The sofas were very low & not very comfortable.

The lodge we had far exceeded our expectations. Often there are little niggles in self catering where you realise you want to use something and it's not supplied. Not the case here, there was even a safe provided which we've not had before in a lodge. The dog facilities were excellent as well, great dog exercise park, fully fenced and enclosed and dog poo bins all over the park. Would highly recommend, definitely coming back!

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the property was very disappointing and significantly impacted our stay. Within an hour of receiving the keys, I contacted reception to report the condition of the property. The night porter was sent with a hoover, but this did not address the wider cleanliness issues. There were someone’s bitten-off fingernails on the sofa, surfaces had clearly not been wiped down, there were dirty marks throughout, and the property was very dusty. The floors had also not been properly hoovered or mopped. There was also dog poo left on the decking, despite the property being advertised as a “no pets” house, and there was a noticeable smell of dog inside. Sadly, this was not the standard of cleanliness we expected, particularly given the price we paid. The property also looked considerably more pristine in the listing photographs than it did in reality, which was very disappointing. Overall, the cleanliness was a major let-down and unfortunately took away from what should have been an enjoyable stay. We were offered a £30 voucher as an apology, but given the extent of the issues and the fact that we reported them almost immediately after arrival, we did not feel this was an adequate level of compensation.

Our mattress was extremely soft and bed springs could be felt through the bedding. The light in the main bathroom wouldn't stay on. The timer seemed to have been set wrong.

The lodge was lovely and clean and located in a quiet spot a short walk from the sea front. We had a balcony with a view of countryside and the sea. There was two bathrooms and everything you need for cooking (utensils, fridge, freezer, oven hob and microwave). There was also a dishwasher and washing machine. The site had a lovely swimming pool along with a sauna, gym and steam room.

A bit tired and in need of so TLC. We have a few issues but the staff sorted these out straight away. The bed was way too soft for me, which made sleeping difficult. The shower was so small that I had great difficulty washing in it.

Gym was limited. Early finish for food at the Terrace (8.15 pm) Associated facility (Base Camp) was not offering clip and climb only soft play. However they took entrance money before telling us. We wouldn’t even buy a coffee there after that because we felt it was done in an underhand manner.

We were very happy with our stay in the lodge. The size is perfect for our family of six + our dog.It is very clean and well kept. A feel of home when you’re far from home.Cosy and comfy. We love the hot tub and the pool. The staff in reception were lovely and welcoming.Thanks for the lovely time we had!

The lakeside cabin was set in a perfect location, the view of the lake and water feature was very relaxing. The cabin itself was a perfect size and had everything we needed. The hot tub, despite a couple issues was a lovely feature. The wildlife around the lake was lovely to watch, and was very peaceful at night.

Unfortunately the dirty laundry and rubbish from the previous stay was left on the doorstep upon arrival. This wasn’t collected until we rang for someone to come and sort out the hot tub, which the porters admitted they had forgotten to turn and replenish before our arrival. Once working we enjoyed the hot tub, but a little more privacy would have made it more relaxing.

The location and views were stunning. The facilities available at the site were ideal. It was easy to access the local beach from the resort by car, possibly walking distance too but we didn’t attempt to. The restaurant was good, both the food and service we received were lovely. And the site as a whole was very pleasant.

The cleanliness of the lodge was not the best, carpets were stained, the floor was soaking wet from being mopped before we arrived and the kitchen utensils were dirty. We also had to hoover when we arrived as there were bits of food all over the floor which is not ideal with a baby who picks everything up. The lodge was lovely but dated and needs updating, the blinds kept breaking and the showers need refurbing. The soft play was okay but a bit old and worn and could do with an upgrade as does the pool changing area.

Mattress of the main double bed was too soft. Pool temperature could have been a bit warmer for the children especially as they are not allowed in the jacuzzi.

Loved our stay at Gwen an Mor - it was so spacious and the view was better than we expected! It was in a great location and we enjoyed taking a walk down tot he beach in the evening to watch the sunset and have a swim. We had so much space and very clean. The beds were very comfy.

The staff were friendly and happy to help. The lodge was clean and comfortable with decent bed linen and nice touches like dressing gowns and toiletries. We were a large party with 3 lodges booked and we were all very happy. We had 2 dogs and were pleased to have an exercise field specifically for them.

There was nothing not to like. We needed a few kitchen baking trays, and hospitality bought some down promptly.

The cabin was extremely worn flooring, a few things that doing and hadn’t been cleaned properly. Wanted a bit of lakeside luxury? There was still a pack left by the previous guests with their names and dates on it, as well as dog fur and sand. Even after reception arranged for it to be cleaned again, it was not all done. It just felt rushed. Overall, it just didn’t feel clean. I think is the properties close the beach furniture should be moved properly so they can be cleaned.

