Speedy WiFi, decent facilities, very easy to do early check in. Instructions are clear, and it’s a cozy place to stay.

No shared bathroom at the upper floor. There’s also a rule not to eat and drink (except water) in your room.

The room is clean and just nice for me. There was ironing facility. Water refill was available from a water filter machine. It was quiet and easy to sleep.

There was only one shared bathroom and one toilet. Every morning when I need to shower prior to work, I have to queue. In particular, there was one Chinese gentleman who took at least 30 minutes in the shower, watching videos on TikTok while showering. I was in rush and he wasted my 30 minutes. I ended up have to wake up 30 minutes earlier than my planned time just to shower first. So, if you think you don't want to fight for bathroom, ensure that you wake up early, or pray that you are the only occupants inside the house. It is a house so there was no "signboard" to tell you that you has arrived at your destination. There is only one parking lot available in the house garage. If you are driving, make sure that you get a proper parking at the roadside and pay for your parking. The traffic police issues ticket everyday.

The room is comfortable and clean. The restroom is very clean and dries quickly. A water filter machine is provided.

Very clean and peaceful accommodation with laundry facilities. The housekeeper was hardworking and helpful. Close to a nice park, hospital, and Pulau Tikus food spots.

Only minor issues: pillow not suitable for me and shower head direction fixed. Otherwise, excellent stay.

太棒的地方了，很乾凈，房子很新，還配有usb插頭。有洗衣機洗衣服，可在外晾乾。本來擔心在住宅區裡會不會不方便，但其實離便利商店很近，還有一間welling藥妝店跟很多食物吃的美園茶室。甚至有一家屈臣式。大部份人都很安靜，但是最後一天早上似乎有小孩在二樓的房間跑來跑去，但畢竟不是住酒店，這不是旅宿的問題。

一樓共用廁所，抽衛生紙的地方卡太緊了，真的抽不出來🤣

Начнем с заезда. Должно на первом месте стоять, что объект с самостоятельным заселением! Нигде этого не указано! Ночь! Я ищу отель, по факту просто дом с адресом, без какого либо обозначения туда я приехал или нет. Все закрыто! На почте только подтверждение о бронировании. Все! Пришлось писать самому через форму обратной связи и только после этого мне выслали инструкцию для заселения!!! Комната. Комната хорошая, но... Нет никакой вентиляции, запах плесени уже въелся во все! Как в камере у туберкулёзников. Оставаться надолго буквально страшно. Шумоизоляция на нуле - слышно как хлопает входная дверь, слышно как ходят люди на втором этаже - буквально по голове. Стиральная машинка - есть, спасибо! Но место сушить к сожалению не предусмотрено(( Одним из основных критериев выбора данной гостиницы было наличие парковки, а тут ещё обещают и крытую в описании! Представьте мое удивление, когда в инструкции по заселению мне прямо пишут - кто успел того и тапки. Размер парковки на одну машину. Успеть очень сложно)))) Для тех кто не успел - на улице есть платная муниципальная парковка. Заплати за номер с парковкой, а потом ещё за парковку отдельно. При этом не возвратная бронь. Я бы бежал оттуда!!! если бы была возможность посмотреть перед заселением.

Helaas geen stoelen op de kamer. En als je gaat douchen word de complete douche en wc nat. Ook is er geen ruimte om toiletartikelen op te ruimen. En als het geregend heeft dan druppelt het nog uren na op een golfplaten dak, waar je uren wakker van ligt. Erg irritant

Very neatly kept common areas, quiet street, great location. Clean rooms, comfortable bedding. air-condition and fan, good supply of clothes hangers, thoughtful electric sockets that support international adaptors, USB A and C. Downlight under the dresser was a nice touch! Very close to Pulau Tikus Wet Market, hawker centre at the street corner, Bakery, Starbucks, Family Mart nearby and 10 min walk to Gurney Plaza and Paragon.

Kamar mandi ada bau dari saluran pembuangan air, mungkin sistem pipa pembuangan yang tidak baik.

the location was very convenient

The toilet clogs was very smelly. It's really make us not conformable while stay inside the room as the smell was speared out.

I liked the facilities. Everything works. Host is responsive. Location is excellent - not too noisy and close to shopping for groceries and most everything you might need.

Although host is responsive, she is a remote host and I strongly dislike impersonal hospitality. A really good hosts should, at the least, meet her/his guests in person at least one time. Room is small but comfortable.

