Nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement, la chambre est très propre et très calme. Nous avons dîné les deux soirs sur place ce qui est très confortable après une journée de visite, et tout était délicieux. Le petit-déjeuner était également parfait. Merci pour tout !

Reviewed Aug 18, 2026Superbe B&B dans un cadre exceptionnel. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par notre hôte, francophone, très sympathique et attentionné. Mention spéciale pour la cuisine maison, tout simplement exceptionnelle : tout était délicieux, avec notamment… les meilleurs œufs brouillés au monde ! 😋 Le B&B est situé dans un endroit très isolé, accessible par une petite route. Il faut donc en tenir compte si vous recherchez un emplacement très facile d'accès. En revanche, cette situation offre un environnement absolument magnifique et très calme, au bord de l'eau. Ici, pas de bruit de circulation : seulement les sons de la nature. Un véritable havre de paix, particulièrement reposant. Le logement est parfaitement conforme aux photos et à la description. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour et recommandons vivement cette adresse pour ceux qui recherchent calme, nature et authenticité.

Ook heel fijn dat je ter plaatse ook kunt genieten van een heerlijk avondmaal en de mogelijkheid om een lunchpakket mee te nemen voor een dag uitstap/wandeling. Their full Irish breakfasts are excellent. Their evening meals even better! The hosts are proud to promote their meals, and rightly so. They are of exceptional quality and provide very good value for money. This is a really lovely place to stay if you are looking for something off the beaten track.

The location is stunning and the hosts are not only lovely people but are also food lovers who are fabulous cooks. You can pre-order dinner and I highly recommend that you do. Our dinners were the best meals we had on our travels, and the included breakfast was top notch, with local and many organic ingredients. I truly rate it as one of the best!

Reviewed May 28, 2026The house was fantastic, the room very spacious, and both the bed and the pillows were comfortable. The room also had a private bathroom, which was very clean. They provide towels and a hairdryer as well. The house is located in a beautiful area of Connemara. It’s like a small peninsula stretching out into the ocean. The roads leading there are very narrow, but that’s typical of western Ireland. By driving slowly, you can reach it easily - we had no difficulties at all. The B&B is also well signposted along the road. But the best part of the place is definitely the breakfast. The food is excellent, you can order dishes à la carte, and the staff are very kind and attentive. Everything we ate was delicious. It’s hard to find such a well-prepared breakfast in a B&B nowadays. The lodge is also very quiet, and in the outside garden there is a table with benches where you can relax peacefully. We would absolutely recommend everyone to stay at this property - it’s truly fantastic and offers excellent value for money.

Vous aurez cette impression d'être seul au monde, d'être au milieu de nulle part, mais vous saurez que vous êtes en Irlande. Couple très sympathique de franco/Irlandais. Un breakfast traditionnel Irlandais bien copieux. Chambre très spacieuse pour un couple avec un enfant. Tres confortable. On y reviendra. Merci beaucoup pour l'accueil.

There was a great choice for breakfast with fresh eggs coming from the family's own hens. We were very satisfied with our stay in Rossroe Lodge.

Nous avons été très bien reçu par Sylvain, qui, en étant originaire de France, a bien discuté avec nous et nous a conseillé un très bon restaurant proche du B&B. Nous avons bénéficié d'une belle chambre, spacieuse, conforme aux photos, avec un très bon lit et une superbe vue sur la baie. Le chemin d'accès est étroit, mais l'environnement du B&B vaut vraiment le détour. Sylvain et Mary proposent des repas du soir qui sont des recettes locales, et qui sont très bonnes. Nous l'avons apprécié le premier soir de notre arrivée. Le petit déjeuner est lui aussi copieux et de qualité. Notre tour d'Irlande a bien commencé au Rossroe Lodge B&B. Nous conseillons cette adresse.
Nous aurions apprécié de pouvoir plus discuter avec Mary, mais il y avait la barrière de la langue. Sinon, rien à redire...

The room was nice and large with a stunning view. The house is situated in the middle of the National Park in a stunning landscape. It's very quiet and lonly and a great place to enjoy nature.

Reviewed Jun 2, 2025It is hard to list all the things we liked. This is the perfect example of what a hidden gem means. Sylvain and Mary were excellent hosts, as they are wonderful people. Their home is the perfect getaway spot for those who want to escape the world. The room was spacious and comfortable. The house is well-insulated and spotless, and the hosts are food enthusiasts, which was evident at breakfast and dinner, as a dinner option is available. We strongly recommend trying any of their food. There is hardly any place in the county or perhaps in the country that will serve you tastier food than theirs. And all their food is locally sourced. Please let them know in advance if you have any food allergies or special dietary requirements, as they will do their best to accommodate your needs, just like they did with us.
There is nothing we can list here. This is a remote location, so you wouldn't go there unless it were your destination. The roads are narrow, but this is more of a warning than a complaint. Also, they do have an EV charger, but it was not working at the time, but we were offered to charge our EV with their granny charger. We went prepared, so we didn't need to charge our car. All in all, we can't say anything we didn't like.

The house is thoughtfully constructed so to enjoy the best views (dawn is amazing) and be as sustainable as possible. The views inside the house feel unreal, as if they were beautiful screensavers from my computer. The meals are delicious and the breakfast includes fresh eggs from their own hen coop. Full Irish breakfast is better than any other restaurant and the salmon with scrambled is made to perfection. There is nothing we didn’t like, expect that it’s a bit far from any convenience shops. But we were glad to be away from people and infrastructure.
