i booked 2rooms. 1 of it got toilet clogged.they not fixed it until we check out

Nice room with good facilities in the old town. Joey was a characterful host and very helpful and entertaining.

Hot water could be a little slow in the morning

They were nice and let us pay daily which saved Alipay transaction fees. The room was very nice, and included air conditioning which did come in slightly useful. The best stay during our trip to Yunnan province.

Unfortunately I only stayed one night at this place but it’s a beautiful guest house in Lijiang Old Town. The most outstanding thing to me is the staff. They helped me to book transport to Tiger leaping gorge with different requirements that I had and even followed up with me on the transport after I checked out. Excellent service!! :)

The owner is very nice and helpful. He help us arrange our trip to jade snow dragon mountain with local agent.

The location is great! It is just on the outskirts of old town, so you have the convenience of only walking about 15 mins into the centre, but it is also quiet for your downtime. There are lots of good choices for restaurants on the street just out the front of the hotel so you don’t have to walk far for a meal, either. The room was great. A firm mattress (as with most accommodation in China) but that did us fine. We also booked a room with a bath which was an added bonus! We used the free self- service laundry service which was much needed! There was plenty of space to dry our clothes on the upstairs veranda as well. The staff were also super helpful organising our transfer from Dali, and then our transfer to the Tiger Leaping Gorge and onto Shangri-La. Overall, thanks for a great stay!

Very minor, but the shower was a bit slippery because the exhaust fan didn’t work so the water on the floor never dried. We have had this at a few accommodations in China.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They even send a staff to fetch us from the main road. The hotel provide the free laundry. The staff gave us the best advise to travel around the Lijiang old town.

Hotel staffs are very friendly and can speak English. They helped and guide us for halal eatery around the Old Town. They help to arrange for transportation to and from Lijiang Railway Station. They allowed us to keep baggage at their place after checkout, the room was clean. The place is at South Gate Lijiang Old Town.

Such a great stay! The hotel is great, good location and facilities. The real star is the incredibly helpful staff!! They are truly amazing in a way that will make your stay so wonderful and easy. They help you find the property very easily, come help you with your luggage at the edge of town, and are always available for any questions you might have about anything. They were a tremendous help in assisting me getting to the Tiger Leaping Gorge and on my way to Shangri-La. They were so sweet to keep checking up on me to make sure all went smoothly, I could find the driver and to make sure the driver knew exactly where to drop me off. Highly recommend.

My stay at GeGeHouse was amazing! I enjoyed it so much. It is run by incredibly lovely women who are welcoming, respectful and incredibly helpful. Pick up and drop off service was included. The rooms are nice and clean and very comfortable. The location is very convenient. The staff members also helped me a lot with booking hotels and train tickets to other cities which is so generous! Especially as a solo female traveler I felt very very safe there and this is all a girl could ask for. Can’t wait to come back!

Quick and easy communication with the host, very good price/value ratio (March), the place is clean, aesthetically pleasing with a beautiful inner garden, interior of the flat is beautiful. Full of restaurants around.

It’s amazing 🤩 The room is so clean, not dusty. The room has heater 🌟 Toiletries and towel provided The location is very good. It’s in the ancient street . A lot of food options around. The caretaker is very kind and helpful. The lady and guy is very good. The guy can speak English. We took the Snow mountain package from them. It’s quite cheap compared to others. They get us the tickets, transportation, oxygen cylinder, over coat and free lunch as well. It made our tour much smoother and relaxed. -no insects seen -no paranormal activity 😆

Bathroom configuration. The bathroom and wc was completely wet after shower and the hot water took very long time to heat up.

Mr. Casey was very helpful to us after booking the homestay. We ask for pick up at train station and JDSM/Shangrila tour bookings. Everything is managed by the guesthouse. The homestay is in Lijiang old town and the halal eateries are just a 5-minute walk away and close at 6pm. For dinner, please walk to the main road to the halal shop on the main road. From halal eateries the main road to the big water wheel has to walk for 15 minutes from the guesthouse. Thank you Mr Casey and team guesthouse.

