Perfect property for our dogs, had a wonderful decked area, if the weather was better it would have been lovely to sit outside on the well equiped and set out deck and soak up the rays. Well equiped property with everything you needed plus a nice surprise of breakfast items in the fridge for use. Easy to access and great communication from Gale, lovely host.

Reviewed May 28, 2026I loved my stay there, Gail met us at the gate to greet us and show us in. Everything inside was more than just a place to stay, I felt like someone special, Gail was very friendly and informative as to where to go for a meal. Breakfast was supplied and was very nice, coffee was good to. The bed was very comfortable.
The curtains in the Master bedroom let in the lights from the port, but didn't stop me from having a good night's sleep

A very handy position to walk to town and a lovely walk up to the bluff hill lookout each day at the end of the road . I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone

No hot plates or saucepans etc in the kitchen, (although an electric frypan, microwave and toaster oven were supplied). The outdoor space was great, but if it was raining the indoor table was very small.

Reviewed Jul 28, 2025The apartment master bedroom was spacious and the whole apartment was spotlessly clean. The terrace in front of the master bedroom was sunny and also spacious. The shower pressure is great. Having the second bedroom to use as a wardrobe was also ideal for us. The owner is very welcoming and helpful. We especially liked being able to take our two smallish dogs, having a grass area out the front of the apartment and wonderful bush walking tracks at the end of the street that go up to the Bluff Hill lookout.
There is no indoor lounge area, which could be awkward if more than one couple is staying and the weather isn't good enough to sit outside, that's no problem for one couple.

Loved the sheltered outdoor terrace overlooking the Port, that was great for relaxing and for the dog. The bed and bedding were very comfortable, and the Art Deco styled interior was quite luxurious.
Perhaps provide a dustpan and brush.

The apartment was spacious, comfortable & well-appointed with a nice terrace. It overlooks a shipyard & a cruise port, but we weren't affected at all by any noise while we were there. It is located in a quiet area of Ahuriri where there are a variety of waterfront restaurants & shops. Napier is just a few minutes away by car. We enjoyed exploring the area, visiting wineries and hiking the trails at Te Mata Peak.

The Hostess was very welcoming and helped us plan an excellent day out using her recommendations on places to visit and sights to see. Lots of chic deco touches - especially in the bedrooms - made the stay memorable. Very relaxing. With a car, close to the centre of Napier (5 mins).
The lack of stove could be limiting for some and one (large) bedroom doubles as a sitting room/TV room area. The layout is a bit quirky.

Reviewed Nov 17, 2024Gail was really lovely and was a great host. The property was immaculate, lovely furnishing and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching boats come and go.
The only thing missing for us was a place to sit and relax inside. There were 4 of us and having an indoor lounge space would have been great when it was raining and cold outside. We did sit around the small round table in the kitchen area but it wasn't like being able to relax on comfy chairs or couches. It was a little expensive as a result of not having this space.

The two bedroom apartment, loads of room in the home. Self sufficient washing machine and line excellent powerful shower. Indoor out door living couldn’t ask for anything better then this well thought out apartment.
