Reviewed May 4, 2026Ludwig ist ein überaus freundlicher sehr besorgter Gastgeber. Er brachte uns Medikamente und stand mit Rat und Tat zur Seite als wir krank waren. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht. Der Ofen war Gold wert. Die Heizdecken bei den kalten Nächten, traumhaft.

Reviewed Oct 27, 2025De locatie is rustgevend en heel veilig. Super afspraken met Ludwig i.v.m. trip naar Sani Pass.Heerlijk ontwaken met de vroege vogels! Een kampeergevoel met het comfort van een klein huisje en een proper bed. Voldoende keukengerei voor een goede braai en/of ontbijt in de mooie tuin.
Kasten zijn aan vernieuwing toe.

Ludwig and Reine provided amazing service and were beyond friendly. The cottage had everything you could need and I mean everything. We will definitely be returning.

Reviewed Jul 5, 2024A very clean warm and comfortable apartment.More extras were provided to us by Reiena stocked coffee and tea station she even provide us with rusk and one litre of milk. We stayed in a wood for fired and heated blankets. Amazing hospitality we got from Reiena. I wont hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone who looking for accommodation in Underberg

We loved the place we stayed in wood for fire and heated blankets amazing chocolats and shampoo. Great Coffee amazing host! Perfection at its finest!

Reviewed Mar 30, 2024The unit we stayed in is not the unit featured on this link. We stayed in a little wooden cabin with 3 bedrooms, although there were only two of us. The location is perfect and not too far from town, The cottage was quaint, private, very comfortable and exceptionally clean. It had everything we needed. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back.

Under new management but service should not be compromised. Parking was 60m away. Bed is too old and uncomfortable. Everything is less or not provided had to ask for everything. No generator for load shedding. Stove is gas difficult and dangerous to operate if you are not used to it. Not everything was provided as per the advert. Some things were not disclosed on the advert. Just not good. Below par compared to the highest ratings and recommendations. 1 rating is best.

Reviewed Jan 3, 2024What a lovely place. We so enjoyed our time there and will be back The views from our chalet, Jackal Buzzard, especially the top bedroom was stunning . The furnishings were very tasteful and artistic. and the beds and bedding were extremely comfortable There were so many thoughtful touches such as the ongoing supply of wood, the tasty buttermilk rusks and the delightful, helpful nature of Reiner who really went the extra mile to assist us. We could not ask for better hosts .I also loved the natural spring where I swam on the property. There are many activities nearby such as the Spoor trails at the Olde Duck offering various lengths of easy to moderate walking. We also loved the Parksboard hikes at Drakensberg gardens about 25 km drive especially the beautiful 3 pools hike. For a really delicious meal out , we enjoyed the restaurant at Moorcroft manor in Himeville.
