The breakfast was great and plentiful, typical Moroccan style. Hospitality was excellent, so helpful and wanting to share lots of local knowledge. Moroccan people really are the best. Excellent aircon a bonus. Very peaceful location. Slept great. Get your own door key as well.

The only downside for me was the location was a little secluded to get to, I wouldn't stay again if I was travelling solo (I am again this weekend solo). However, I was with my niece so was all good and the internet reception with google maps in the medina is exceptional so you wont get lost.

I loved everything about my stay at Dar Si Hmed. The location is ideal to explore Rabat! The hospitality of Uncle Nasr and his wife Iman is just on another level. They made me feel like home, I felt like I was staying with family from the moment I arrived. They are very kind, I got to try different Moroccan specialties and learnt a lot about Moroccan culture especially around the Eid traditions as I was during Eid Ul Adha. The history of the house is amazing, you can tell a lot of effort has gone into maintaining the house and you feel the passion of Uncle Nasr when he tells you about the architecture of the house and all its gems. A taxi can also be arranged for pick up and drop off to the airport for an extra small fee, which is convenient. I had an early train to catch from Rabat on one of the days for a day trip in another city and Uncle Nasr made sure I had the correct directions to reach the train station. He was also very kind and messaged me later on during the day to make sure I reached my destination safely, little details like that make a big difference.

Wat een geweldig verblijf hebben we hier gehad bij Nasr en zijn vrouw. Dit voelt niet als een hotel overnachting maar alsof je bij hen onderdeel bent van zijn familie. Echt een home away from home. Nasr is super gastvrij en zeer behulpzaam met welke vraag je ook hebt. Het traditionele ontbijt is geweldig en wordt vol met passie en mooie verhalen geserveerd. De locatie in de oude medina is ook perfect: korte wandeling naar het strand, maar ook de bezienswaardigheden. Het ligt op een rustige en veilige plek in het doolhof van de oude straatjes van Rabat. Als we terugkomen in Rabat gaan we zeker weer bij hen overnachten!

Je zou kunnen zeggen dat de privé badkamer en wc een tikkie aan de kleine kant zijn en op de gang liggen maar dat is ook de charme als je voor zo’n accommodatie kiest. Daarbij maakt de warme hospitality dat meer dan goed.

The accommodations exceeded our expectations. The owners were very kind and welcoming, the room was very clean, with fresh towels. An excellent Moroccan breakfast featuring local specialties, along with great coffee and mint tea. Simply perfect.

Ambiance très agréable

这是一间非常古老的住宅改造的民宿，其古老的程度令人吃惊，竟然有近千年。所以也会造成居住的一点不便，电梯自不必说，卫生间也不在房间里。但卫生条件还是非常好的，离海边只有几分钟路程，如果能接受这些不便这家民宿还是非常好的选择。

L'accueil de Nasser et de Iman était très chaleureux. Ce n' est pas un grand riad mais une dar pleine d'histoire très intéressante que Nasser raconte très bien. Localisation proche de la mer et dans une ruelle de la médina. Merci

Voor de eerste keer dat wij in Marokko waren, is het geslaagd! We hebben geboekt in deze Riad met fantastische eigenaars. Van helen begin tot het einde met de nodige historiek over Rabat tips en gids tot het einde met liefde verzorgd ontbijt en , vriendelijkheid. Was voor ons gezin en super geslaagde vakantie. Een superster voor deze prachtige mensen.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Dar Si hmed. Nous avons été accueillis avec beaucoup de chaleur par Nasr qui nous a expliqué l’histoire de sa maison, et sa merveilleuse architecture. Le logement est parfaitement situé dans la médina, très authentique. Nasr et sa femme nous ont servi des petits déjeuners typiquement marocains délicieux, et nous ont donné des conseils pour découvrir la ville de Rabat, qui est par ailleurs très charmante. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

It felt just like being at home. Nasr was super attentive and welcoming. The first day we had some problems with delayed flights, and he still ensured there was a taxi driver at the airport, and he would pick us up to not get lost in the medina. He also gave us an amazing moroccan breakfast, really nice tips on what to visit and do in Rabat, and even taught us on the basics of Maroccan culture. I can truly recommend it to everyone.

A fabulous experience! Nasr is a fantastic host. He and Iman provided first class hospitality and care, including delicious homemade breakfasts, sightseeing suggestions and arranging taxis. The house is incredibly beautiful, even more than the photos show. Cannot recommend Dar Si Hmed highly enough.

