Koyao Bay Pavilions - Beach Resort and Pool Villas

We rented two two-bedroom villas for six people, with a shared pool reserved exclusively for our two villas. The houses are attractive, well maintained, private and very pleasant. They are not particularly luxurious, but they offer excellent value for money, especially during the season when we stayed. Air conditioning in the living rooms would make them significantly more comfortable. We had originally booked two different villas but requested a change after discovering that one of them did not have air conditioning, which is quite surprising for a four-star property in Thailand. We received a warm welcome from the English manager when we arrived. However, the service during the rest of our stay felt rather limited. The housekeeping team did a very good job, but when we sent a simple WhatsApp request for some ice, we received no reply. On the other hand, when the manager wanted to know what time we were leaving, he responded within a minute. This was disappointing, as a little more attention would have greatly improved the overall experience. The location is lovely and peaceful, with a very pleasant beach directly in front of the property. The restaurant next to the reception, whether or not it belongs to the hotel, was an excellent surprise. The food and service were both exceptional. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. We would probably return if travelling again with two families. As a couple, however, we would personally choose Cape Kudu, which is slightly more expensive but offers a considerably higher level of service. That is, of course, simply a matter of personal preference.

The facilities were brilliant. The accommodation we stayed in had a private pool and the staff were super accommodating. Very happy to help with any queries we had. We were able to contact them on WhatsApp at any time a day. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again in the near future.

Beautifully and thoughtfully designed, set in an almost untouched and private slice of Koh Yao Noi. Yet close to both the fast boat pier as well as the main beaches and village - all quickly reached by taxi or scooter within a few mins. Designed, built and run by the original owner and their amazing team, it's incredibly tranquil - nestled within beautiful landscaping and nature. Photos do not do the build quality of the villas or the area justice. The beach is clean, safe, and perfect for swimming. Everything about the accommodation has an intentional, ecologically-minded approach. Quite simply, this is the best holiday accommodation we’ve ever stayed at, anywhere. The onsite restaurant, La Sala, was consistently and comfortably the best food and dining we had anywhere in Thailand - it is incredible how personal and authentic they make the experience. We were very sad to leave after a week, but will absolutely be back. Thank you George, Bee, Ryan & team for such an amazing experience :-)

We stayed at one of the villas, it's more of a private complex. The main villa has a master bedroom living room and kitchen. There are two additional guest rooms that are stand alone and a private pool in the middle. The villa is gorgeous, kitchen is very well equipped, spacious and over all exceeded our expectations. We also got a lot of information and help with booking of activities, restaurants etc.

The guest rooms had a minor ant problem but the villa also had anti ant spray that did the work great.

Es waren 3 Gebäude, alle mit separatem Schlüssel (etwas nervig), aber sonst sehr schön und sauber. Der private Pool war klein, und der Balkon davon noch kleiner, aber trotzdem schön, mit schöner Aussicht. Der grosse Gemeinschaftspool war immer leer, deshalb auch sehr angenehm. Das Frühstück war super, wenn man gerne Früchte hat, weniger wenn man Eier bestellt (Omelette, etc. waren immer mit Honig gemacht). Die Leute sind aber äusserst freundlich, das Hotel ist relativ nahe zum Strand (5-10 Minuten), es empfiehlt sich Scooter zu mieten.

Not much! Very minor but some areas outside looked a little uncared for eg peeling paint on the exterior and garden untidy in places.

Vi bodde i Mai Pai-hytten og elsket det! Romslig, eksklusivt og velholdt. Hotellet ligger i et rolig område, rett ved stranden, hvor vi var nesten alene. Svært lekker restaurant, helt nydelig for frokost. Hyggelige og hjelpsomme ansatte. Strandmatter, håndklær og kano-kajakk til utlån - veldig kult å padle over til Koh Nok for en dagsutflukt.

Beautiful property. Theres was some construction next door so it was a little noisy at times which was a a little disappointing as not able to fully enjoy our villa. Not property’s fault and they were very kind and tried best to make sure we were comfortable

Everything was wonderful. The beach area could’ve been a little bit nicer. Not a lot of sand, but in the mornings when the tide was out, we could take walks and the sunrise was beautiful.

