I would have preferred the television to be in the main room and the big step into the room is something to get use to as older people might struggle with the big step

The wifi was a problem we had no wifi signal in the main bedroom,kitchen,bathroom only if you stand against the double bunks so we had to buy xtra data to play music

Reviewed Apr 29, 2026It was in Hartenbos and it was affordable and spacious.
One thing that I found just rude is that the host never in all correspondence mentioned their name. Then the place was only cleaned where you can see. When I lifted duvet at bottom bed in the bunk bed you could see the sheet wasn’t replaced so I slept on too of the duvet on the bottom bed and used duvet from top bed to cover me. The next morning I saw the top bed had hairs and some kind of dark bits on the sheet. The cup in bathroom where you put your toothbrush and toothpaste was not cleaned, and there was something that seemed like blood on the wall. The step to the bedroom could have an extra step as it is very difficult for an older person to step down especially since there are no handles to support climbing up or down.

The main bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. No soap and only one bath towel provided. A minor update would give you a 10/10 rating because it’s really a great spot.

Reviewed Feb 23, 2026The facility was clean, off road parking and the neighbourhood was nice and quiet. The rooms were also modern and spacious. Shaded parking was provided and a outside rack for the beach towels was an added bonus. The pictures also does not do the property justice.

Reviewed Dec 3, 2025Before arrival, i phoned the owner and she said she wil send details of the place. Still waiting on it. (just to mentioned we booked 2 weeks beforehand) as we arrived no details was sent. I phoned her and she sound confused on whats going on. She came out of her home and said to me someone already checked in... Obviously it wasn't me. She tried getting hold of the couple was already inside but couldn't get hold. We said we wil go to the mall as she can figure things out. About an hour she phoned and said there was a glitch from lekker slaap and they booked and the sistem approved. She did made a plan on getting us a "similar" place and we said if its the same we will take it. We got there and clearly it was not the same... No bath, no wifi (still waiting on feedback if there is any internet connection) the place was dirty. There was an ants nest in the kitchen. The mobile braai was rusted and holes as big as my fist. My 2 kids got bitten all over their bodies by fleas or something as we had to go to a pharmacy to get something for the swelling and itching. I spoke to few people and all said the owner were supposed to remove the people that booked the last minute and give them a different place and we had to be placed in Rock away beach (we booked 2 weeks in advance) Never again!

Reviewed Oct 26, 2025The accommodation was nearby to all facilities and the sea. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious with ample cupboards. Excellent for short term holiday getaway . Our host was helpful and accommodating .I would highly recommend booking this venue.

Unfortunately the unit was advertised as having 2 bedrooms but the bunk bed is actually in the lounge. It was a little bit inconvenient for 2 adult women. This needs to be rectified online so people know what to expect. Also, the oversized step into the bedroom is potentially dangerous if you arrive in the evening as the light switch is on the other side of the room. Perhaps a "mind the step" sign should be put at the doorway.

For those guests who enjoy milk with their coffee, they should remember to bring their own. Also, remember to bring your own soap/shower gel.

The place requires air-conditioning! Its a must because its too hot in that space and we literally never slept because of the heat! Kitchen needs an update and more utensils.
