El lugar es mágico. Las cabañitas son preciosas, la piscina es una pasada y el lugar es impresionante. Tanto Sergio como el resto del personal son muy agradables y simpáticos. La cena es imprescindible, estaba riquísima. Espero volver pronto.

Nos encanto la piscina y sus vistas privilegiadas a un paisaje unico. El desayuno fue maravilloso. Te hace sentir el Valle al 100%. El chef Will fue muy cercano y atento con nosotras.

El contacto con el alojamiento fue difícil y no siempre hay personal alli que te pueda ayudar.

La atencion de Sergio es fenomenal y las instalaciones son muy bonitas, la piscina es impresionante

Es muss jedem klar sein, dass er ein vollkommenes offenes Dschungel Hotel gebucht hat. Ein Erlebnis der besonderen Art und dafür sicher und gut ausgestattet.

Der Pool hat eine außergewöhnliche Lage und ist beeindruckend. Allerdings in die Jahre gekommener Betonbau, mit nicht ansprechender Vol Umgebung.

El hotel es precioso, totalmente integrado en el medio y super acogedor.el personal super amable. El desayuno casero variado y muy rico y la cena, que se paga aparte casera y de calidad. La piscina tiene unas vistas increíbles. Se agradece que ponen todas las facilidades para guardarte comida/bebida y estar relajado en las zonas comunes.

La zona de la piscina, aunque con muy buenas vistas estaba algo descuidada, nos dieron que estaban trabajando en ello. La carretera para llegar está en mal estado, recomendamos no cogerla por la noche. Tuvimos que avisar para que limpiaran la habitación ya que la primera noche no la limpiaron. Algunos detalles sueltos que se pueden mejorar pero creo que están en ello.

Das Hotel hatte keinen Funktionierende Ersatzstromversorgung. Durch mehrfachen Stromausfall, war die Nacht nicht angenehm. Dadurch das ewig Licht aus war und der Ventilator ohne Funktion war, war die wärme beim schlafen unangenehm. Des weiteren, wenn kein Ventilator funktioniert, hat man auch extreme Probleme mit Moskitos. Man wird regelrecht ausgesaugt. Der Vorhandene Pool war auf dem Dach einen Rohbaus eines weitere Gebäudes. Der Boden war ohne Fliesen, purer Beton und dreckig. Füße sind nach zwei Schritten komplett schwarz. Abstoßend und nicht einladend zum Entspannen. Dachterrasse mit Pool für Kinder komplett ungeeignet. Unsicher. Das Hotel hat potenzial, aber erst bei Fertigstellung. Das einzige was sehr schön ist, ist die Naturerlebnisse und die Lage an einem schönen Strand. Der Strand ist aber nicht zu unterschätzen, denn der kann sehr gefährlich werden. Hier kann man die brutale Gewalt des Meeres erleben. Aber wenn das Meer ruhig ist, kann es ein schönes Stranderlebnis werden. Der allgemeine Aufenthaltsbereich vom Hotel war sehr schön und gemütlich. Das Personal war auch sehr freundlich. Die Lage des Hotels sollte auch nicht unterschätzt werden. Straßenverhältnisse sind Katastrophal. Keine Apotheke oder Arzt in der nähe. Internet und Mobiles Netz auch nicht vorhanden. Einzige Möglichkeit, wenn Strom vorhanden ist, Internet über Hotel eigenes Internet. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis des Hotels passt absolut nicht. Extrem Überteuert für das was geboten wird.

Brava la ragazza che ha preparato la colazione.. E l'area cucina a vista, che ti da quel tocco di dialogo e convivialità.

La piscina era inagibile, sporca da settimane e tutta l'area circostante sporca con bottiglie di vetro e legni, come se fosse abbandonata al decadimento. La camera pitturata male con vernice da muro sul pavimento. La doccia vecchia ed arruginita. Senza vetri o modi per chiusure la finestra, bell'idea peccato che alle 6 del mattino passano a tutta velocita i motorini fuori, e non dormi piu. Pagato 100€ ma ne valeva molti molti meno

El lugar tiene buena ubicación, cerca de la playa, Andrea fue muy amable con nosotros, la habitación estuvo limpia, y el desayuno fue agradable.