Wir haben 4 Nächte in diesem bezaubernden Resort verbracht. Es liegt etwas abseits inmitten unberührter Natur direkt am Strand. Wir hatten eine der drei Beachvillen und waren rundum zufrieden! Das Bungalow ist sehr groß und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es ist alles vorhanden was man so braucht (ausreichend Stauraum, Safe, Bademäntel, Fön, Kühlschrank und ein Moskitonetz über dem Bett). Das Aussenbad ist ein Schmuckstück, sehr großzügig, tolle Regendusche und super schön mit kleinem Garten. Das Bungalow hat keine Klimaanlage, aber das war kein Problem. Es gab zwei Ventilatoren die völlig ausreichend waren. Die zum Bungalow gehörende Sala war sensationell. Ein riesiger überdachter Aussenbereich, sozusagen ein Aussenwohnzimmer 😊. Es gibt eine Sitzecke mit Tisch, zwei bequeme Sessel, zwei Hängematten sowie zwei zugehörige Liegen auf dem Rasen am Pool. Der Strand ist in Sichtweite und durch die wunderschöne und liebevoll gepflegte Gartenanlage in einer Minute zu erreichen. Es gibt keine Liegen am Stand, dafür aber gemütliche Hängematten im Schatten. Das Restaurant "La Sala" können wir ebenfalls nur empfehlen. Das angebotene Frühstück bietet genügend Auswahl für jeden Geschmack. Zum Abendessen kann man aus traditioneller Thailändischen Küche und auch europäischen Speisen wählen. Alles wurde immer frisch zubereitet und war immer super lecker. Das Team vom Restaurant steht gern mit Empfehlungen und einem netten Gespräch zur Seite. 😄 Vor allem aber haben wir uns wegen der super netten Menschen hier so wohl gefühlt! Ryan und sein Team haben immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen, sind jederzeit für ein Gespräch da, geben Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurantempfehlungen im Ort, organisieren Roller, Taxis oder Bootstransfers. Alle sind mit Liebe und Leidenschaft dabei, dieses wundervolle Resort zu diesem besonderen Ort zu machen! Wir haben uns ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt und unsere Zeit sehr genossen!

This truly is a barefoot paradise destination. The location is on one of the best beaches, the thought given to the accommodation and facilities is excellent and the team are an absolute pleasure to deal with. Nothing was too difficult for them, from arranging taxis, tours and giving recommendations for dinner, etc. Ryan, George, Bea and Asma deserve special mention but the entire team went out of their way to be helpful and make our stay the absolute delight that it was. We had breakfast every day which was wonderful and had two dinners during our stay - the food was exceptional and amongst the best we had in Thailand.

Здесь было ощущение, будто весь мир существует только для нас. Очень уютная, атмосферная вилла, тишина, зелень и абсолютная гармония вокруг. Пляж — невероятный: кажется, что ты один, без толп, без суеты, только море, песок и природа. Персонал очень тёплый и искренний, а хозяин организовал всё идеально — трансферы, массажи, каждую деталь нашего отдыха. Настоящим волшебством стала поездка на приватной лодке к другим островам — это был один из самых красивых моментов всей поездки. Во время отлива с пляжа можно дойти пешком к другому берегу, и это добавило путешествию ощущение приключения и уникальности. Завтраки и ужины — отдельная радость: всё очень вкусно, свежо и с душой.

Не хотелось уезжать. Обязательно нужно будет приехать снова

Die Beach Bungalows sind geräumig mit zusätzlichem großen überdachten Außenbereich. Das Mobiliar ist außergewöhnlich und alles sehr gepflegt und sauber. Trotz fehlender Klimaanlage war es durch die offene Bauweise und die Ventilatoren jederzeit angenehm temperiert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und der Manager Ryan organisiert jede Anfrage professionell. Das Essen im Restaurant ist etwas hochpreisiger, jedoch hervorragend. Der Strand ist traumhaft, wobei die Gezeiten ziemlich stark sind. Aufgrund der abgelegenen Lage ist ein Scooter von Vorteil, um die schöne Insel zu erkunden.