Signature lodge was excellent. Clean and comfortable. Fab location nice walk down to Portreath and lots of walks. Really helpful staff and very peaceful.

Great to have pool and steam room/sauna. But steam room is small and needs updating and really needs a cold shower for afterwards. Only 2 showers in pool area and both hot and not adjustable. Gym very small and old equipment, it would be great to see this a more useable facility. These were small issues though, we had a really lovely stay.

The lodge was lovely and well equipped. There are a few tired features in the bathroom that need replacing, but they were in no way detrimental to our stay.

The overall score was brought down by not being able to fix the hot tub despite reporting it on day 1. The Facilities team was supposed to come in the next morning which they didn't. All the crew did was reset it without actually attempting to fix the tripping out issue.

We had a lovely stay at the lodge. It was very spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. There was plenty of room for the whole family, and we really appreciated how clean and well-presented everything was.

It was a good location to travel to other places such as st Ives and Newquay. Lovely beach near by. Lodge lovely and spacious.

I think the surroundings of the lodge isnt much to do. The covers has abit of a musty small to them.

Arrived at reception, the staff were very friendly, we even had an escort to our lodge which was most welcome after our long drive. 2 signature lodge accommodation excellent, clean, fully equiped kitchen, comfy bed, lovely views and walks, hot tub amazing. If you want peace and quiet to unwind this is a perfect retreat. I'm already booking my next stay 😃

We had our little dachshund Oska with us, so a doggy bin on site would of been most welcomed.

The location of our property was really nice. Quiet corner of the park, but close to facilities which was great. The bedroom and living space were both brilliant.

Incorrect lodge compared to the one that was booked and paid at extra cost compared to the smaller and certainly not an upgraded option we were given, with no option to change as fully booked out no option to change throughtout the whole week no refund offered for this. The property on arrival was like no one had cleaned the building, other than changing beds and replacing loo rolls in each bathroom, with pet urine and feces left on the floor, a dirty mop which had been used to clean up after pets left in the downstairs bathroom, Disgusting bathroom toilet brush. Fridge freezer was not opperational to start with had to store food in reception fridge for a day until was sorted 24hrs later. Unable to cook in the property due to issues above so were offered/given £40 gift voucher to use in the onsite bar. Had to stay in the property in these conditions over night with no option to move lodge or stay else where untill issues were recitfied. Cleaned 24hours later Beds were changed clean linen and fresh towels to use

The walking distance from the car park with the laggages,is a bit strenuous. We noticed how dusty it was, and it appeared to have not been mopped. Dust on the headboard and spider jumped my daughter. One of the bed had no mattress protector and has a big map stain on it. Overally was okay

The property is spacious and very well equipped with a washing machine and dishwasher. We liked the fact that we had a lodge with a view and the living areas were upstairs. So we could enjoy the view most of the time.

Lo chalet era pulito e con la cucina super accessoriata di elettrodomestici…ma una padella sola! I balconi in legno invece sporchi e con ragnatele. Il ristorante carino e staff gentile, abbiamo mangiato bene. Peccato non facciano la colazione. Piscina e vasca idromassaggio apprezzabili.

Per spostarsi occorre necessariamente la macchina se non si vogliono fare un paio di chilometri a piedi a tratta e in salita.

Parking is unassigned and too many cars per unit so nowhere to park near the lodge.

The resort was very good. Has lots of potential. While booking, I was unaware of the administration order against it which is unfortunate. Hopefully the resort will survive and bounce back to be successful. A bit of TLC in places will help. This includes the golf course, my step son played a short round and enjoyed but missed a few clubs. Mainly the putter! 😉

I think the hot tubs should be cleaned daily or every few days at least. Most resorts we have visited clean them daily. We were on site from Monday to Friday and nobody attended the tub.

Small cabin with ocean view directly at a pond. The Hottub was clean and ready to use, when we arrived. The resort is well located and still very quiet. The cabin is well equipped and has fast internet.

At first glance, everything looked clean, but upon closer inspection, unfortunately, it wasn’t really clean everywhere. The flooring urgently needs to be replaced. In many places, it has swollen and the top layer has peeled off, exposing the material underneath. As a result, the floor can no longer be cleaned properly. The hot tub cover is completely rotten and is falling apart, so it urgently needs to be replaced.

The master bedroom mattress had to be replaced due to being very old and I had to sleep on the sofa for 1 night and the sofa has been well used, however still comfortable but could do with being updated.

Also on lodge 48 fridge doors are damaged sometimes they was opening by them self's looks like need to be repair. Like decking they are used by years hopefully soon they will be renovate . But as a.place is cozy and worth it to visit.

The location of our lodge was perfect close to the park and facilities for our kids all staff were lovely not far from the beach which was a bonus will definitely be back.