Nos gustó muchísimo la ubicación y la casa es realmente bonita y muy cuidada en su estado y decoración . Las habitaciones estaban muy limpias y cuidadas Fueron muy atentos ,nos gustaron la indicaciones para llegar y sobre. que ver y donde comer en Rabat que nos dio el Sr Nasr

Es muy incomodo que el baño que se nos indicó estuviese en otra planta , salir de la habitación por la noche, bajar y subir una escalera empinada cada vez que teníamos que ir al baño fue muy incomodo y desagradable .

My stay with Nasr and Iman was extremely positive. The location was excellent, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. However, the most outstanding part was the kindness and warmth of the hosts. They recommended great places to visit and eat, helped me arrange transport, and made sure everything went smoothly throughout my stay. I felt very welcome in their home and had a truly authentic experience in Rabat. It feels like I made friends in Morocco, and I will do my best to visit them again.

The property is located in the old medina of Rabat, within easy walking distance of the train station and just a few minutes from the beach. It’s an old building, very clean, but what makes it unique is the family that runs it. Nasr and his wife are wonderful people who welcomed me with great kindness, fulfilling every request I had and giving me valuable advice on how to spend my free time in the city and get around. The breakfast was exceptional and plentiful, prepared by hand by Nasr’s wife, with something different every day based on my preferences. Thank you for the wonderful experience, it was a great pleasure to meet you.

Ein sehr nettes Gastgeberehepaar mit vielen Tipps zu Rabat (englisch), liebevoll restoriertes Haus in der Medina und sehr gutes Frühstück mit marrokanischen Spezialitäten, das jeden Tag anders war. Ein sehr bereichernder Aufenthalt.

Das Bad war eng und wir mussten die Treppe runter.

Le séjour était magnifique. On se sent vraiment comme chez soi. L’accueil était chaleureux, tout était propre, et le personnel très gentil. Le petit déjeuner était également très bon.

The host Nasr was the nicest man you can imagine. His English is perfect and the house was amazing too, almost like a castle. I absolutely recommend this place.

This guest house was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming — they made me feel at home and truly like part of the family. We even watched the Morocco football match together, which was a really special moment and made the experience even more memorable. The place was very clean, cozy, and well taken care of. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and I would definitely come back.

L'accoglienza e la gentilezza dei proprietari valgono il soggiorno. La posizione era ottima, calma ma vicino a tutto. La casa è storica e veramente bella! Ci siamo spostati solo a piedi durante i nostri 2 giorni a Rabat. La colazione era buonissima e abbondante tutto preparato dalla moglie del proprietario il quale inoltre ci ha datto ottimi consigli sulla città e la sua storia. Ancora grazie!

Nasyr and Iman were so welcoming and their breakfast was delicious. The Riad was full of history that Nasyr spoke through with pride. The recommendation on what to do and see also helped plan our short visit to ensure we hit all the must sees. We couldn’t recommend staying here enough.

Lokalita byla perfektní stejně tak jako hostitel a jeho žena. Manželský pár se o ubytování stará s láskou a péčí. Oba byli velmi milý, přivítali nás čajem. Snídaně ráno byla chutná. Na pokoji byla možnost přitopit si klimatizací, náhradní deky.

Authentic riad in medina of Rabat that reflects silence, peace and tranquility. The owners are not pushy, but when you have any question they will help you immediately with a big, sincerely smile.The breakfast was every morning very tastful and prepared with local ingredients. Nasr and his wife are phenomenal hosts the property has so much history it’s like being in a time capsule the architecture is a semblance of Moroccos history all the way to Andalusian times place full of art and old ingenuity of old. We started with a welcoming Moroccan tea and ended in the blue forest an art work of a bedroom and woke up with traditional Moroccan breakfast. Honestly a must stay and highly recommended stay

Nasr and his wife were extremely hospitable. I've stayed in Riads throughout my entire journey in Morocco, in Tangier, Chefchaouen, Fez, Marrakech. My experience at Nasr's Riad in Rabat was the best of them all.

From the moment we arrived in Rabat, our stay at Dar Si hmed, with our wonderful hosts Nasr and Iman was exceptional. Nasr arranged a taxi from the airport and met us at the nearest gate to his beautiful home. He told us the history of the house with great pride, and Iman served us delicious mint tea and sweet home made delicacies. Her breakfasts were also wonderful. Nasr gave us great tips for what to see and do in Rabat, and was always available on WhatsApp for information. We would highly reccomend staying with this gracious couple - it was an honour to spend time with them.