Beautiful, peaceful, very clean villa. Loved the bedrooms with AC and open air living room/kitchen. The private pool was fantastic - so was the beautiful beach. Great to be able to kayak right from it. The restaurant was amazing. The staff was gracious and helpful. Scooter rental next door was super easy. This was a perfect spot for our family of 4 to chill and enjoy Koh Yao Noi.

It was a stunning layout and very aesthetic, the beach is on is beautiful and staff were nice.

There are no walls! Or ceiling! And the bathroom is totally outside. During the day it’s ok but at night it felt really stressful to be exposed to the bugs and mosquitos when not in the mosquito netted bed

The hotel is very nice and the room was incredibly big! The staff was super helpful and extremely nice. They helped us organize our arrival and departure from the island. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was delicious. The hotel is a perfect getaway from Bangkok to get some rest and enjoy Koh Yao Noi.

La villa (noi soggiornavamo nella Yanat) è meravigliosa, pulitissima e immersa nel verde, con una piscina stupenda. Si trova a circa 300 metri dal ristorante dove abbiamo cenato e fatto colazione. Ryan è stato, fin da prima del nostro arrivo, sempre disponibile a qualsiasi richiesta, e anche durante il nostro soggiorno è stato gentilissimo, aiutandoci per ogni nostro bisogno. La spiaggia a cui si accede dal resort è un piccolo angolo di paradiso.

We had the Villa Kirana with own pool, it felt like we had two villas as each room was in a separate building. 2 minutes walk to the beach. Great hosts, Ryan and his team were just outstanding and had a solution to every query. It was all just perfect, the restaurant and its outstanding food, the cleaning team, the office team and of course the location. Quiet, away from the mass tourism.

This place is an absolute paradise, and I can honestly and truly say that in all the years we have been travelling, Ryan is the host with the most. Ages before we travelled, he connected with us and communicated constantly. He was there waiting for our arrival, and he and his staff are absolutely brilliant. There was nothing you could not ask of Ryan, and he delivered consistently, efficiently and wonderfully. I cannot rate him and this beautiful place to stay highly enough.

Absolute heaven from start to finish, it felt like we were on our own little island. We stayed in the mai pai villa and it was even more beautiful in person. Special shout out to Ryan who was there to organise anything we needed immediately and the wait staff at the restaurant - the food was amazing. Literally couldn’t fault it.

The hotel was very clean and offered excellent, well-maintained rooms. The pool areas were spacious, and sunbeds were always available. The beach, bay, and sea were absolutely beautiful — perfect for snorkeling, and the hotel even provides snorkeling equipment. The food was delicious with a wide variety to choose from.

Lovely small resort. The food at the restaurant was exceptional. The owners and staff were all very helpful and friendly. A perfect place to relax.

Location a little isolated but added to the peace and quiet and real Thailand experience. Food very good. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. Staff could not have done more. A bit pricier than expected but note that this is an island with limited options. The beach was amazing with perfect views of the Bay. Could not get enough of it.

Noise of sicadas and insects one night kept my friend awake for most of it! There is a bit of a smell in the kitchen when the doors are kept closed but quickly dissapates when they are kept open.

The whole place was excellent including the owners George and Bee. There is an issue with low tide exposing rocks, etc. but working with the supplied tide tables no issue at all.

I loved the service from Ryan! Anything we needed, we’d just message him and he’d organise it. I love The tranquil nature of the accomodation. It’s beautiful and peaceful. The island doesn’t have much in the way of transport but the accomodation will organise anything you need - which was incredibly helpful. The restaurant was wonderful as well.

Mai Cottage is partially open roofed which we didn’t realise. The bed has a fully enclosed mosquito net and fans. It was stunning and added to the real island, tranquil experience but just mentioning so travellers can be prepared with mosquito repellent.

The beach is right in front, beautiful sunrise. The room is so nice and comfortable and beautiful. The outside living room is just wonderful. The pool is perfect. Hornbills in the garden. Food and cocktails are excellent. Perfect place, people, everything.

