Paradise by the Sea in Penang by Veron at Rainbow Paradise

The location was very good.

It was very tired and dated.

Location was fine, easy access to other parts of Penang, easy access to regular bus services. Room itself was big, clean and had good views. Communication with provider excellent.

Pool was closed for most of the time. Published re opening date of 16th August became 18th and even then did not look clean and saw no other guests in it. Corridors dirty, littered , bins unemptied outside the building. Breakfast limited availability and poor quality with food cold. Weird check in process, made it feel a bit dodgy. Lifts out of order for two hours in Monday 17th with little warning. Given room was in 22nd floor, this was a big problem.

Its location is near the beach & easy access to local foods & shops. The sea view was magnificent.

The building was a bit outdated but I had no issues with it.

I was very happy and comfortable during my stay. The apartment was clean, spacious, and the sea view was beautiful. The location was great and everything was convenient.

The only issue was the elevators. There were only two lifts in a large building with many guests, so we often had to wait a long time to go up or down.

I had a beautiful view right on the beach, There are several restaurants close by.

This resort has seen better days, it is now in need of maintenance to address the damp issues & general wear & tear. It's a real shame as the location is perfect, this hotel would have been amazing if it was well maintained, unfortunately it isn't.

Kamer wordt verhuurd door derden, dus niet door het hotel. De mevrouw heeft ons goed geholpen en geprobeerd het ons naar de zin te maken omdat wij veel klachten hadden over het hotel. Kamer is verouderd, zou onderhoud kunnen gebruiken. Als ik de kamer zou moeten beoordelen zou dit een 7 zijn. Het hotel is een heel ander verhaal.

Wij hebben dit hotel geboekt omdat we voor de coronatijd, hier goede ervaringen mee hadden. Wat een grote afgang, teleurstelling. Het hotel schijnt na de coronatijd te zijn gesloten. Daarna is het in handen gekomen van in totaal 7 partijen. Kamers werden aan particulieren aangeboden om te verhuren. Personeel is niet gemotiveerd zelfs onbeschoft, toestand van het hotel laat zeer te wensen over. Lekkages, afgebladderde deuren, douches bij het zwembad niet in orde, het zwembadpersoneel doet daar dus niets aan. Geen ligbedden bij het zwembad. Toiletten in de algemene ruimtes worden niet schoongemaakt. Aftandse liften. Restaurant is beperkt open met beperkt menu. Aan het strand bij het hotel is een beachbar, peperduur en terwijl wij er nog zitten met ons drankje wordt het licht uitgedaan. Booking.com heeft ons ook niet geïnformeerd dat er voor schoonmaakkosten 70 ringit per dag wordt berekend. Booking zou zelf eens dit hotel moeten bezoeken. Wij zijn van ellende maar 3 dagen eerder vertrokken. Booking haal dit hotel uit jullie aanbod

The apartment was lovely very well laid out bed was so comfortable and massive queen size bed . The balcony had gorgeous views over the whole area sea and land . Great value for money. Down stairs there's a beach bar offering food and drinks and cocktails

Difficulty accessing our room - host didn't respond to WhatsApp messages and we were left waiting for a response. We were assisted by someone in the corridor who saw us trying to get in and who knew the host and called her directly. We had an irregular number of plates,mugs, glasses, etc, and only 1 bowl for use in the microwave. Mini fridge is inside a kitchen cabinet with no ventilation which got Very hot (a possible fire hazard) and there wasn't any cleaning products except a dustpan and brush - completely useless if you spill a drink! Our main complaint was with the bathroom - dirty / mouldy sealant everywhere and just very old, very shabby, and needed a complete re-fit. We sent a video to the host but nothing was done while we were there. The shower temperature was difficult to regulate as there is only separate hot and cold taps. We were only allocated 1 bath towel each every 2 days but were given 2 more when we requested them. We were there 4 nights and we were not offered any change of bed linen during our stay. Also there was no hanging rail for drying clothes or swimming trunks. Overall we were very disappointed and wouldn't recommend.

Nice unit with 2 rooms. The highlight was balcony facing the sea. Can see the fire show at the beach from here. The host was superb! Very helpful even informed us of a fire show at the beach at 9pm. Thanks Michelle 😁

Very nice breakfast.Well cooked. Room with balcony had a great view and had all that you needed.

I loved that the property was just on the beach, it was closed to everything I needed. Thr area had many shops and stores that you can walk to. A very safe area as well. The room itself was neat and clean. Free wifi and a comfortable bed was provided with an amazing view. I also liked that I could contact the owner quickly via Whatsapp and she was available everytime, she even arranged for me to print some documents (which I later forgot to do).

The building itself is old, but the inside of the room was renovated. There wasnt really anything I didnt like.

I like to stay but I wan know y third party handle the key system and collect security deposit too much is rm 300 the room price only rm 200 , not lobby receptionist handing our check in is third party handle by phone call this is make us disappointed

Great location, plenty of room, beautiful view. Close to everything-shops and bus stop, very convenient. Loved the weekend night entertainment-flame dancers and live band, added to holiday spirit. Nice owner, very responsive and easy to contact.

The room was clean and pretty much have everything that we need for 2-3 days stay. The sea view was perfect from the balcony! The feel home was absolutely was there, and it is easily can fit 4 adult stay .

The bathtub area should have pipe or holder instead of head shower alone.

Nice spacious room with a small kitchen area. It was all clean. However some of the bathroom fittings need to be renewed. Great balcony and a good view to the sea and inland from the 6th floor. Nice sunrises. Very near to the beach and also the main road for buses. Host was easy to contact and helpful. Staff in reception area were very nice.

Some evenings there was loud music from the ground floor. Not this host's fault, but the building owner could put some thought into improving the look of the ugly roofing on the ground floor.

The whole physical aspects like room, location, facilities etc. Also the staff liaising with us was very efficient and helpful.

The unit we stayed have a great view. There is a convenience store, a bar and also restaurant at the place so it makes things easier. We were given seasonal parking card as well. Everything is complete in the room. Even the tv has netflix and youtube. Easy way of checking in and out. Good host!

The elevator is slow especially when there is an event going on.The hotel is a bit seasoned. A policy of RM300 deposit.

Great view, nice big balcony, good location. Comfortable room, fitted with everything you may need with all the required basics in the kitchenette. Owners were very friendly & accommodating - fetched me from the airport & even brought me jack fruit from their garden. Lovely shaded pool area, right on the beach.

The room needs a little bit of TLC, such as replacing the carpet, which is looking very threadbare, with tiles.

The hosts who looked after us were excellent, location was quite nice and convenient. Beds were comfortable and the showers were hot and strong. Clean rooms, easy beach access and close to lots of food.

It was pleasant stay for 4 of us as the rooms are spacious, comfortable & most importantly clean.

Love the location. Convenient and easy access to town and also to the beach. The 1-room suite is clean, equipped and quaint.

The WiFi speed or the lack of it. You need speed when you have kids that usually spend some time in the room for internet TV, social media and/or games. You need speed for adults whose work need connection speed. So if your family need fast WiFi then this is not it. In fact the speed is something like 3.5G. However, if you just need the room for a good night's rest then it has the basic things you need. Outside of the room, hotel facilities, however, is really old and rundown. It definitely needs some work. Stale corridor carpet, plaster ceiling that's almost coming off, elevator tiles that's coming loose.