Kereta tidak boleh masuk ke kawasan guesthouse, kena jalan kaki dr main road 5minit. Lampu homestay area hostel tiada pada waktu malam dan awal pagi...so sekiranya checkout awal kena dlm gelap..kalau trun tangga leceh sket.

Please note that this is a small, cosy hotel and can not be compared with all the facilities modern, high end hotels provide. The room was very clean and had good interior. The building is a kind of old fashioned courtyard which makes it very unique and nice. There are complementary water bottles and they provide pick up service for a fee. If you take a taxi to the nearest drop off point they can come and pick you up with a small transport scooter. Very convenient. Service minded staff: the staff is very good! They are super nice and proactive with communication. If you have WeChat they establish a group for communication. They did their utmost to cater for our needs. We felt very well cared for. They can also provide some travel ideas and assist with booking some tours. Location: the hotel is located right outside the old city of Lijiang. Very convenient for exploring the city and a nice neighbourhood. There are several restaurants in the vicinity and some small convenience stores.

We were very happy with our stay. It can be good to be aware that the hot water might vary a little, however we think this is quite normal.

The staff is very helpful and picked us up and transported our luggage. It is near with lijiang old town city centre . The room floor was warm,( got heat warmer) really great for winter, plus the staff did welcome us with tea . Evrything is great. They even ask for checkout time so they can help us with luggage. The owner and staff in this place are exceptional. We enjoy our room in the main building as it was very comfy and well equipped.

J'ai passé un super séjour à Gegehouse ! Tout était formidable ☺️ Joye et Cassie étaient aux petits soins pour m'aider à organiser mes visites, me donner des conseils et m'aider aussi pour la suite de mon voyage. L'accueil et la communication étaient excellents (tous deux parlent très bien anglais) et la chambre (avec baignoire ☺️) était juste parfaite ! Bref, je me suis vraiment sentie "à la maison" ici. Ils m'ont même invité à dîner avec eux pour mon dernier soir. Merci encore pour cet accueil chaleureux ! 🙏🏼

Position is great, in the Ancient Town, but far from the big crowd, which is excellent. Closeby is surrounded by food place, bedroom was clean and the right size, and host Cassie is super helpful with all the requests. Largely recommended!

A special thank you to Joye, who is an incredible and welcoming host. He was the only one during my entire trip in China who spoke fluent English, with a British accent to boot! Joye helped me plan my hikes and provided me with a wealth of excellent advice about visiting the sights I was interested in, as well as tips on saving money since I was traveling solo. Overall, this is a fantastic property and I highly recommend it!

非常舒服又干净的一间客栈， 很安静也很方便，下次去丽江绝对再去一次！

这家民宿就坐落在古城边上，进出古城那叫一个方便，溜达几分钟就到了。环境特别有雅致味儿，一进门玄关那儿还摆着茶桌，老板热心地邀请你尝尝地道的云南普洱。房间布置得挺有特色，干净又卫生，充电插头多得是，地暖更是给力，得点个赞！ 再来说说服务，老板和店员态度都超好，有啥问题他们都能及时帮你解决。镇里出租车不方便进，老板二话不说就开个小三轮帮你把行李拉进去。 总而言之，丽江因为有了这家民宿，成了我在云南这几天过得最惬意的地方！

第二次来到丽江这座充满魅力的古城，我依然选择了这家客栈作为我的休憩之所，两次入住的经历都让我倍感满意。房间不仅宽敞明亮，而且布置得极为舒适干净，每一处细节都透露出店家的用心与周到。客栈的院子更是别有洞天，静谧雅致，没有外界的喧嚣打扰，是一个绝佳的放松和休息场所。在这里，我可以暂时忘却尘世的烦恼，享受一段宁静而美好的时光。

这家客栈环境幽雅，装修独具匠心，吸引了许多客人长期驻足。遗憾的是，我因时间紧迫，仅能享受一个夜晚的宁静便匆匆离去。不过，住在这里确实出行便捷，周边遍布早餐店、餐馆及便利店等生活设施，步行几分钟即可抵达古城出口。我极力推荐此地给各位。
