Reviewed Aug 19, 2026Une magnifique découverte, un véritable petit paradis. L’établissement est élégant et raffiné, tout en gardant une atmosphère familiale, chaleureuse et sans aucune ostentation. On s’y sent accueilli avec beaucoup de naturel, comme dans une grande maison de famille. La cuisine est vraiment excellente. Les poissons, notamment, sont d’une grande fraîcheur, avec des produits issus de la pêche du jour. Tout est très bien préparé et vraiment remarquable gustativement. Le petit déjeuner est également très copieux, avec un choix sucré et salé, chaud ou froid, et toujours de très bons produits. Et, compte tenu de la qualité, les prix restent très raisonnables. J’ai également beaucoup apprécié les différents salons, où l’on peut prendre un repas ou simplement profiter d’un moment de musique intimiste. Le concert de harpe a été un moment particulièrement apaisant. Le personnel est attentif, discret et d’une grande gentillesse. Les jardins sont magnifiques, la mer est juste à côté, et l’ensemble dégage un charme un peu hors du temps. Une expérience qui m’a beaucoup touchée. Je recommande vivement cet établissement et j’aurais grand plaisir à y revenir.

Reviewed May 17, 2026Tolle Lage in der Bucht. Es war etwas teuer, ist aber ein 4☆☆☆☆ Resort. Sehr gepflegt und alles, was man für den Preis erwarten darf. Tolles Frühstück. Auch zum Diner haben wir exzrem gut gegessen.

Reviewed May 14, 2026Absolument parfait et au delà de mes attentes. L'endroit est fou, tout au bout d'une petite route, contre l'ocean, une vieille bâtisse avec tout le charme de l'ancien. Un personnel au petit soin et très arrangeant. Un bar-restaurant très bon ou j'ai pu manger dans la véranda fleurrie et un petit déjeuner exceptionnel ! Le lit très confortable et la salle de bains et les équipements au top. Je ne peux que le recommander et si je reviens en Irlande, je referais le détour par ici Il est écrit à l'entrée, "you entry a no stress zone", je ne peux que confirmer que tout est mis en oeuvre pour cela Parfait !

Reviewed Nov 9, 2025Remote, wild location and charming character property. Magnificent breakfast, I had the plaice, lovely fresh fish delicately cooked. Plenty of rooms in which to sit with comfortable furniture, from sunny conservatory to warm by the fire.
Quite a drive to get there. We had dramatic light and glorious still conditions going in and rain heading back towards Galway, but it was November. Nothing much we didn’t like. Older demographic, probably not the place for young people looking for nightlife.

The gents toilet smelled really badly on passing. The ladies toilets are in need of improvement as the access is compromised with the positioning of the toilet roll holder. A pet dog was left alone in one of the rooms and barked all night. I felt concerned about it. Me and my husband enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, however we both felt unwell after eating on the night of our arrival. I couldn’t sleep that night nor be able to leave our room for most of the the following day.

The set menu in the restaurant doesn’t allow for those who do not want have it in a group, in a 5 course meal for €65 there was an exception made if you want 1 course for €35, seemed excessive. Bar food is available though for less formal meal.

Some parents of multiple young children allowed their children to tantrum and scream through breakfast. Of course this was not the hotel’s fault but it really made breakfast miserable for us.

It was unseasonably warm when we were there so the hotel was possibly not geared up to have fans in the bedrooms. Being able to actually open a window was a pleasant surprise and did the trick!

Reviewed May 7, 2025The hotel is at the sea end of a long drive where you can leave stress behind. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens , the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. My single room was spacious with a beautiful bathroom, spotless and with an amazing view. The outdoor heated pool was a bonus in the glorious weather. Food was of an excellent standard. There were numerous places to sit by the fire or overlooking the garden. A real gem.

Reviewed Nov 25, 2024My Mam and I came for a night for my Birthday and we had a wonderful time. The outdoor pool and hot tub was amazing. Dinner was exceptional. We spent a cosy night int he bar with an open fire and slept so very well. Then started our next day with a delicious breakfast. I could not fault the place in the slightest.
That I had to leave, my stay was far to short but I will definitely be back again :)
