We loved the location. The bedding was great,but very heavy. We would have loved a top sheet or al lighter weight blanket. The bathroom was excellent. The restaurant was very good and the staff were great.

The fake flowers on the tables were unnecessary and look cheap. The smaller arrangements were ok,but the bold fake roses cheapen the nice restaurant. Something smaller and classy would be helpful.

Die Lage war schön. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht.

Das Badezimmer war schimmlig, die Tapete hat sich von der Wand gelöst und es war auch nicht sauber! Im Ganzen ist es sehr alt, und nicht gut erhalten.

It's in a nice location, and the building is attractive. Our room was small but okay.

shower did not empty of water when showering, i had to shut it off to empty every few mins, i booked for an evening meal and when i went to dinning area, i was told that i hadn't booked, luckily they fit me in for a different time slot i had not been added to the form, also the meals menu could have more variety, as same menu every night i could not get my car out due to the coaches being parked in the way, i asked the reception if they could ask for it to be moved and was told she would not do anything about this,

De kamer mooi en stijlvol gerenoveerd. Het is een ruime, warme kamer. De bedden liggen goed en zijn netjes. De badkamer is erg netjes gepoetst. Het ontbijt werd tot het einde aangevuld en was vers en lekker.

Er is geen ventilatie in de slaapkamer. Het venster is nog in enkel glas, maar wij hebben geen koude tocht door de venster gevoeld.

Clean and compact rooms

Need to book table for dinner as soon as you check in. Clearly there has to be table for guests who stay. We were like 30 mins after check in to book dinner table and it was fully booked

Friendly staff, good location

Drafts In room windows, the fact we had to pay for our breakfast before we got seated, was rude, and a rip off. We actually ate at a better hotel along the road on last morning, couldn’t do enough for us , didn’t pay before we got breakfast, and we were people off the street. Fantastic breakfast.Also no Sandwiches made at the GAIRLOCH, poor considering, there sister hotel STONEFIELD CASTLE, can provide snacks anytime.

Gute Lage

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen, um die Gegend zu erkunden. Das Zentrum von Gairloch ist in 10 Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen. Da Hotel hat einen landestypischen Flair, den ich sehr zu schätzen weiß. Gehobene Ansprüche kann es zwar nicht erfüllen, doch dafür hat es ein sehr gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis. Zum Frühstück gibt es eine Auswahl, die keine Wünsche offen lässt. Erwähnen möchte ich auch noch die Freundlichkeit der Angestellten.

Bed was very short

It is good value in terms of the location and the room with a view.

The breakfast was NOT great. The food in the hot buffet was dried up and not good quality. It was pretty basic in other respects too. Cheap stuff. (Apart from the croissants which were good). I think they could up their game with the breakfast. Even if it is good value there should be no need to have such low quality food. I overheard someone who had eaten an evening meal there complaining about the quality of the food so it may not just be breakfast.

Location excellent. Quiet recently refurbished room. Attentive staff.

Breakfast fairly ordinary - everything hot was fried. Room had 2 single beds & no view of the loch.

The Small double room appears to have been recently refurbished - it was very clean and nicely designed. The main halls have an old school charm to them - one I'd very much expect from a Scottish manor, such as this. We only stayed for a night but thought it was a great place and good value for money. The beach in front of the hotel offers a really nice view of the water, and we even managed to see a small seal fishing in the cove.

We had a slight issue with the shower handle but not a major problem.

We didn’t use the hotel for food or drinks so can’t comment on them. The staff were pleasant at reception but there is no atmosphere, the room was very tired windows crumbling so noice of traffic, we had a superior room but didn’t think there was anything special about the room apart from the view. The room was clean and bed comfy.

La habitación, espectacular. Las vistas increíbles, llegamos a ver focas desde la ventana de nuestra habitación. La limpieza, perfecta. La paz desayunando viendo el mar desde la habitación .

Por poner un pero, el baño algo antiguo necesitaría una reforma.

The location was excellent and the food was tasty. The room was a good size and clean. We checked in 2 hours earlier than normal, which was good and the staff were very friendly.

The bathroom was really small and there was not enough space to hang 2 bath and hand towels. Also no where to put toiletries. Our room was next to the car park, so there were lots of slamming car doors and driving in and out. As it was on the ground floor, the seaview was obscured by plants. Having to make reservations everyday for breakfast and dinner. Dated decor with garish red carpets in the main lobby and dining area and the room had dirty curtains. It did not feel like a deluxe room. The beds were very narrow and small.

Loved the hotel, staff were incredible helpful and friendly. Had a gorgeous little room with a magnificent view.

La chambre était très spacieuse et refaite à neuf, claire et agréable avec une jolie vue sur le front de mer. La salle de bain était aussi neuve et bien conçue (avec une baignoire). La déco était jolie, les lits confortables. C'était la meilleure chambre de mon séjour en Ecosse.

Un fauteuil pour admirer la vue près de la fenêtre serait appréciable.

Food was lovely

Parfaitement situé au bord du Lac dans la ville de Gairloch. Lit très grand et confortable. Bouilloire, et petits gâteaux d'accueil. Le check-in tardif était très pratique. Calme et silencieux.

On sent que l’hotel est ancien, les châssis des fenêtres étaient un peu abîmées et le pommeau de douche était dur à manipuler. Mais c'est vraiment minimum par rapport au confort général.

