some food positions on the breakfast should be either removed from the menu (old dry cakes) or be cooked better ( scrambled eggs, potato gratin, caponata).

Martina hat uns super freundlich empfangen und war sehr hilfsbereit bei allen Fragen. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, wirklich sauber und der Ausblick ist traumhaft! Der Weg in die Altstadt bzw. zurück dauert ca. 10-15min zu Fuß und ist schon mit ein paar Höhenmetern und einigen Stufen verbunden, was für uns aber kein Problem war. Zum Frühstück kann ich nichts sagen, da wir das nicht in Anspruch genommen haben.

Parkplatz-Situation nicht ganz so einfach. Im Bad fehlte uns Ablagefläche und Aufhängungen für Handtücher, Klopapier oder Shampoo in der Dusche.

Villa Greta can be hard to get to. Do not underestimate how steep Taormina is! Bus transfer to and from the station/main centre is at set times but not regular, and ends around 7pm.

Taormina'nın tepesine yerleşmiş bir otel. Harika bir manzara. Temiz ve güvenli. Kahvaltıyı otelde yapmak isterseniz de kahvaltı büfesi büyük ve tatmin edici.

Arabasız o yolu çıkmak ve inmek imkansız. Ancak otelin otoparkı yok. Arabayı daracık yollarda yol kenarlarına parketmek zorunda kalıyorsunuz. O da yer bulursanız.

Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Ik verbleef in de junio suite en alles was heel proper met moderne faciliteiten. Het uitzicht vanop mijn terras of vanaf het ontbijt op mount Etna en de baai zijn adembenemend mooi. De prijzen van de lekkere gerechten in hun restaurant zijn zeer goed qua prijs/kwaliteit. Echt een aanrader !!!!!!!

Es gab es einen freundlichen Austausch. Wir wurden schon im Vorfeld kontaktiert und informiert, was beachtet werden sollte… Anfahrt, Parksituation und nicht barrierefrei. Das gesamte Team war super nett, immer hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Die Lage und der Blick grandios… Das Zimmer sauber und hübsch gestaltet. Und das Essen der Wahnsinn. Das Frühstück haben wir so noch nie erlebt! So vielfältig und reichlich. Und am Abend kann man auch sehr gut und preiswert essen. Von der Unterkunft aus ist man zu Fuß in 15 Minuten in der wunderschönen Altstadt. Am oberen Ausgang ist auch gleich eine Bushaltestelle. Wenn man mit dem Auto anreist, unbedingt einen Parkplatz buchen. Wir konnten unseren kleinen 500 - er Fiat im Objekt parken . Kostet zwar extra, dafür stand er sicher.

Nettes Hotel am Ortsrand, liegt am Hang mit sehr vielen Stufen. Etwa 15 Minuten ins Zentrum. Zimmer etwas klein, aber tolles neues Bad! Frühstück sehr gut, mit wunderschönen Blick auf den Ätna. Tolles Personal, hilft die Koffer über die Stiegen zu tragen.

Viele Stiegen, am Abend noch den Berg hochzugehen....
