The staff are so incredibly friendly. They offered to pick us up and even drive us to our next destination. The breakfast was delicious, and the accommodation itself was idyllic with lots of Balinese influences in the decorations in the midst of the rice fields.
Just a few minor things! We needed extra earplugs for the cicadas! They were very loud at night, but I guess that tends to come with a stay in the rice fields. And with the location being a bit off the beaten path, having something delivered through Grab was a bit more challenging (not many drivers could find the place immediately).
De prachtige grote ruimte, wn de locatie was perfect. Wel stukje omhoog maar voor ons prima

The hotel in Ubud was wonderful! Just a 10-minute walk from the main street, yet very quiet and peaceful, right in the heart of the rice fields. A perfect place to relax, and excellent value for the price. Highly recommended!

The accommodation was in a perfect location – peaceful and quiet, yet just a few minutes from the city center. It was a great base both for relaxing and for going on wonderful excursions. The hosts were extremely warm and attentive, always making sure I felt cared for. Breakfast was freshly prepared every morning, tasty and varied. The interior was beautiful and authentic, and I especially loved sitting on the large bench on the porch – it was one of my favorite spots.
The only small thing that could be improved is adding mosquito nets on the windows, which would make the stay even more comfortable.

The family are very nice, friendly and interested in their guests . The room was large and comfortable and in a great location in Ubud beside the rice fields.

Great family operated guest house. Such a quiet location in the heart of Ubud. Rice fields around house and coconut palms . Short walk to cute lane with open rice fields and shops for massage, coffee and restaurant- warung open air style and new bamboo coffee house. Rooms are huge.
Breakfast was nice but more western style. Please offer Bali style breakfast.
A really peacefull place, near to center of Ubud, but a quiet place. It is placed also very close to the rice fields. The hosts are very kind and eager to help you with anything you need. They make you feel at home. The room were very spacious and clean with air conditioning, rustic furniture and balinese decorations. Also, had a spacious terrace where you can admire the nature, the sound of it and where you can read a book or taking a nap. The room cleaning was daily and the breakfast is prepared by hosts with fresh fruits or juice, eggs, noodle soup, toast, pancake.
For us was not an issue, but I need to mention that the room does not have a small fridge and TV
Great place to discover Ubud easily and really nice family that was very friendly and welcoming!
It's very quiet and the breeze from the rice fields feels nice. It's at the end of a narrow road so you have to walk there, but you can see a wonderful rural view.
The breakfast was basic but was good. I find the location to be very good. It met my needs.
There was nothing not to like. I had a great stay at Nirwa. The room was bigger than expected and the view was amazing.
Yes. It’s a very beautiful place with all the local decoration and a family temple in the charming garden.
We are nicely and warmly hosted.
The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean, one of the cleanest I encountered in Indonesia. The facilities are great and the rooms are large. The building is absolutely beautiful and the decor is stunning with the temple garden.the location is so quiet and close to a lovely rice field walk and cafes but not far from the center. Totally recommend!! Also yes there is a path to go back but as a solo female traveler I didn't feel unsafe because it is very short and also there are other accommodations around so it doesn't feel you are totally isolated. Also no aggressive dogs around, all the dogs were friendly
The rooms on the ground floor can be a bit dark so if you can, book one of the rooms with the balcony. The deluxe room on the top has amazing views. A bit more interaction with the hosts would be great, the place gives more a feeling of hotel than guesthouse but that's also cause it's quite big. There is a little walk you have to do but it's not long but if you have a lot of luggage can be an issue, then best to coordinate with the guesthouse for help.
Love this place, been coming back several times. The hosts are so friendly and hospitable, the location couldn’t be better, beautifully set in the ricefield but still just a stone’s throw from the center of Ubud.
Very nice location, close to all the main sights but very quiet. Nice and comfortable room and friendly owners.
Wifi signal was weak
The location. The relaxed atmosphere. The family feel
All good
It is close to a big rice field and nature, and a lot of yoga shalas around, very peaceful and feels right at home. Gusti and Ayu, Sri and baby Bagustia are very warm hosts and it’s like you live with the family. I stayed here so happily for almost two weeks
There are sometimes dog poop outside the door but I think it cannot be helped, also, some staircase from main entrance so bring only light luggage!
Great location , quiet
The location was really nice even tho there is a 5 minutes walk from the city to the guesthouse. The family that runs it was also really nice. The place was overall quiet.
They are a very friendly family and you can rest very well in the place. You don't hear any noise after 10 and the breakfasts are incredible. I loved the place.