没有24小时柜台或工作人员，房间使用的门锁是旧式的门锁，卫生间是分开的，因此发生反锁事件，拨了房主留的紧急电话但晚上9 点多就连络不到任何工作人员。 There is no 24-hour front desk or staff. The door lock used in the room is an old-fashioned one. The bathroom is separate, so I was locked out. I called the emergency number left by the owner, but I couldn't reach any staff after 9 pm.

The location is strategic.

This was the message she sent: "Dear Valued Guest, I understand that you booked the room for one night, checking out on April 1st. Our check-out time is strictly 12 PM. I attempted to call you, but you did not answer. If you do not check out by 12:15 PM, we will charge you for an additional night. Thank you." before 12pm she started texting, at 12:08pm she called me and at 12:10pm i texted her back 12:14pm i called her back and ' talked ' (very fierce impatient unkind) for less than 1 minute she or the line no sound . I spoke with the housekeeper, who has been serving her family since their children were young and now helps maintain the homestay. I told her, "This is unacceptable. The weather is scorching, and my parents are in pain from lack of rest. Other homestays have allowed me to check out at 2 PM without issue, permitting me to use the facilities as if it were my own home. we are trying we are already on our way i showed you." I felt an overwhelming urge to cry. Unlike other children who can provide their parents with comfort and luxury, I struggle to give my family even the most basic level of ease. Everywhere I look, people are glued to their phones, consumed by impatience, greed, and emotional instability. It seems the world has become obsessed with money, incapable of understanding or showing genuine compassion, dishonesty, just remotely do not care much. her house is pretty expensive compared to a few others.

Last night, we checked into a homestay where I had previously stayed. During my last visit, I had voluntarily helped with household chores—washing the toilet, folding laundry, cleaning and sun-drying all the bedding, and mopping the floor. i need to dry my clothes too. This time, we made a last-minute booking at 9 PM and arrived past 10 PM after an expensive and arduous Grab ride from the national park to the city center, only to be stuck in traffic. The double bedroom with an attached toilet had no window, and the room emitted a strong odor. The bathroom was not particularly clean, so after freshening up, I picked up stray hairs and ensured the space was tidy. Despite these efforts, we could not sleep—the bed was too small, and an elderly man was crying, shouting, and wailing throughout the night and into the morning. Oddly enough, he behaved normally whenever he used the shared toilet, shower, or kitchen. At first, I thought I was imagining things, but my family heard it too. Concerned and somewhat frightened, I left the door open while we attempted to rest, only air from the main door. By morning, we were utterly exhausted, sore, and in pain. We woke at 7:30 AM and went to the temple, but our bodies ached so much that walking became difficult. Returning after 10:40 AM, we endured yet another round of waiting for two buses in the congested city center traffic. Upon arrival, I realized I had missed multiple calls from the homestay owner. When I returned the call, she responded sternly, displaying impatience and irritation. She bombarded me with rules, warning that if we failed to return by 12:30 PM, she would change the door code, and if we overstayed beyond noon, we would be charged an extra night. When I questioned why she treated guests this way, especially elderly and fatigued foreigners, she remained unyielding. I reminded her that kindness fosters business, and no business thrives without compassion. She was already well-off—why, then, was she so impatient

The price is slight higher compared to other. Very strict on the checkout time.

This was my second stay at SummerHome15, and just like before, it was an excellent experience! The place remains as good as ever—comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is unbeatable, making it easy to explore Penang’s attractions, food spots, and conveniences. The host is fantastic—responsive, friendly, and always ensuring a smooth stay. Highly recommended, and I would definitely return again!

Overall, a great stay for the price paid. Property is clean check in is convinient, a few public street parking available and a great coffee shop just around the corner.

The drainage in the bathroom sink has no trap and foul smell escaped to the room most of the time.

I had such a nice relaxing stay - Clean washroom - Good kitchen with everything you need and water dispenser - nice living room -Free laundry and you can dry your clothes in their property - Nice, bright home - really quiet - mirror in room - big shopping mall near - hawker stalls near

- If you are a solo traveller looking to meet new people this place might not be for you. I was able to enjoy my quiet alone time after being in dorms for some time so this was perfect for me - Not much going on in the area because it's not centre of Georgetown

A little bit chaotic but it worked out eventually

Everything was great and went smoothly from check in to check out. Room was spacious enough and clean.

As usual room proofing is so so. There were some ppl that were cooking and talking on phone late night.

Very much enjoy the property, everything is well kept and clean with proper instruction of what can or cannot do and more importantly it’s quiet and save. The 2 mins walk to one of the nice hawker center New Cathay Cafe is a major plus.

Waiting for share bathroom, but that’s understandable for shared facilities. Would wish to have a mirror and sink in the shower room though.
