Reviewed Mar 5, 2025Markku has been very kind and made the key pickup and drop-off very easy and flexible. The cabin is beautiful and authentic, perfect for experiencing Lapland. We were able to see the northern lights from the doorstep, and there were even snowshoes and cross-country skis available for us to use for free to explore the snow, as well as a couple of sleds—such fun!

Reviewed Dec 3, 2024We stayed at Markku’s house for 2 nights and, definitely, would have stayed longer! It was a really nice stay: the house was clean and cozy and, even though it is a 15 min drive away from Rovaniemi and Santa Claus Village, this gives you an extra easy opportunity for Aurora hunting (as at night there is not a lot of light)! In addition, Markku was really welcoming and helpful, he explained everything when we arrived, he even prepared the sauna for us and lent us specific shoes for ice so that we could do our excursions safely. We really recommend staying here!

Reviewed Nov 16, 2024Very good value for money, quiet location, comfy bed, pleasant living room. House is close to the main river and there is a reindeer farm nearby. The host speaks English; friendly guy. Warmly recommend.
The front door lock is a bit moody. It has opened during one of our nights, as we could not lock it properly from the inside.
