Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Perfect location, close to the malls and the beach. Very tight security. Very peaceful and quiet. Unit was clean and smelling fresh. Had large smart TV. All appliances you can need are available including a hair dryer. I loved the balcony. There was even an emergency kit which was an amazing surprise. The host was very nice and communicated well. The complex has a restaurant, pool, gym inside (unsure if its available to guests), but it was really a lovely place.
There was absolutely nothing not to like, except that I had to leave 🙃

Leaving because there was not further availability beyond our stay. The neighbours dogs barked incessantly in the late aftetnoons - very cruel yo have their dogs locked up in an apartment all day

A simple thing was nice. There was even a book with places to eat at, and the restaurant menu and activities to do these small things made a big impact.

Il n’y a pas de climatisation dans l’appartement et il faisait très chaud Nous n’avons pas eu le code pour repartir et la sécurité ne nous a donc pas laissé sortir jusqu’à ce qu’on arrive à joindre le propriétaire

Reviewed Jan 5, 2026Ballito Hills has everything you need. The location is central—close to shops and the beach. The flat was very neat with a comfortable bed. The Lifestyle Centre on the premises with pool area and restaurant is a big bonus.
A fan or aircon in the Kitchen/Living area would be nice. It is quite hot and humid especially in December.

Reviewed Dec 4, 2025We enjoyed the facilities of the unit itself and the lovely view of the trees in Simbithi estate. Spotlessly clean and we would definitely use the unit again as we had everything that we needed right on hand.
Nothing, but we are both over 80 and the stairs could be a problem in future unfortunately , but not luckily at the moment.

Reviewed Oct 24, 2025I was not given adequate access to the unit. The host gave me one access code for entry and one to exit. I requested additional access codes to exit to buy food and visit the surroundings. These were provided the following day. The code that was provided didn't work at the security gate and I was refused access after exiting to buy food. The host didn't respond to calls during this distressing time. I was almost forced to sleep in my car. What a night.

The house had no aircon, the fan in the room was loud but we had to have it on as it was very hot. The neighbours had dogs which were open at times, we couldn't walk freely due to the dogs coming to attack us.

I would of preferred the pool and other games and activities and the spa to have been a little closer to the apartment cause we had to drive there, but overall it was all good.
