Lijiang. This hotel has a distinctive Lijiang style and offers a very comfortable stay. The complimentary laundry service was and bonus! very convenient, and the staff were incredibly welcoming, providing us with great assistance in planning our trips and sightseeing itineraries.

Mandy was an incredible hostess, from the first messages ensuring we could find the property and offering to meet us to help with the luggage. The rooms were amazing, very comfortable and Mandy was there to answer any questions about the city and recommend travel tips. The Inn has the most peaceful aura, with a beautiful courtyard and two gorgeous dogs. The room itself was kept incredibly clean with everything needed. Despite being in such a central location you couldn’t hear the outside noises from inside the room making our stay peaceful I very much recommend staying here, in a Classic style inn to really experience the essence of Lijiang

The location is very strategic, right in the heart of Lijiang Old Town, making it very convenient to explore the area. The owner speaks English very well and was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary room upgrade after the owner noticed that we had quite a lot of luggage. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our stay even more comfortable. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality! We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Lijiang

Very kind, responsive owner who upgraded me to a family room for free. Her uncle kindly helped to transport my heavy bags and suitcase to and from the Old Town South Gate (~10 min walk), even in the rain. They truly went above and beyond. I highly recommend this inn. They also have the most gorgeous dogs!

Les équipements de la chambre sont en mauvais état : le système d'eau chaude est défaillant et nous avons dû nous laver à l'eau froide plusieurs fois. Les prises électriques sont mal fixées ce qui coupaient souvent le courant des appareils branchés car celle-ci tombe.

Extremely Disappointing and Irresponsible Service We were extremely disappointed with our experience at this hotel. When our family arrived, we were informed that our reservation had been cancelled, even though it was still shown as confirmed on Booking.com. The hotel claimed that they had sent us a message only six hours before our arrival and, because we did not respond, they decided to cancel our booking without receiving any confirmation from us. This left our family stranded and forced us to urgently find alternative accommodation upon arrival. To make matters worse, the staff were rude, unhelpful, and showed no sense of responsibility for the situation they had created. There was no sincere apology or proper assistance offered. A confirmed reservation should not be cancelled simply because a guest does not respond to a last-minute message, especially when the booking platform still shows it as confirmed. This level of service is completely unacceptable. Please think carefully before booking this hotel. Do not let an irresponsible hotel ruin your family trip the way it ruined ours.

The room was very spacious with lots of natural light. The bed was very comfortable and it was lovely to have a bath tub as well as a very decent shower. Het meest zorgwekkend was dat het hotel ons, terwijl wij er al verbleven, ten onrechte als no-show bij Booking.com heeft gemeld. Hierdoor konden wij onze boekingsgegevens en kosten niet meer normaal inzien en moesten wij contact opnemen met Booking.com om te bewijzen dat wij daadwerkelijk in het hotel verbleven. Toen wij mevrouw Hon hierover aanspraken en vroegen deze onterechte no-showmelding terug te draaien, weigerde zij dit. De uitleg over betalingen en de gevolgen voor Booking.com vonden wij onduidelijk en niet overtuigend. Later gaf ze toe dat ze dit had gedaan omdat ze bang was voor een kritische review. Naast deze kwestie waren er ook praktische problemen: onze geboekte kamer bleek bij aankomst niet beschikbaar wegens onderhoudsproblemen, de vervangende kamer had gebreken zoals een beschimmelde muur tussen de badkamer en slaapkamer waar het stukwerk vanaf viel en de kamersleutel werkte tijdens ons verblijf niet meer. Deze zaken werden uiteindelijk opgelost, maar de communicatie hierover verliep moeizaam en vaak geïrriteerd. Wij reizen veel en hebben wereldwijd in veel accommodaties verbleven, maar de combinatie van een onterechte no-showmelding, druk rondom een positieve beoordeling en de manier waarop hiermee werd omgegaan, hebben wij nog nooit eerder meegemaakt. De accommodatie zelf heeft potentie door de locatie en sfeer, maar onze ervaring met de bedrijfsvoering en communicatie was zeer negatief. De accommodatie houdt er zeer bedenkelijke praktijken op na voor goede reviews.

The location is great, just inside the old town, not too far from the South Gate. The host is very pleasant and helpful, she recommended some good food places to eat, arranged the transportation for us to get to the Tiger Leaping Gorge and helped us purchase the Lijiang Eternal Love show tickets. All her help made our visit to Lijiang stress free. The property is clean and the beds are comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Do samego hotelu trzeba dojść około 10 minut pieszo (samochody nie mogą wjechać na teren starego miasta), za to osoba z hotelu przychodzi zabrać bagaże. Poprzez sam hotel można łatwo, szybko i wygodnie zorganizować wycieczki do okolicznych atrakcji. Obsługa przemiła i co niezwykle ważne Mandy biegle mówi po angielsku i jest niezwykle pomocna. W ogólnym rozrachunku, nie jestem w stanie wskazać żadnych wad i gorąco polecam ten obiekt.

Great location - inside the ancient town. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The service was exceptional and there were two very friendly dogs to play with. The rooms were cozy and clean.

The hostess, Mandy, looked after us wonderfully,even from before we arrived. She was very helpful in all the arrangements before we flew and helped make arrangements with our excursion to JDSM. She even packed snacks for us and read all the ingredients to make sure we could eat it (we're Muslims). The inn is at the old town itself but halal food and the gate only like 6min walk away. Bed was comfortable, toilet was new and super clean. There were 2 beautiful huskies there and they don't bother the guests at all.