Elegí una cama matrimonial, ( y fue dos cama pegadas) por lo que la división de ambas camas molestaba, la piscina hay que darle un mejor mantenimiento y las habitaciones se escucha los sonidos de los vehículos ( por lo que no está tan retirada de la calle).

The hotel is literally made in the nature/jungle. It is only 2 minutes drive from the beach. Rooms are like treehouses and you get this feeling of staying in the jungle and not in a hotel.

Someone should have advised us from before that the last part of the road to reach the retreat is totally damaged. You have to drive in this road for 25 minutes and there is a great chance to destroy the car if it is not a 4×4. Also, when I discussed with the staff while being there, they informed me that in case of heavy rain for more that 2-3 days there is a chance of flood in the road that means you stay trapped in the hotel (whatever the cost = in case you have a flight for example). During our stay we had very bad and slow communication with the staff through WhatsApp. Dinner=you have no choice, it is on the chefs appetite. We had lasagna which is a heavy and winter food, while it was fully hot and humid. Room is not clean at all, I found hair in the wall of the bathroom. The swimming pool has amazing view but it seems super dirty, as the area around the swimming pool needs maintenance ASAP. Alive cockroaches in my bed 🤢. Electricity is shutting down all the time! More than 5 times per day (they don't have a generator!!!). During our last night, in the bar of the hotel we met the owner of the hotel along with 2 of his friends and 1-2 people of the staff. They got prepared and went to the swimming pool area to do a ritual-ceremony with some crazy stuff like a frog poison from the Amazon river. They were so excited describing it to us. In this way they prevented us from going to the swimming pool which is a shared space of the hotel that I have paid for. Very amateur behavior.

Hotel is not finished, and for the price paid, it should be in a better situation. Pool area feels kind of abandoned, with some work it can be amazing, but not now. Rooms do not have windows.

El camino al lugar en algunas areas esta un poco incomodo, pero esto no depende del lugar.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. It’s in such a beautiful location, - surrounded by jungle and a short walk to the beach and some restaurants in the village. Thank you for an amazing couple of days!

El sitio está bien, y el personal es muy agradable. Sin embargo calidad precio, me parece que deja bastante que desear. Los cuartos y el baño no son nada del otro mundo, pagas más el entorno.. destacar que el personal de la cocina no es muy agradable. Sin embargo los chicos que te reciben, son un amor. No obstante, creo que tiene muchas cosas que mejorar

Die Lage mitten in der Natur ist dein Traum. Das Personal ist nett und das Essen wunderbar! Die Aussicht ist in jeder Hinsicht eine 10/10 und auch der Strand ist fußläufig erreichbar. Der perfekte Ort zum abschalten!

Wir haben zu dritt 4 Nächte im Zaria geschlafen. Wir wurden von Andrea sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Personal war nett und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft war sauber und geräumig. Wir haben an zwei Abenden das 3-Gänge-Dinner bestellt. Das Dinner war aussergewöhnlich gut. Die Cocktails haben geschmeckt. Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen. Danke!

Der Poolbereich sah ein bißchen wie eine Baustelle aus. Sonst war alles in Ordnung.

Tolle Aussicht vom Pool trotz ungepflegter Facilities, Gartenanlage, Lage im Dschungel und zum Strand, süße Katze, netter Loungebereich

Zimmerausstattung sehr heruntergekommen und teils kaputt (alte Matratzen, löchrige und fleckige Moskitonetze/Vorhänge, Nachttischlampe bestand nur aus einem losen Kabel ohne Licht, Balkontisch verrostet, Bad-Armaturen sehr verkalkt, Schimmel ect), sehr renovierungsbedürftig, sehr laut (direkt an der befahrenen Straße ohne Fenster), allgemein eher Baustellen-Feeling und Hostel-Niveau - dafür viel zu teuer… sehr schade, Anlage hätte viel Potenzial

As explained by the managers, the hotel is currently under renovation, which was felt during our stay. The bathroom was in a very poor state, and installations were outdated/nonexistent. The water of the swimming pool was blurry and the swimming pool is much smaller than on the pictures. I think the hotel will be awesome after renovation, but we were disappointed not to have been informed before and the price is high for a hotel in renovation.