It's not a resort at all. No Ac, you are in a garden with bees and ants and nature all around. So if you fear insects and need your AC this is not the right place. But for us it was heaven.

We really enjoyed our stay! We stayed in a beautiful villa with two independent suites with air conditioning, an open living room, and a pool shared with another villa – everything very well maintained and cared for, with lovely décor and always spotless. The beds and linens were super comfortable. The owner, George, and the host, Ryan, were very friendly and always available to help. The property is located on a private beach and offers kayaks – we went on a long trip to the neighboring cove and to a small island in front! The food was delicious, and all the staff were super friendly. Just a note that some villas (like ours) are about a short 10-minute walk from the private beach and dining area :) We were sorry to stay only 2 nights – we would have stayed at least a week! Thank you.

The property is a serene oasis butt up right on the beach, scattered with tropical plants and trees, making the space feel secluded yet nourishing and absolutely stunning. The architecture of the beach villas are so beautiful- each one having their own gazebo type patio as well. So much seating and places to relax. Just upon our arrival, my partner and I took a much needed nap in the hammocks after traveling. It was the most relaxed we’ve been in a while! This place is incredible on so many levels, from the outstanding food, the pools and beach access, the grounds, and down to the level of attention and care from the staff. They really care here! We had awesome conversations with Asma (such a sweet and friendly woman!), Bee at the front desk was so friendly and helpful, as well as Ryan, always there to offer his support to make sure our stay on Koh Yao Noi was memorable. They went above and beyond to meet some accommodations that I needed mid stay too. Just in awe of this place. Travis and I will be back as soon as we can- even though we’re across the world 😉

Koyao Bay Pavilions is a beautiful and serene place to get back to nature. We stayed in the Taara Villa, which has an outdoor kitchen and living room encouraging us to spend more time outdoors, listening to the sounds of nature. The outdoor area has multiple large fans to stay cool and keep mosquitos away. The front yard of the villa is beautiful with trees, flowers, small ponds, and a large pool. The villa is a short walk to the beach, and also close to a local grocery store if you'd like to purchase fresh fruits etc. The beach was nearly empty every single day, and there are multiple hammocks in the shade that you can sit in and read for hours. The views of the Phang Nga Bay are incredible, and I highly recommend waking up for a few sunrises. Keep in mind that the water around Koh Yao Noi is not going to be the crystal clear water you might find at other islands in Thailand, however you can easily take day trips to places with clearer water. One day I took a long walk along almost the entire east coast of the island, and when I passed beach after beach, I saw very few people. We go to Thailand often, and this is the least crowded, and one of the most calm islands we have visited - we were there in April. At the same time, there is plenty to do if you'd like to such as short trips to nearby islands, bike rides, visits to farms and more. Bee, George, Ryan and the entire staff are so helpful, and we would definitely go back again and stay at Koyao Bay Pavilions.

Our stay was very well accommodated and we felt very cared for. The breakfast included and the restaurant are definitely the best we had on the island. We used the kayaks, rented bikes and scooters to adventure around the island, and booked a boat tour through the hotel. This was the retreat we wanted for our honeymoon.

We traveled in the hottest month of the year, so we probably could have been slightly more comfortable if we had chosen the room with air conditioning and closed walls to reduce our interactions with wildlife. The property and island were lovely and we embraced the heat and nature!

Lovely, quiet place, tucked away in beautiful nature. Beach is empty and quiet with some hammocks that make you feel like you found paradise. The restaurant serves delicious dishes.

Well, hard to say, if anything the pool water temperature was too hot to eventually cool off but that was during hot season. Kids still loved it.

The property is beach front. Although, our villa was not exactly beach front but barely a short five minute walk away. Villa was neat, clean, spacious and aesthetically maintained. The pool was shared with another Villa but was quite big. Outside sitting was also very comfortable. Ryan very promptly guided about scooter rental, things to do on the island, attractions, ATM, boat tours. Their La Sala restaurant is one of the best places to eat on the island and really serve good food. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The living accommodation (beach pavilion) was spacious and exquisitely designed. We came for quiet and rest and that is exactly what we got. We loved the food and ate most of our meals at their restaurant. The staff were attentive when we needed but not overbearing. The office team went out of their way to help us when we needed them.