Mandy is amazing she organised everything we wanted to do - from transport to and from train station to booking tours. Room was rlly pretty in general the old town is a lovely place to stay in. Mandy can also speak English so you can have a great convo with her.

Very friendly host, Mandy, who is quick to respond to queries via WeChat. She even helped us to put our clothes on the dryer when our clothes were done washing but we were not at the washing machine to do so🩵 The property is also located in the charming ancient town. Shower had consistent hot water to warm us from the cold weather. Random aside: there are two very big Alaskan malamutes in the property which are absolutely adorable!

A very authentic local-style inn

This guesthouse is well located in a quiet corner away from the crowds. It's beautiful and comfortable, and offers great value for money. Excellent sleeping quality. Mandy speaks great English and is your go-to-person if you're looking to hike the Tiger Leaping Gorge. Just tell her what you want to do and she can arrange all the logistics including shuttle to the trail head, luggage storage at the end of the trail and transfer to your next destination (Shangri-la in our case). And the best of all, she follows-up and makes sure you found your luggage and the shuttle in the following day. Thank you Mandy - we had a great stay in Lijiang and a wonderful hike along the Tiger Leaping Gorge.

I had a wonderful stay at Xilu Xiaoxie Inn Old Town NAXI Lijiang. The traditional Naxi-style architecture, beautiful courtyard, and peaceful atmosphere made this one of the most memorable hotels of my trip to China. The location is perfect for exploring Lijiang while still being quiet and relaxing. A very special thank you to Dingling, who is an exceptionally kind and caring host. She was always helpful, provided great local recommendations, and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Her hospitality truly made my stay unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again on my next visit to Lijiang.

Come suggerimento per migliorare ulteriormente l’esperienza degli ospiti, consiglierei di prestare un po’ più attenzione all’ordine e ai dettagli nelle aree comuni. La struttura è molto bella, caratteristica e accogliente, ma in alcuni punti si notano oggetti lasciati in vista e un po’ di disordine. Con una maggiore cura di questi piccoli dettagli, l’atmosfera risulterebbe ancora più piacevole e valorizzerebbe ulteriormente il fascino della casa

Die Zimmer liegen nah beieinander und sind hellhörig. Dann kann es nachts oder früh morgens, wenn die Gäste zu den Touren aufbrechen, schnell laut werden.

The location is fantastic, in the southern part of the the ancient town which is both centrally located but also a bit quieter than other areas of the ancient town. Mindy was very professional and helpful, she helped us organize a driver to the tiger leaping gorge hike and also offered tours to jade dragon snow mountain. And her dogs were very cute!

The room is a little bit smaller than it looks in the pictures, but it was comfortable and well equipped.

Comfortable and clean room, great location. The staff (Mandy) is very nice and friendly. She made sure that I arrive in Lijiang safely. My original flight to the city was suddenly cancelled and Mandy ensured that I got full refund and helped me book a new room.

Charming, full of character and original courtyard hotel but with all modern amenities and excellent service. Mandy is an excellent host, with very good command of English and going out of her way to make sure her guests are comfortable and satisfied. Locations is perfect - in the old town Lijiang but relatively close to the South Gate, where one can get into a car to go to the mountains, airport or the railway station.

Fantastic location; charming architecture and interior design; and the staff are very attentive and kind. Mandy looked after us so well and was very responsive ahead of our stay and during. She went the extra mile in arranging our airport transfers and storing our luggage. You will be very happy staying here.

Sometimes when people made noises in the neighbouring room you could hear it because the isolation of the walls are not perfect but we nevertheless slept well.

The inn is right in Lijiang old town, close to the south gate that is the main bus transport hub. The rooms are very nice (we tested two on different nights), especially the beds that are sooo comfy. The staff is caring, speaks very good english and is really helpful for organising trips around the city (we went to tiger leaping gorges as most people).

The room was very nice and clean. The location is perfect for the tourists to tour around old town. The owner is very kind and communicate well in English.

Rooms were comfortable, from the beds to the showers. Great location, close to many food options, easy to get out to transport as this quaint little Inn waa in the Old town. Mandy was amazing and helped organise day trips. Her english was great and communication was exceptional. Highly rate this wonderful little gem! The 2 dogs were also a delight to see each day.

Perfect location right in the heart of the Old City, yet surprisingly quiet at night. The hotel is incredibly cozy and close to everything. A huge thank you to the host, who speaks excellent English and was a total lifesaver! He helped me through a difficult situation and even provided a lovely dinner. Such amazing hospitality is rare. Highly recommended!

The location is great and the staff, in particular Mandy, were very friendly and went above and beyond what i would have expected. My time in Lijiang was made better by staying here I could not recommend this place enough

Nice hotel... I was in the family room... it's Chinese style... everything was pretty good.. Mandy (manager) is excellent at all, arrange tours to Snow Mountain etc...(make sure you go-once in lifetime experience) easy location in old town...

Everything was good... I was just a bit over the old town cobblestones and cookie cutter shops...maybe I could stay outside old town next time... the tour to Snow Mountain was a bit hectic I guess it was all lost in translation but got to 4680m so achieved the goal...