Die Zimmer eher Standard besonders, leider sehr hellhörig. Die Anlage ist nicht fertig, teilweise wirkt sie wie ein verlassener Lost Place. So schade dass hier das Potenzial besonders im Poolbereich nicht genutzt wird. Nur eine Liege dort, 70% der Lampen defekt , …. Alles etwas zu teuer für den Zustand

No nos gustó ni el desayuno ni la cena. No era saludable ni orgánico y fue muy distinto a los gustos que informamos que teníamos en la reservación

No nos gustó la habitación, la cama era muy incómoda, las habitaciones eran muy pegadas una de la otra y se escucha todo (no hay privacidad en ese sentido), no hay vista bonita desde la habitación, solo hojas y matorrales casi pegados a la ventana, pero no se podía apreciar ninguna vista de naturaleza o paisaje… no nos gustó la cena (pan con pasta muy sazonada) y eso fue justo lo que indicamos que no comíamos, y el desayuno era pan y pancake (harina de nuevo), ya estábamos súper inflamados. No había higiene, el baño del restaurante estaba repleto de escrementos y eso me dio mucho asco ver eso justo después de desayunarme. 😔 No nos gustaron las atenciones. Quién nos recibió en el hotel me hacía preguntas personales como: si quien me acompañaba era mi esposo?!.. No le respondí. Eso no me pareció profesional ni ético. La piscina estaba sucia, no pudimos bañarnos por eso. No vale la pena el precio que se paga por la estadía. Tuvimos que irnos antes para que no se nos dañara el fin de semana completo después de un viaje tan largo. Fuimos a otro hotel cercano y ahí sí fue otro nivel.

È un vero paradiso immerso nella natura, perfetto per rilassarsi e staccare da tutto. Il cuoco cucina benissimo, abbiamo mangiato davvero molto bene durante tutto il soggiorno. Anche i ragazzi che ci hanno fatto il check-in e tutto lo staff sono stati molto carini, gentili e sempre cortesi con noi. L’atmosfera è tranquilla, accogliente e speciale. Lo consiglio assolutamente a tutti

Tot!! les instal·lacions són increïbles. El personal molt proper i amable, també molt professional. Molt confortable, dormir sentint el bosc és una experiència única. La piscina infinita és una passada, i en breu tindran també un jacuzzi. Habitació neta, llit ample i còmode i tot el que necessites per desconnectar. Molt bones excursions i el menjar a l'hotel és excelent. 100% recomanable!!

La carretera per accedir a l'hotel té trams que són una mica difícils de fer amb el cotxe. Són 2km aproximadament.

Wie eigentlich überall in der Dominikanischen Republik wird abends irgendwo in der Umgebung laut Musik gehört. Da wird die eigentlich schöne Idee der offenen Zimmer leider zum Nachteil, wenn man schlafen möchte. Da können die in der Unterkunft aber natürlich nichts dran machen.

The staff were incredible. It's a quick 10 min walk to the El Valle beach, which is excellent. The pool on the rooftop and the view from the pool were amazing as well. They were very accommodating to us -- let us store extra food we brought from our previous stay in their refrigerator. The food was a mixed bag. It was excellent on one of the nights and OK on another night. Breakfast has been very good on all mornings! We also hit the nearby gym (Leisy's Garden) which was free for Zaria's guests.

It's right on the main road to the beach and it gets noisy. One of the main reasons we went to Samana is because of its remoteness but the resort location is less than ideal. We heard loud music in the night and traffic (loud motor bikes) starting early in the morning. The rooms also don't have any windows, so we couldn't keep the bugs or the noise out. The mosquito nets are not sufficient, they had a few large holes in them. We didn't report this to the staff but I hope they will replace the netting.

Hotel hat ein sehr Innovatives/besonderes Konzept mit einem schönen. Strand war phänomenal, eher was für Schwimmer, da größere Wellen, aber man hat seine völlige Ruhe mit wenigen Menschen. Wir haben einen ganzen Vormittag alleine dort verbracht und entspannt. Pool Area mit einer sehr sehr schönen Aussicht und die Anlage allgemein sehr grün und die Jungle Vibes sind top! Essen wird vor den Augen vorbereitet und hat uns sehr gut gefallen, auch das Personal super zuvorkommend. Vor allem Sergio der Manager war sehr bestrebt, dass alles passt.

