The view! It was amazing. Also enjoyed the boat trip across the bay into the city. Very good food in Lower Hutt a few miles from our accommodation.

The steps up but we knew that before we got there.

Die Aussicht über die Bucht nach Wellington ist kaum zu überbieten. Man kann sich stundenlang ans Fenster stellen und dem Treiben auf dem Wasser zusehen. Die Vermieter sind sehr hilfsbereit, immer erreichbar und stellen alle notwendigen Informationen frühzeitig bereit. Die Wohnung verfügt über alles, was man für 2 Personen braucht. Das Geschirr ist etwas knapp bemessen, aber ich bin mir sicher, dass auf Nachfrage mehr bereitgestellt worden wäre. Das Doppelbett ist sehr bequem. Es gibt ausreichend Decken, Kissen und Handtücher. Es fehlt wirklich an nichts. Wenn wir noch einmal nach Wellington kommen, wäre diese Wohnung ganz sicher wieder in unserer engeren Auswahl.

Man kann es nicht wirklich kritisieren, denn es wird ausreichend darauf hingewiesen: um zur Wohnung zu gelangen, muss man ca. 30 m Höhenunterschied über eine sehr steile und sehr lange Treppe mit anschließendem Pfad überwinden, denn das Haus liegt hoch oben am Hang. Das Auto muss unten am Wasser stehen bleiben. Wer dort oben mit 2 Koffern und eventuell weiteren Taschen ankommt, hat seine Lunge definitiv einem Stresstest unterzogen. Wenn man das jeden Tag nach dem Ausflug mit seinen Einkäufen wiederholt, bekommt ein gutes Training. Also sollte man es sportlich nehmen. Ansonsten verflucht man den Berg. Dafür kann das Haus und können die Vermieter nichts. Wir wurden dafür mit einem wunderbaren Aufenthalt entschädigt. Man sollte es nur vorher bedenken und es nicht unterschätzen.

El acceso al alojamiento desde el parking, si vas con mucho equipaje, es exigente físicamente (escaleras) El wifi no funcionaba bien. La puerta de la cocina y la ventana del baño la cocina no podían cerrarse correctamente. La cafetera estaba estropeada y no filtraba bien el café Varios elementos del botiquín estaban caducados desde hace algunos años.

The people downstairs (this place is on the first floor) had quite a long party. Also kept slamming doors. Did not respond to requests to keep the noise down.

Stunning views, even in a storm, the view was magical. Clean, tidy, and a really comfortable bed. The perfect place to relax on holiday.

The stairs were fun... but you don't get amazing views without a wee climb, so definitely worth it.

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the place very much. Everything was exactly as advertised. Very comfortable accommodations. There is a beautiful walk around the bay, and the view from the many windows is amazing.

Several reviewers took issue with the stairs--we drove up to unload our suitcases and then parked at the bottom. It wasn't a big deal. It's a lot of steps, but that's made clear in the description. I wouldn't book if I had a health condition, but being fairly fit, it really wasn't bad.

We stayed during a storm, and then the next night the sunset was amazing.

The TV / WiFi setup was a little difficult to use.

Great little place to stay for a weekend get away! As mentioned in other reviews the views are amazing!! The house itself is also amazing!! Has everything you need for a comfortable home away from home. The hosts are also amazing!! Had great communication throughout, very pleasant and helpful. 10 out of 10 stay!!

As mentioned in previous reviews there are a number of steps to the property, so keep that in mind when packing you have to take it all up the steps. Otherwise, take your time going up and down using the handrails and you will be fine.

The place has a few quirks but more than makes up for it with the location and attention to comfort. If you think of it as an upmarket bach then that would define it well. We loved being there while our home was having floors sanded.

Nothing that really mattered!

The views were amazing! A cute little cottage, clean and comfortable.

Would have been great to know how difficult access to the property was with over 50 steep steps to climb while carrying luggage, food supplies etc. This would be impossible for elderly or people with toddlers or babies. Cars parked down on road so far below house meant no security. Just need to be upfront with the accessibility prior to people booking.

The view is 180 degrees. Great sunsets. Big kitchen. Cozy bed. Maybe 5 minutes from lower Hutt center.

Lots of stairs to property and you are on second floor. Make sure you have small luggage and are physically fit. We parked on Church st above property between 9 and 15. The construction below took spots on main street.

This place was the most comfortable, serene spot, nicely appointed kitchen was everything you could need. I could look at the practically 360 views all day. Would love to go back again sometime. The stairs were a great workout, communicated well so I planned for them & it was no problem.

Wifi was a little spotty while trying to get some work done, but then I would just look up and enjoy the view!

Bath was a good size and length. Everything I needed in the kitchen. Sea views were worth the cost alone. Bed was comfy with electric blanket. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided as well as toilet paper. Towels provided. Guest book had lots of good info.

The access to the house was the most unliked part of the stay, but the sea views during the day and at night was worth the trek. A bit difficult to see at night on the trek in some places, so having your phone torch ready is recommended. Mostly well lit path though. If you have a lot to take up the stairs to the house, either have a few people to help or be prepared to have a double sometimes triple workout. It was a bit difficult to work out the TV box, but I just googled it, would be great to have instructions though. The lounge layout was aimed more to look at the water views instead of the TV, but I just moved it around. If your not a tap water drinker, take some water. The heatpump took a whlile to warm up. Washer/dryer very loud so I set it for when I went out.

Tastefully appointed, great views, pantry well stocked over and above the average Air bnb.

Amazing cottage with stunning views. Very comfortable & cozy. Cycled up the hill rather than climbing the stairs.

Majestic 180degree Seaviews. Very private, lovely hosts. Perfect Retreat to rejuvenate & regroup for 2days before hitting the road again. Stocked up with a few groceries so didn’t need to leave the property. If this 69yr old can climb the 57steps from Carpark up to the unit - so can you. I would recommend carry-on luggage only instead of Suitcases. Will definitely be back

A great spot to get away and relax. Great hosts and super helpful. The one thing that you do need to be mindful of is the steps getting to the place. They are steep and you may struggle if you had mobility issue eg bad knee etc

Love having proper coffee & cafetiere available. The views were outstanding and very special. The closeness to the bays and to Petone was wonderful and we had such a relaxing time here. The descriptions and explanation were excellent. The binoculars were a lovely touch.

The steps are clearly very Wellington and not unexpected for such great views.

We loved the amazing views emphasised with the oversized windows, with comfort and simplicity to match. Everything for a short stay was available.

After a while the access was the only downside however you plan trips out and do everything in one go to keep this to a minimum.

Maybe some warning about the steep stairs to reach the house? - ok for us,but imagine it may be difficult for some

The view was incredible, the bed very comfortable, the location was excellent, it was close to arterial routes but cosy and private. The view gave us constant entertainment. The house had all the amenities we needed plus more for a three day stay. It has a charming wee lounge, a full kitchen, great bathroom and the best bed to read a book in ever.

The steps were a workout but completely doable and not a hurdle to revisit.

Great location with fantastic views

Amazing location

We were made well aware of the following however it is the only thing to not like about this property. Only access is by steep staircase from the beachside road, car is parked here too.

Location was absolutely beautiful. The view out to the harbour was stunning, with the second story fully available to you, it feels like home away from home.

While Wellington is known for its wind, didn't realise how much the wind affected the building and shook the apartment. But worth it for the view.