Our lodge wasn’t the cleanest some of the pans and utensils were dirty our decked area had trees and stinging nettles hanging all over it so we couldn’t sit outside but that was the only downside

Close enough to the beach, Walked down to Portreath beach a few times didn’t take too long even with 2 kids 🤣 nice little welcome packs on arrival in the lodge with tea bags, coffee sachets tea towel, dish washing tablet and little bath set containing shower gel ect. We stayed in lodge 37 and had a view of the sea. We also ate at the terrace and the food was really good.

The only thing I could think of was it did smell outside our front door as it was right by the bins. And they were overflowing.

Portreath is lovely and the resort overall is nicely presented and quiet. Units are large and well laid out.

There is a clear lack of care and maintenance in the units, with the bare minimum of amenities and supplies provided. Our unit had a clogged drain, broken cupboards and broken cleaning equipment. The unit essential supplies included no washing up liquid or extra toilet paper... Very strange things to be skint on, considering the overall quality of the resort otherwise.

Lodge was lovely. Lots of little extras like bathrobes, shampoo soap teabags coffee etc . Nice and clean. My only negative was the double bed. The mattress needs replacing as it sags in the middle

Dated furniture in living space and in need of. Deep deep clean. It could have done with outside housekeeping too as the plants were very overgrown but this may be due to the extreme temperature recently. It has the potential to be exceptional with some investment and on site shop possibly and some light entertainment

Great holiday vibes and a prime location! Although the pool wasn't very big, both adults and kids had a fantastic time.

The hot water in one of the bathrooms couldn't be temperature-controlled—it only ran hot water.

Location was superb. Cabin was amazing and very clean (even as a dog friendly cabin). Very pleasant and nice place to stay. Was fully stocked with all the cooking equipment and things we needed. Would definitely visit again.

Sinks were slow to drain. TV remote was not very clean. Option to split double bed would be even better. Would have liked to have 2 keys to cabin.

This was my first visit in 13 years. The view and the layout of the lodge were lovely. The staff in the restaurant were really welcoming and attentive, and the food was great.

All of the shrubbery is overgrown, and the site is very unkempt, with the large refuse bins completely overflowing with guests having to leave bags of rubbish left on the ground outside on a daily basis. The lodge smelled quite fusty when we walked in, but it was a pet friendly lodge, so a few open windows solved that. On closer inspection, cleanliness in the bathrooms was clearly not a high priority, two and a half toilet rolls (which were not replenished) wasn't much for 5 people for a week. Moving to the kitchen, previously, the welcome pack that used to be is now a small brown box with a round plug sized bar of dish soap instead of fairy liquid, a sponge, j- cloth and one dishwasher tablet. A few teabags and coffee/milk sachets. The standard that had been set when the resort was being developed has definitely not been maintained. When we arrived we used toilets in the pool house as we were early and the lodge wasn't ready, the floor in the changing rooms/pool toilets were disgusting so I decided we wouldn't use the pool at all. The decking and picnic table were gross, and clearly haven't been cleaned for a long time, with moss and bird poo everywhere. This is now a 2 star resort, instead of the award winning 5 star it was once. I will not be returning.

I cant comment about onsite facilities as we only played tennis, but from driving past it looked a bit sparse with not much activity. The tennis rackets were a bit battered with strings missing. Nothing worth complaining about.

Hot tub covers at the lake side lodges are looking a little tired and beaten up. Preferred that the restaurant used to deliver to your lodge but not a massive issue to collect

Brilliant location. Ideal base for exploring Cornwall. Lodge was very clean. Lovely view of the sea from the living room. The food onsite was great. The play park was ideal for kids.

En-suite was damp. We did raise this and someone came to check but we didn’t hear any more. Hope it’s sorted for the next people who stay. We asked for our twin room to be made into a double. We think they did the wrong room as we had no storage and no lamp. We lived out of our case. There was a broken blind lying in the living room. There was no air conditioning. Seems to depend if you book with booking.com or other companies. Also be aware there are two bathrooms and not three. Again depends which company you book with.

Incredibly clean. Bed were very comfortable and had black out curtains. We all slept like a dream every night especially as it’s so quiet at night. Staff were very happy and friendly. Was so convenient having the washer and dryer plus the fridge and full freezer. Fully equipped kitchen, even the knives were great quality. Just about to book our next trip back.

We stayed in one of the Lakeside cabins which was a beautiful location onsite and we were entertained by the geese, ducks and heron on the pond in the mornings

Only downside was the cabin had no air conditioning and only one opening window so there was no opportunity for creating a draft overnight in the heat.

We had no hot water for a shower or to wash ip we had a dog with us who ate raw food so was a massive inconvenience for us. Took a day to get access to another building to have showers. Also the steps down to the garden area where not finished so there was grip fill and sharp edges all over them very Dangerous for our dog and children. Had to take a video of it and take to reception to get repaired.