We had a great time in this hotel were hospitality is key. The staff is very kind, very professional. It feels like home. Location is great with direct access to the beach. Cherry on the cake : food is absolutely delicious with a menu that made everyone happy in the family.

We liked it all, the villa is absolutely astonishing, beautiful architecture, lots of nice details that makes you feel home and great pool and garden with loads of plants flowers etc. This boutique hotel and villas are a gem hidden in a beautiful island away from the mass tourism and crowds. The owners and the GM are super nice, very helpful and supportive to make your stay memorable. It was the highlight of our whole stay in Thailand and I deeply regret I didnt know it in advance to have stayed a bit longer. The property has a private access to the beach with a amazing view on the archipelagos and Ko Nok, its more wild and different as the tides goes up ans down, as other places in Thailand, but definitely my favorite place so far amongst all the Island we have visited over the years. It’s a huge coup de coeur for us for the restaurant, the food is amazing and it was the only time in Thailand I had so much exceptional traditional thai food, superb curry’s and other recipes, portions are big and the staff is super kind and provide a high quality of service like service a la francaise. He breakfast are great, delicious thai omelette or other a la carte juice and continental dishes. Asma and her colleagues are lovely and I truly enjoyed spending time at the restaurant speaking with them, thank you! The villa was just perfect, so confortable and very well designed and maintained; housekeeping is great; and finally we have done all our excursions and tour with Ryan and it was just great, taxi tour around the island, boat trip in the archipelagos, lovely driver and sailors. All great!!!! Thank you!!!!!

Everything about Kayao Beach Pavilions was just perfection. The huge airy, elegant bedroom, the inside / outside bathroom and additional separate sala were just a delight. The Beach Pavilions have beautifully crafted shutter walls and the roof allows air to flow freely. We found this ideal and never once felt we needed air conditioning. The sea breeze and closeness to nature made the magic of the place and we wouldn't change a thing. The island is serene and we were welcomed and hosted by Ryan, George (the owner and architect) and Bee. Superb restaurant too. We look forward to returning.

We stayed in one of the three beach suites. The space was beautifully designed. The restaurant was the best food we ate on the island. George, his partner, and the whole staff were very accommodating and helpful. It’s a short walk down the beach (only at low tide) to a collection of restaurants and bars.

The beach isn’t great for swimming - only swimmable at high tide, and the water is very murky with sediment, but this seemed to be true of the whole island, not this beach in particular.

From the very start, Georges and the lovely team at Koyao Bay Pavilions were super helpful and amazing hosts. This resort is a hidden gem! The facilities are well maintained, the villas are gorgeous and very secluded and the beach is just metres away. The restaurant has a fantastic menu of Thai and French influenced dishes and the staff are friendly and professional. There are a variety of activities that can be easily organised through the resort. We chose to do a day sailing the islands in a long tail boat and with just 3 of us, it was perfect as we could choose our itinerary. Other boats we saw had up to 20 people or more. We highly recommend Koyao Bay Pavilions if you are looking for a beautiful private, peaceful and serene location.

George and Ryan, the managers treat us very well. very personalized service, help us to find activities in the island and help us with any kind of requests. Don't expect a super luxury resort, but the rooms were great and cleans. Breakfast and food very good as well. felt like travel in other ages. Very human.

Fantastic

The very private two-bedroom Villa Ingfah with our own pool was heavenly. Great internet connection for video meetings for remote work. Dinner at the on-site restaurant was excellent. Ryan arranged rental bikes for us which were dropped off right at our villa. We had fun biking around the small island, eating at places Ryan recommended — all great. Nice private beach a short walk from the villa; gentle waves, sandy bottom. The resort island is accessible via a scenic 30-minute speedboat trip from the east side of Phuket, and then a short taxi ride.

There's not much within walking distance of the property other than the beach, but bikes/taxis are easily arranged by the staff.