To niesamowicie piękny, tysiącletni dom, pieczołowicie odrestaurowany przez pełnego pasji do historii i sztuki właściciela. Eklektyczny dom, składający się z trzech ważnych architektonicznych stylów, wypełniony jest antykami i śpiewem kanarka, który umila niesamowicie pyszne, własnoręcznie przygotowane przez Panią domu śniadania. Świetna lokalizacja, w samym sercu mediny, blisko do Oceanu i ważnych zabytków Rabatu.

Excelente atención por parte de Nasr y su esposa. Buen desayuno con información acerca de la elaboración de los diferentes bocados. A Nasr le gusta enseñar. Nos sentimos muy bien atendidos y los recomendamos como excelentes anfitriones.

La vieja Medina en general es un area de calles estrechas a donde no es posible acceder en auto, así que es muy conveniente pedir ayuda a Nasr anticipadamente para coordinar la llegada. Arrastrar equipaje por calles estrechas que forman un laberinto no lo aconsejo. Si viajas liviano, con un backpack y/o un carry-on todo será más fácil.

The private sun terrace was also fantastic and overall a very restful break.i would highly recommend this beautiful Riad for a real taste of the Moroccan culture.Nasr brings you on a tour of the house which is in his family for six generations.

My stay at Dar Si hmed was perfect. The room is perfect for one person, and the shared bathroom is right next to the room, so it feels like it's your own. The house is beautiful and everything is very clean, plus the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. But best of all is the kindness and helpfulness of Nasr and Iman, who helped me with everything and treated me like part of the family. Thank you so much!!! I hope to see you again someday. Ana

Das Riad in der Medina ist nicht ganz einfach zu finden, da das Navi nicht gut ortet. Ab Nasr hat uns abgeholt und während unseres Aufenthalts sehr gut betreut, informiert und sehr gute Tipps gegeben. Das Riad ist sehr familiär und gemütlich.

Das Bad ist etwas klein. In der Beschreibung wäre es hilfreich, wenn explizit hingewiesen würde, dass es ein Gemeinschaftsbad ist.

Les explications données sur les origines de cette sont fort intéressantes Ses conseils fort avisés pour passer 3 jours bien remplis dans cette ville si agréable. Le calme du logement et le positionnement dans la médina très proche des Oudayas L excellent petit déjeuner. La terrasse fort agréable sur le toit. Le bon rapport qualité prix.

La taille de la chambre un peu petite mais rien de dérangeant. Le partage de la salle de bain prévu dans descriptif n est pas un problème en soi.

A truly amazing place to stay. A beautiful old house in the medina with the kindest couple you’d ever meet running it. They helped us with everything from understanding the city and its history to booking taxis and checking train times. The breakfast was incredible. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We had good wifi and air conditioning, but otherwise it was like stepping back in time being inside the place. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you Nasr!

The beautiful and rich history of this family Riad was explained to me with enthusiasm and love by Nasr after my very warm welcome from Nasr and Iman. I was welcomed into the family with tea, homemade biscuits and just pure open arms. I was shown the whole place with care and attention. Along with great information of the area, recommended places to see and do in my time in Rabat. The restoration has been done with such care and the passion shows in the building and through Nasr. Best breakfast, home cooked each morning was the best I had in Morocco. Sadly I was taken ill with a lung problem whilst there and I could not have wished to be in safer hands. I was taken care of like a family member which was deeply moving and I felt lucky and honoured to have stayed in this place. If I could give more stars I would, I very much look forward to coming back again to see my ‘Rabat family’ and actually next time I will get to see Rabat too. Stay here for the most authentic family stay in a beautiful home in a great location with THE best people. 🥰🙏✨

Our hosts were extremely attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed. Breakfast was a delicious selection of egg, breads and juice with slight variations each day.

The couple who run the Riad were exceptionally warm and hospitable and made me feel at home.. They gave me lots of practical help,navigating the Medina as it's a Warren of streets and I didn't have Google Maps initially due to roaming charges.

Not much,as Nasr and Iman couldn't have done more to make my stay enjoyable. A sign for the Riad on the door or on the street would have been helpful initially. Overall I had axwonderful experience and couldn't recommend their place enough