Hotel molto grande, un po datato ma , con tutti i confort. Ottima cena , la colazione ricca e abbondante. Posizione ottima.

Zimmeraustattung Möbel einfach veraltet, Matratzen zu weich oder durchgelegen. Doppelbett mit 150cm.definitive zu klein Abendessen, war nicht das beste. Denke das kommt durch die Bus-Rundfahrten mit vielen Gästen. Punkt: 3 von 5, mehr war nicht drin.

The twin room was newly refurbished with great sea views.The restaurant was good value and had a buffet breakfast. There was plenty of parking, a bar and also quieter lounges overlooking the sea.

Nous avons eu à faire à une personne pas très souriante à la réception, nous parlons difficilement anglais et à deux reprises nous n'avons pas compris un aurevoir de la dame, un peu plus d'amabilité serait apprécié pour accueillir des clients De plus il a fallu laisser couler l eau 15 min pour avoir de l eau chaude (sur les consignes du personnel et que cela leur était normal)

Lovely grand old hotel on NC500 route with fantastic coastline views. The room was clean and modern. The food in the restaurant was excellent, including a slap up buffet style breakfast in the morning. Plenty of parking and there's a 24 hr fuel station next door.

The recently refurbished bathroom looked great but it had a terrible shower design that meant it was basically impossible to put the shower head in a fixed position without it falling off it's holder. After a long day on the bike, shower trouble is not really what you want and we had to hose ourselves down like dogs! It also leaked badly out of the cubicle. Hopefully these issues will be quickly rectified once more people who have in fact used a shower before discover what a pain it is...

- Das Hotel ist gut gelegen direkt am Strand/Waseer - Das Abendessen und Frühstück war lecker und ausreichend - Das Personal war sehr freindlich und zuvorkommend - Parkplatz ist kostenlos vor dem Hotel - Zimme war suber und Zweckmässig eingerichtet

- Das Abendessen im grossen Esssaal war unruhg und laut, da ein ganzer Car voll Leite dort gegessen hatte und der Reiseleiter sehr Laut seine Gäste instruiert, wie und was im Preis inkl. ist. Kammen uns vor wie in einem Semiar. - Die Zimmer sind mit 10 m² sehr klein, steht bei den Details im Beschreib, muss man sich bewusst sein.

The location was excellent, right in front of the beach, and the hotel itself looked very beautiful from the outside.

Unfortunately, the experience inside the hotel was very disappointing. The hotel felt very old and musty and was clearly in need of renovation. Cleanliness was also an issue, particularly as the bed linen was stained. The bathroom was in poor condition, with several exposed pipes, and the light above the mirror was not working. The water temperature was also a major problem: even at the lowest temperature setting, the water was extremely hot, making it almost impossible to take a comfortable shower. Parking was another issue. There were simply not enough parking spaces for the number of guests the hotel can accommodate, which made finding a place to park difficult.

Traditional hotel in a charming location. Very good value for money.

Dignified old hotel, very atmospheric. The was spacey and comfortable, old-timey but not in a bad way. The restaurant was great, both staff and foodwise. Brilliant dinner and a solid breakfast. Felt like staying in a Poirot mystery, minus the murder.

Surely we've moved on from separate hot and cold taps, it's 2026.

View outside / location is number ONE!!! Dinner / breakfast / cafe location is DREAMY + great bar with a nice selection of beers, wines, and spirits !! The Bathrooms are incredible!! Beds were nice and comfy too.

WiFi is a little slow or not really accessible in certain areas of the hotel. Other than that no complaints.

We were lucky and our room was one of the renovated ones. The location was excellent. Good breakfast.

The facilities were very old and the staff wasn’t friendly. Our waitress was lovely but rest of the staff pretty unfriendly overall. It is very expensive for what you get. We love this sort of old hotels and that is why we decided to stay, we want to help keeping them open, but honestly, definitely it needs a lot more of love. It was pretty shabby and expensive. Bad dinner, frozen salmon (shocking in such location!).

Hôtel vieillot qui aurait vraiment besoin d'une rénovation. Aucune isolation phonique. La dame du bar n'est pas aimable du tout (le reste du personnel est charmant).

De bouw en de inrichting was erg mooi met wen ruime, prettige lounge met fijne stoelen. Personeel was vriendelijk en hulpvaardig.

Erg kleine badkamer. In de douche kon ik mijn voeten niet wassen. De wastafel was net zo klein als een fonteintje in een wc. En weer maar 1 stoel op een tweepersoons kamer. Waarom?

Good location. We were upgraded to a recently refurbished seaview room. Everything was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly without being overbearing.

The Breakfast was Excellent!! The Restaurant Staff were also Excellent!! Always Friendly and very Helpful. They never got Flustered when serving lots of Evening Meals!! (Keep up your exceptional Work) Sweet courses were Amazing. The Main courses were of big portion. The Ladies in Reception were also very Friendly and so so Helpful!!

We would have liked Fresh cooked chips instead of French Fries.

This hotel is just fab to stop over for a night when driving the route 500.Staff were amazing,room with a view of the beach just perfect,evening meal was lovely and very pleasant places to relax around the hotel to enjoy your after meal drinks.Nice walk along the beach at night .Hotel had lots of information leaflets for you to look at if you were unsure what to do.

Think maybe just a few more condiments for to put on your toast would be nice and maybe make sure that hot water flasks are filled often as hot water was lukewarm for tea, also make things are replenished often.
