Nice, friendly hotel. Good central location to visit my family. Room was a good size and user friendly. It catered to my individual needs. Love the little touches like the little chocolate bars. Yummy with the hot chocolate and coffee sachets.

It would have been nice to have a mirror in the bedroom for drying my hair.

windows were restricted, no aircon so stuffy and too warm so couldn't cool it down to outside temperature. I'm not going to fall out of a small window just let me open it!!!!!

The breakfast for me was very basic. I do not need big breakfasts the continental buffet was good cereal etc. choices of bread, croissant. The dinner menu was really good too. My bedroom was a really good size. Still hope they give a choice of softer pillows The bathroom towels were really big

Comfortable sleep in a well presented room, and the breakfast was amazing!

Wet room floor flooded and took a while to drain so anyone else using the toilet had to sit in water.

Location was great, staff were friendly and helpful.

The WIFI was unusable. It was very difficult to join and I had to ask several members of staff to enable me to join the wifi. The staff told me that the wifi was 'impossible'. Then every 15 minutes or so the wifi would drop out. The hotel manager told me that the wifi had been set up in this way so that it drops out every 15 minutes and you 'just have to log back in'. Impossible to do any work or watch a movie.

Breakfast was good. Location was perfect. Room was most comfortable Dinner good value and enjoyable.

The breakfast was ample and good choices and staff are very good. The fan in my room was enough to keep the room cool as most older hotels have no air conditioning.

This hotel was very convenient for our 2 night stay to celebrate a family occasion and get together. Our room was well proportioned, large bathroom with both shower and bath. Due to the recent hot weather, hotel management put a fan in the room, (and I assume other rooms as well). This was much appreciated. Breakfast was a leisurely experience, no rush, a relaxing start to the day.

Although breakfast was leisurely, it did border on taking far too long. There's plenty of room for improvement, especially around the tea making facilities.

This is a hidden gem. Everything was excellent, from the comfort of the rooms, to the decor and food. Staff were excellent!

Only a minor grouch, but TV opposite the bed rarher than on the side wall would have been good. However, that's nitpicking.

Spacious (family) room with comfortable bed, sofa, small table, desk and chair. Tea and coffee making facilities with complementary chocolate (if you like it molten).

The room was hot and stuffy on arrival despite having one pedestal fan operating. The sash window was restricted so did not open very much, also blocked by secondary glazing panels, leaving very little airflow. The bathroom window opened fully so it was cooler but the fresher air didn't circulate into the bedroom. A second pedestal fan did little to help especially as the lead was short so we were unable to position it near the bathroom door to help the airflow. The bathroom had no bathtub despite one being shown in the photos for the family room. The evening receptionist was unable to transfer us to a room with bathtub as fully booked and asked us to speak to the manager in the morning. The manager denied the room was advertised on Booking with a bath so we decided to leave after one uncomfortable night (having paid for two).

Don’t want to be negative really, but it was so hot throughout our stay and I think air con in the rooms would have made this the perfect stay, however fans were provided and much needed.

There was a temporary freezer unit outside our room which was noisy all night. When we complained the following morning they knew about it so why use the rooms that were impacted ?

The rooms are very hot in this warm weather but the hotel can’t control the weather so not much they can do about that, however the windows don’t open much due to safety so not much air gets in overnight sadly and there’s no air con. Only a small negative as can’t be helped.

A great location to get to Wembley Stadium. Gerrards Cross station just around the corner from the hotel and only 18 minutes into Wembley on the train. The hotel staff, very kindly, arranged for our room to be ready slightly earlier than the 2.00pm timeline and I was also able to park my car. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will book it next time we’re up at Wembley Stadium.

Nettes Ambiente, sehr schöner großer Biergarten. Die Speisen auf der Karte des Hauses sind gut (Lunch und Dinner). Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sind gut zu erreichen, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe vorhanden. Zum Erkunden der Umgebung ist ein Auto erforderlich. Ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden. Wir hatten über das Hotel ein Taxi bestellt um zu einem Pub im Nachbarort zu fahren um Fußball zu gucken. Leider erschien das Taxi nicht. Der Chef hat uns dann kurzerhand mit seinem Privatfahrzeug gefahren, danke sehr!

Leider hatten wir zuerst ein Zimmer, welches sehr klein und sehr heiß war. Das Fenster befand sich in einer Ecke des Hinterhofs, direkt gegenüber einer anderen Hauswand. Ein Lüften war nicht möglich, da kein Luftzug dorthin kam. Nach einigen Tagen konnten wir glücklicherweise umziehen. Es gab unglücklicherweise einen Wasserrohrbuch, so dass von Do Abend bis zum nächsten Tag gegen Abend kein Wasser da war. Das kann passieren. Aber es wäre zu erwarten gewesen, dass man den Gästen zumindest eine Flasche Wasser pro Zimmer kostenfrei zur Verfügung stellt, damit sie sich die Zähne putzen können, und verkauft nicht das Wasser für 5 Pfund für eine 0,75-l-Flasche. Schade.

Het was bijzonder warm weer en de ventilator kon niet voor voldoende verkoeling zorgen. Slapen ging daardoor slecht. Handdouche was kapot.

Over 10 stays here now for when we attend events in London (travelling from the north). We love this hotel - the location is fantastic , the rooms are lovely - but the best thing is the staff. So friendly , welcome and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and they go above and beyond to help you. Mircea at breakfast always remembers us and fines to say Hi. Always checking everything is okay and being so very helpful and kind. He never stops !!! Reception staff always great and rooms are spotless

The rooms were beautifully decorated and designed. We didn’t arrive to check in until really late. After midnight and the reception guy was lovely and helpful.

What i didn’t like about the ethorpe was I couldn’t get in touch with them to tell them we would be late. I phoned numerous times and was talking with a robot . Which I found frustrating

Pleasant Pub/hotel for a one night stay. Not too far away from Heathrow airport. Friendly staff with clean rooms, well presented and great room amenities.

The web site allowed us to book a table in the restaurant for 9pm, however when we arrived we were informed the kitchen would be closing after 8:30.

Heat… a mad warm weekend but couldn’t cool the room down (room 1). Window in right wouldn’t open.

The Ethorpe is located in a quiet hamlet about an hour from London Marylebone train station, more importantly for us, 15 minutes from Heathrow Airport.

The rooms are no air conditioned. The nights were cool therefore an open window and fan were sufficient. On warmer nights this could be something to consider.

It says it has air conditioning (on their official website )in the rooms and at 30degrees plus, I wish I’d ignored the website and taken my own little unit as it just had a desk fan. The room was uncomfortable hot to get ready for an event.

Full English was tasty only down side sausages were a bit hard and over cooked. Breakfast server was friendly. All in all highly recommended.
