It’s very good value for money and a nice location.

It’s really just a basic room in part of the house. The mosquito situation in the room wasn’t good.

The environment around the place is very calm and most good to relax.

The fan in the room is not spinning, so the air is coming in slowly and less.

Very lovely people and some of the most amazing food I have had in Sri Lanka so far, The Dahl was heaven. Everything was well priced. Would stay again in a heartbeat

Very sweet hosts who washed our clothes for us (450/kg) and offered to help arrange transport. Peaceful neighborhood close to the lake overlooking Mihintale. Thank you for a great stay.

The only thing is the beds are short for people 175cm and over. Otherwise, all great.

A great place to saty in Anuradhapura. The host was very friendly and helpful. We talked a lot about his guesthouse business and he would listen to all our recommendations on how to make a place better. The place itself is a bit distant from the main bus stand and the historical city. but we still loved our stay no matter what! thank you very much!

Staff were very helpful. We arrived very late, the shops were closed and we didn’t arrange any food. Despite this, the lady made some quick food for us; they tried the best to satisfy their customers.

A wonderful experience in Grand Refuge. We had a warm welcome, the room is comfortable, fan is a plus. We had dinner and breakfast also which were really really delicious. Garden is beautiful and the place is peaceful. Price/quality balance is more than perfect. Manushka is really helpful and friendly. I highly recommend. We had a great time. Thank you so much 🙏🏻

Such good value, a lovely place and the host was so helpful. He sent us so much information about where to go in the area and we had a delicious breakfast on the porch cooked by his mother. Loved our stay here!

The location, garden, rooms and bathroom are great. If you come with your family, you are very safe because there are very good hosts and the food is incredibly delicious. I will visit again. In 3 minutes you are in the walking area of ​​the lake

Amazing food. Friendly hosts and beautiful surroundings. Despite some of our expectations not met by the facilities the host tried his best to help us.

The rooms were basic and bit cramped but cosy. The hosts lived in the same property and the apartment was not a separate house but part of the house. I was hoping it is a separate house or an apartment for our group of 7. There was no hot water in the property which is not stated in the booking.com. Some information on facilities need to be updated by booking.com. So we didn't stay for two nights. Only stayed for one night.

The hotel room was like living in the jungle.the doors had holes,the windows had no glass due to the funny excuse of ventilation,inside the room we found frogs,cacorotches,lizards.

Very friendly and helpful owner! Explained us what to see in Anuradhapura. Arranged a hotspot for us as the Wifi was not working during our stay. The location is a little bit outside the city center in a quiet neighborhood, but you have the option to rent bikes. Would book again here.

Everything was amazing! Nice apartment and delicious home made food for breakfast and dinner. The house is also very quiet. The host is very friendly. I'd definitely stay again!

The place is calm and clean. And the food is also very tasty.The support of family members is also admirable.

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful place with my parents and my cousin sister. First and foremost, the cleanliness of the place was truly impressive.One of the standout aspects of this place was the sense of freedom it offered. The environment was incredibly calm and quiet, allowing us to unwind and truly relax.The staff at this location were not only friendly but also exceptionally supportive. Dishes also were really delicious. What's more, the value for the money spent was outstanding.We all enjoyed our time there and look forward to returning in the future.

I travelled with my elderly parents, my two kids and my sister. We wanted to stay in a quiet place (as my father is a heart patient) with maximum security. Grand Refuge Holiday Resort provided us just that. Rooms were clean and comfortable and we used the kitchen to cook our meals as well. The host family was very friendly, polite and was ready to help us in any way possible. We would definitely use Grand Refuge Resort when we visit Anuradhapura again.

The family has been amazing to me:) They have been much more than hosts. Kind, accomodating and very good hearted people. The curry and fresh juice they prepared for me was delicious (I got some for a takeawy when leaving). Manushka took me on a city tour and showed around the places tourist don't get to see. Enjoyed that time and good talks we had. The evening spent on the terrace watching the parrots and peacocks in that beautiful garden will be unforgettable. I slept very well, the bed was comfortable and the fan kept me cool. The place itself is simple but very clean. It had everything I needed. I hope to get back there soon and meet those beautiful people. It will be like coming back home. Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay. You made my trip:)