Man muss sich bewusst sein, dass man recht gebunden ist an das Hotel, nicht viele Restaurants in der Gegend wo man ganz entspannt hingehen würde, außer am Strand. Dieser hat ca. einen Fußweg von 15 Minuten. Es gibt Ausflugtechnisch viel zu tun, allerdings kosten diese recht viel, werden aber ganz bequem vom Hotel organisiert. Anlage allgemein schön und in der Zukunft denke ich noch besser ausgebaut, allerdings alles noch etwas im Anfang Stadium. Hat etwas Hostel Charakter, aber dennoch privat. Um mit Karte etc. zu zahlen muss man 10% mehr Zahlen. Eher ein hochwertiges Hostel, was im Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht passt.

Everything about the stay was on point. Exceptional view from the pool, beautiful beach 5 minutes away, very nice rooms -makes you feel like you re in a treehouse. We’ll be back for sure!!

The tranquility, simplicity and contact with nature, outside of the urban environment

The staff was incredibly kind and the property was breathtaking! I would highly recommend to stay here! The location is also close to the most beautiful beach I have seen in my life: playa ermitaño. Can’t recommend enough!

The staff was incredibly warm, accommodating, and friendly. They always responded promptly and provided excellent customer service. The area was secluded, not many restaurants nearby, but we enjoyed the easy drive and walk to the beach. Breakfast was delicious, with pancakes, bread, bacon, fresh fruit, and eggs. The view from the top of the hotel was amazing. The property was always clean, including the walkways and bathrooms, and it was beautifully set in the jungle. Our room was stunning, and we loved having a little balcony to relax on.

One thing to note: the roads in El Valle definitely need reconstruction and work. Although this isn’t an issue with the hotel itself, better roads would make getting there much easier and more accessible. Also, it would be nice to have warm or hot water available in the showers.

It is close to the beach, dinners were delicious, and the hotel has a charming vibe.

If it is raining, it is hard to move one place to the other (e.g., from bedroom to dinning room or common room) without getting completely wet. They don’t use regular payment methods you will have to bring cash or they will add 5-10% (on top of taxes) which was an unexpected expense.

The chef is exceptional, delivering a diverse selection of expertly prepared meals, complemented by fresh fruits, pure juices, and vibrant vegetables. The hospitality is outstanding, reflecting a deep-rooted warmth and generosity that define the local community. The surrounding natural environment, with its lush jungle ambiance, adds to the immersive and enriching experience.

Parts of the hotel is being renovated for improvements. I can’t wait to experience the results.

Keep in mind that the area tends to be quite humid, making it challenging to dry your bathing clothes after rinsing them. Occasionally, there are brief power outages, but we found this to be no issue at all; in fact, it was ideal for fully immersing ourselves in nature.

The two most important things in a hotel they have right: the atmosphere and the staff. As people have said, the staff is incredible. They are all super kind, friendly, interesting people that go out of their way to do anything to make sure you have a great stay. The surroundings and location are very magical. The room was a good size.

The hotel is under new management and I think they are planning a renovation of the property in the future, so once that is complete I am sure this place will be spectacular. The place just overall needs some love and attention. Simple fixes like improved bedding, upgraded bathrooms, shades for the windows, etc. would just make this place a lot better. For example, they have what could be a spectacular pool and patio at the top of the proerty, but there was just two lawn chairs sitting there and nothing else. The pool seemed very dirty with two side pools with sitting water. Place is really in the middle of nowhere so would be good if the kitchen had some snacks available or something during the day. Again, slight improvements will make this place incredible.

Room was nice, with a view on the nature, and the bed was comfy. The hotel is immerse in the nature and the setting is very quiet and relaxing. The staff is friendly. There is a nice, not too crowded, beach just a few minutes walking.

We were expecting more of a real retreat center, with activities and classes, but we didn't find any of it. They also had a problem with the swimming pool and it was not accessible while we were there. The place is expensive compared to what it offers and other options in DR. If you are planning to drive, be mindful that the road to get there is bumpy!