We enjoyed our 4 days at Nirwa homestay so much and can recommend it wholeheartedly! The room was squeaky clean and the super sweet staff lady was here everyday to keep it that way. Thank you! Everytime you enter or leave the building you get the warmest greeting and good buy you can imagine! The whole family spreads very positive and relaxing vibes and we had a lot of good talks with them. Like others have already said, the homestay is super quiet, but also very close to the center, best of both worlds! Please if you are planning to stay in Ubud, choose this place and book as many nights as you can get! We were sad when we had to leave after 4 days.
was quiet - close to the rricefields and to ubud town
Had a fantastic stay at Nirwa. The family is exceptionally warm and welcoming. The breakfast each morning was splendid. Will be coming and staying again next time. The walk that people mention isn’t actually that far and is great because it keeps all the busy motorbike traffic away from the room, keeping it calm and peaceful. The grounds are gorgeous and feel’s like a sanctuary from the busy town.
Staying at Nirwa 1 Guest House was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed getting to know the warm and friendly family. It was a very quiet location, but minutes away from the main downtown area of Ubud. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious!
It would have been nice if there had been a klamboe. Also the warm water ran out after one person showered.
Quiet location but still central. Private balcony. Nice views.
Bit of a walk from the main road on narrow path with motor bikes.
Very large and spacious room and bathroom. Great location near the centre for a good price. Set in a peaceful courtyard with kind staff. I especially appreciated the help from Wayan the housekeeper and Made the owner.
The bathroom had a very strong bad smell. In hindsight I should have checked out when I arrived, because the smell was almost unbearable. It smelled strongly of mould. Fortunately, Wayan the housekeeper was very kind and cleaned the bathroom thoroughly after I complained about the smell. However, after just two days of staying there, many of my belongings grew mould on them.. I’ve grown up in the tropics, and I know this is not normal. I was also unwell whilst staying here which I think was exacerbated by the environment. I think with some maintenance work, this should no longer be an issue, but this was unfortunately the experience I had.
Nice location tucked away from the busy Ubud street and nice views overseeing from the rice fields.
We do not like the service here and would rate it below average in Bali. (e.g. after breakfast was made, they could have let us know if not to bring it upstairs as stairs are steep here, instead we needed to check after 20 mins only to find that it is already done) Also the facilities in the room are very basic.
Would you like to stay in a place surrounded by Rice Fields , Have a loving Hospitality , Cheaper Price , Spacious Room , Passion for Art , then blindly book this place .The fact that Sri & her family are really nice when it comes to serving the guest . I did see many other properties but my heart said book over here , so glad that I stayed here for 4 days & I am determined to come back for a longer stay next time . The house keeping staff who is such a sweet lady who came to pick my luggage & show me the way while checking In . She is just too good . My Laundry was also done nicely & I am happy with the same .The Place popularly called Rice fileds is filled with many art shops where you will find many Paintings in Ubud . Good to have a walk with your loved ones in the natural surroundings . The only issue with this Hotel is they don't serve you food apart from their breakfast so you will have to have lunch & dinner outside which you will find nearby .Ubud is such a lovely place to move around & spend your time . Do come to have a relaxing Getaway over here. Thank you NIRWA & TEAM FOR THE WARM & LOVING HOSPITALITY.
If they would have had the food options , it would been really very helpful as one has to go out to have their lunch & dinner every time , but nevertheless one can always book the food through Grab Or eat nearby.
Nirwa guesthouse is such a warm, lovely, family-run place!! It felt like coming home. The location is wonderful- close to town and perfect for an early morning rice paddy walk out the back gate. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Ubud!
People were really welcoming, kind and warm. I really felt like a part of family there. Room was really big and they cleaned it every day.
Road to guesthouse was not drivable and you have to walk from the bigger road. It didn’t really bother me but can be problem to someone.
This is a homestay, not a hotel! I stayed here for one week. All good! Lovely family and great staff. Calm. I loved the area..!! Far away from busy Ubud.
Price-quality is very good. It is basic! But you pay for that.. Rooms have different views!! Some are nicer then the other. Check with owner before you book.
The guesthouse is in the city center but tucked in the rice field which makes it perfect to retreat in calmness while also stay connected to the city. Rooms are spacious and clean, very simple which also help with grounding. The staff is super friendly, always welcoming you home with a big smile. The place feels charged with alot of positive energy. I loved it !
Mmm nothing really
This is an exceptional place. The family was very welcoming and kind and the home is beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice, and I met lovely people there. The location cannot be beat. It is right next to rice fields, giving it a very calm atmosphere and also a very short walk away from several temples and museums. I cannot recommend this place enough! I'm grateful to the family for sharing it with me.
