Seul point négatif, pas d'eau chaude pour profiter du jacuzzi. Compréhensible car il est alimenté par panneaux solaire et la journéen'était pas trop lumineuse.

Reviewed May 10, 2026Breakfast was fine though surprisingly we didn't get any fruit despite of being in Himachal Pradesh. All the other facilities were exactly what they promised on the website. Location is superb! The views of the snow-peaks from the room was really breathtaking!
I would like to reiterate the same point that there should be some kind of arrangements in the property to provide the local fruits to the travelers. It would be an welcome addition. Even otherwise, overall options for the food items in the dinner were limited. I sincerely think, there should be more options.

No arrangement for safety along the pathway to reach the room. Bath towels were not clean , tea bags were missing, did not clean the dust bins , hand towels were not changed and house keeping was not up to the mark. I stay there for three nights. Lady named ARZOO was very adamant and rude when I interacted her at the time of making reservation. Not really satisfied at all.

The location of the mountain and you open your gate window you can see mountain . View are the best i never think this is so beautiful must go couple friendly , frnds family overall best for anything.

The staff, particularly Prince bhaiya and Vinod bhaiya, were fantastic hosts and provided top-notch service. The room was clean and tidy, comfortable bedding with warmers, common area was well-maintained, and the food was absolutely delicious. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2025I recently stayed at Fayul Retreat and it was a wonderful experience. The last 2 km road leading to the property is very scenic, passing through tall pine trees, which adds to the charm of the journey. The road is a bit narrow and inclined, so it might be slightly challenging for new drivers. However, the property provides driver service if you find the road tough, and they can also arrange a car if you don’t have your own. The food and service at Fayul are excellent. The location is truly offbeat—away from traffic and road noise—making it incredibly peaceful. Every room offers panoramic views of the mountains, and you can even see the entire Kalpa village from the property. Another highlight is that Chaka Meadows is just a half-hour drive from Fayul. The retreat arranges off-road drives to take you there. Chaka Meadows is still unexplored, and in my opinion, it is one of the best spots in Kalpa, located right at the top of the mountain. Fayul Retreat is perfect for anyone looking for peace, breathtaking views, and a truly offbeat stay. If you’re visiting Kalpa, this place is a must-visit.

The access road to the property is too steep and dangerous although the staff helped but the approx 2 km path was a nightmare to drive. They don’t have a round the clock functioning kitchen and are too remote from the city which means you depend on them for food but they are available only for breakfast lunch dinner and tea. The place is not a walking distance from any place. I had booked to stay for 6 days but could stay only for 2… the place felt like a prison with a good view.

The retreat itself is nestled in the heart of a peaceful apple orchard, providing a serene and tranquil environment that feels like a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The staff at Fayul Retreat were incredibly polite and helpful, always ensuring that every need was met with a smile. Reaching the property involves a drive through a narrow road for the last 2 kilometers, but the journey is worth it. The road winds through a beautiful deodar forest, making the drive itself a scenic adventure. Located at the very top of Kalpa, Fayul Retreat is the only hotel in the area, offering an exclusive and secluded atmosphere. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views and exceptional hospitality, Fayul Retreat is the perfect choice.