Loved the setting, common areas and rooms. The hotel is set in an incredible place, with lots of effort to make it a special stay. Having dinner there is great. Staff is fantastic.

Did not like the beds, which were very soft. Had a “queen bed” but was really two single mattresses, which made it uncomfortable. There are some areas that could be amazing but looked abandoned. Our biggest “but” was that rooms are close to the road, with periodic noisy bikes that ruined the experience of being surrounded by nature.

The place is beautiful and well located, very close to the beach with lots of lovely local areas to discover - perfect for a nature break to relax and recharge. The view is amazing, everything was perfectly clean, and the entire staff team was highly helpful, friendly and welcoming! Highly recommend.

Everything was perfect and we were so well received by the staff. Anyone needs to try this beautiful and relaxing Hotel. I hope I will be able to come back there.

Andrea and Sergio went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Will was a great cook and everything he made was delicious. The staff was the best part of Zaria with the pool views and the gardens being a close second. Dining area and Living room was nice, and the Wifi worked great.

The price was REALLY NOT worth it for the experience. The general infrastructure was rustic at best, the rooms were poorly constructed, had no windows and no isolation at all from temperature, bugs (spiders, mosquitoes), and noise. Every room (even the "deluxe" one offered as compensation) were little more than a hut. No windows made for an amazing entry for humidity, terrible morning noise, and a swarm of mosquitoes that made us their lunch for 3 days straight. Beds had mosquito nets that were filled with holes so they werent much help, and the staff provides mosquito incense that helped a bit, but didnt prevent the problem and felt more like a patch solution. There was no AC and ceiling fans didnt help at all with heat. Several parts of the hotel looked abandoned, like the pool area and the path to rooms 5 and 10 were there was equipment just strewn around. Breakfast was very Americanized (not local) and very limited in choices. We had dinner one night only to realize that $25 were just chips with hummus, a burrito and a brownie. It did taste great, but wasnt worth $25. Didnt have it again after that. Problems are all clearly owner related, more investment is needed to improve the rooms experience and match the price charged.

This was the best place we stayed in DR. Andrea and Sergio always made us feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. The view from the pool is stunning! Big shout out to Willy, best food I had in the country! So so good. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Authentic place in the middle of the nature, the room is very comfortable and what makes it awesome it’s to hear the living nature. The infinity pool it’s another thing with those views. The staff is amazing and highly recommend to visit Federico’s farm with Jonni the guide.

Idyllic stay in this lodge surrounded by the jungle. Great location (10min walk to the beach), very friendly staff, zen and chilling atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the open kitchen area and the terrasse view.

An amazing little find in El Valle - perfect relaxing location where we were made to feel right at home. The hosts and owners were extremely accommodating, giving us tips about where to explore and organising excursions if we wished. The food is excellent - lots of options at breakfast, including fresh fruit, avocado, eggs and french toast. Dinner is a three course meal and they take dietary requirements into consideration. The walk to the beach is about 10 mins and is one of the best beaches we have been to so far. Would highly recommend staying here, especially as they plan to continue to upgrade and expand!

One of those rare authentic places located in the middle of the jungle with stunning views and unique atmosphere! Super friendly stuff, healthy and tasty food, specious and very clean room. Perfect place to relax!

Absolutely stunning! Loved every minute of my stay. The staff treats you like you're family, the food is incredible and the rooms are the perfect combination of jungle and luxury (the beds are super comfy). The terrasse with the infinity pool, with jungle and ocean view, is the perfect place for some morning quiet or a nice gathering in the evening. The beach is only a short walking distance away, and there is a lot of jungle, beaches and nature to explore around. I definitely recommend staying there!!!

Peaceful atmosphere, great location makes you feel living in the jungle between all those palm tress and bamboo houses, walking distance to the closest beach, lovely people. Big thanks for Chris and his family making us feel like at home, Igor for being best guide and Willy for unbelievable food!

The road to El Vaye is still very local and super unexpectable so getting there in darkness is very challenging.

Wonderful environment and a perfect place to relax. Very friendly, kind and helpful staff make you feel at home. Food is delicious. I highly recommend this hotel.
