It was what was expected

Bed was very hard and we woke up with sore backs

A lovely large room with a wonderful bath to relax in as well as a shower. A mini fridge which was very convenient to keep our drinks cold. We had a balcony which was shared with the room next door and looked out on a bit of the garden at the entrance and the carpark. The bed was big and comfortable and we also had a comfortable sofa. Both meals at dinner and breakfast were well prepared.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant does traditional Southern African dishes, everyone enjoyed their dinner and it was very well priced for the quantities, you do need to give the kitchen time to prepare the meals though.

If you use Google Maps to find the Lodge it takes you to the back entrance, make sure to stay on the tar road, you will see the entrance clearly.

Everything and everyone was excellent.

Very confidently located to see the falls. Staff were very accommodating.

Accommodation was better than I expected. (Spacious, comfortable and clean). Dinner was outstanding, nicest calamari I have had in a longtime. (Portion size too big however some people would appreciate that)

Assistance getting heavy bags up to room on first floor would have been appreciated.

A wonderfully comfortable and historic lodge, full of character and charm. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and well equipped, making it a great base for exploring the area. We particularly enjoyed spending an evening in the hotel bar, chatting with some of the local farmers and getting a real feel for the community and the area. The food was excellent too, whether you choose to eat casually in the bar or opt for the more formal restaurant. The location is also hard to beat — just a three-minute drive from the spectacular Augrabies Falls. A great place to stay, with plenty of character, friendly hospitality, good food and an unbeatable location for visiting the falls. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Hot water tap broke, the team was super kind and sorted it out, left a tool for us to use the next morning. The double bed was super squeeky and quite hard.

The water was constantly hot which was absolutely amazing, the pressure in the shower 🚿 was also good. The food, especially the beef burger was out of this world. Absolutely a must dry in the restaurant. The restaurant staff was really nice. There was a bar downstairs but we couldn't hear the noise from our room which was awesome.

We were a group of 6 women and had to share 1 bathroom. It is tricky when you have to wake up earlier so we all able to shower before the time to leave. The sofa width are not so comfortable to sit on, especially for 6 people.

Wir hatten ein geräumiges Zimmer mit bequemen Betten. Das Abendesses im dazugehörigen Restaurant war sehr gut, Die Lodge liegt ideal am Eingang zum Augrabies NP.

Apartment was big and roomy with an internal barbecue facility. Kitchen had nearly everything required except perhaps some plastic containers. Was well located to Augrabies Falls and reasonably priced.

Television was very small. Bathroom was overall fine but you had to be careful as the water was exceptionally hot. Shower head set a bit on the low side for taller people. Bed a double bed smaller than we like and not what we are used to.

We enjoyed the whole experience

Our room was not directly next to any other room. Aircon.

Muita coisa. Pelo preço esparávamos algo melhor. A manutenção do prédio deixa a desejar. O ar-condicionado do nosso quarto estava sem a aleta que direciona o ar. Joga o ar direto sobre as camas. Tivemos que mudar as camas para sair da direção do ar. O reservatório de água é exposto ao sol e, sob uma temperatura de 42 graus, a água nas torneiras sai "fervendo", Impossível duchar-se ou mesmo lavar as mãos. O restaurante fecha às 14h. Chegamos às 13:45, fizemos o pedido e nos mandaram comer no bar. Um lugar desconfortável para comer-se. Pedimos uma carne bem passada e veio ao ponto - mal. O bar fecha às 18h, justo quando apetece uma cervejinha. Detalhe: não há nada por perto. O comércio mais próximo está a 30 km.

Die Unterkunft ist etwa 5 km vom Nationalpark entfernt. Ein tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber ist einfach spitze. Am Sonntag war das Restaurant geschlossen, und man bot uns an, entweder im Park essen zu gehen, das würden sie organisieren oder ein Brai zu machen, das würden sie auch alles organisieren, wir müssten bloß sagen, was wir alles wollen. Das taten wir hat alles super geklappt. Das Restaurant ist ausgesprochen gut . Diese Lodge ist sehr empfehlenswert. wir kommen gerne wieder. Jetzt gibt es noch ein Klagen auf höchstem Niveau: die Lodge hat leider keinen Pool.

Unser Zimmer war groß, hell und hatte einen sehr schönen Balkon mit Blick auf Palmen. Die Betten waren bequem. Die Lage mit Palmengarten ist ansprechend.

Die Mitarbeiter/-innen, ob im Hotel, Bar oder Restaurant, waren völlig desinteressiert und hart an der Grenze zu unfreundlich. Ich kann die erfreuten Rezensionen anderer Bewertungen überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Das Abendessen war allenfalls passabel, der Service sehr langsam. Morgens(9:00) war man überrascht, als wir frühstücken wollten. Nichts war vorbereitet und 3 Mitarbeiter waren bei lauter Musik beim Tische Umräumen. Schade.

No pool and no refrigerator in some rooms. The weather is exceptionally warm in the area.

La qualité des lits est excellente, exceptionnelle ! Le bâtiment principal propose des chambres extraordinairement grandes à l'étage, dans une ambiance "Agatha Christie". Les bâtiments arrières proposent des chambres modernes en rez-de-chaussée donnant sur le joli jardin. Le bar est très chouette... A noter aussi, la proximité avec les Augrabies Falls !

L'absence d'ascenseur. On aurait aussi apprécié une petite piscine, car il faisait 39°C ce jour-là.

On the advertisement it looked like it was in the Augrabies Falls grounds, which is not the case.

Good location, the pub and restaurant serve good drinks and food, staff was very friendly. Restaurant was closed on Sunday but the booked us a table at the restaurant directly at the waterfalls, what was great.

The a/c should be checked there is a part missing to control the air flow.

Everthing! The staff were awesome. Real stunning accommodation. Many variety of type rooms. Very comfortable, with close access to local shops and liquor store (Walking distance). 15min away from Augrabies Falls and nature reserve.