Good location. Quiet area, but close to the center. Friendly family, beautiful building and good breakfast. They helped me with my bag.
For a female solo traveller, the little road to the homestay did not feel very comfortable to walk in the dark.
Nirwa's is a typical Balinese household compound with the family staying in their own rooms alongside the guest rooms. The family temple, ceremony house and kitchen are within the compound. The back door leads out into the rice fields which lead onto lovely cafes and art workshops in the paddy fields. You are only 300 metres from the Ubud main road and the walk to Ubud palace is 10 minutes. The family make you part of their own. All guests were part of the family's ceremony of the first grandchild's 3 month ceremony and were invited to join the family for the celebration lunch. The breakfast was great and the washing/ironing facility was very handy. If you are looking for an immersive Balinese experience with easy access to all places in Ubud, look no further, this is it!
Nothing really.
I loved the homey feel of this place, the hospitality if the hosts, the location quiet yet central. The view is beautiful, the surroundings are well maintained, the room is clean and spacious, with a balcony from where i could practice my morning yoga with the sunrise. The place has a lot of charm as it's within a Balinese family compound, and everything is authentic. I'll book again without hesitation.
The road access could be tricky if you're not used to ride a scooter, but it's easy to walk through.
I wanted to stay in a place where I could meet local people. We were staying with a lovely family run establishment.
Amazing location and stayed with a beautiful family , the rooms were very spacious and was extremely comfortable
the eco housing set up was great
it was nosiy due to a night club in the padi field alongside
The property is very nice and cozy. The owner !nd family members are very nice and helpful.
It's slightly inside, you can't take the car till the property. If you have luggage with you, then it's a bit challenging to walk till the property. However, the hotel staff assists, shifting the luggage. Overall, the stay was very comfortable.
Such a cool place in the jungle, partly a temple. Staff were amazing picked us up from the airport late at night for a great price. Not far out of town at all. nice and quiet, relaxed.
Nothing
The family and the place was amazing, there is nothing I could say that was bad about the place. The location was perfect for getting just out of the noise and chaos of the Main Street, but only being 5 minutes away. The owners are so friendly and helpful, we booked our tickets to the Gilis through them, with an all in one transaction booking including transport and ferry. Recommend!!!
Loved it all!
It was an amazing stay! I’ve met many people, the personal here is so lovely I really enjoyed it! The price is really great for what you get 🙏
Tranquility in the middle of the Center of ubud. Spacious room with good view of rice field and blue sky. Liked its seclusion up on the top third floor
Not enough clarity with the directions of getting to the property even with pictures and a walkway map. Would like to have luggage assistance during check out, especially lifting it from the top floor room.
This hotel is located in the center of Ubud, within walking distance of Ubud Royal Palace, quiet and not disturbed by the annoying sound of motorcycles, the staff are very good, and the breakfast is very good and very satisfying.
nothing,everything is fine.
Location great in the rice fields and a little walk along a creek. Nice rooms
breakfast was bad
Rooms and bathroom were very clean and beds were very comfortable. It was so quiet and peaceful with the rice fields right next to the guesthouse. Breakfast was great and the family was so friendly.
It is a 250m walk up from the road, part of which is a steep and only an issue for us because we were with my elderly mother. I think this should be clearer in the description of the property. The family helps transport the luggage so getting your bags up to the property is not a problem.
The room was amazing and very clean. The location is near the centre but far from the noise of the street, it is very quiet place and surrounded by nature. The family was very friendly and kind and the breakfast was delicious! In our opinion everything was perfect. Thank you!
Location was amazing, very close to the busy area, but very quiet.
I believe internet could be better.
Very kind family with a very sweet, clean and quiet homestay. Just four minutes by feet away from busy area, but completely quiet. Highly recommended :)
Location is 5 minute walk away from the busy central ubud, yet very quiet as soon as you are at the guesthouse. You will hear all the birds, frog ... and other nature sounds which really connect you to the nature. Breakfast is healthy with fruit, a selection of western style bf and balinese's bf (off the menu).
The room was ok.
I was expecting to stay in a place and ended staying in a different one.
The family was very nice, and I loved the peaceful surrounding in the rice fields. Highly recommending!
It is a very cosy, tranquil, inspiring place, a continuum of the best side of Bali's atmosphere. Hosts were very friendly and breakfast - great.
What a hidden gem! beautiful guesthouse surrounded by rice fields (this window view!), spacious room equipped with all you need, kind staff, possibility to pay by card even for airport transport, great value for money, perfect location, just 4 minutes (by walk) from the main road
