Reviewed May 16, 2026Excellent location. The view is spectacular. Helpful staff. The room size was pretty big and it was very cozy. Came with a little balcony as well. The cafe was great. We met some interesting people. And would totally book the place again. In fact, we had tweaked our travel dates to be able to get a room here because zostels are reliable and there seemed to be limited options in Kalpa. And we are glad we did so.
Zostel is very communicative before arrival and we would have appreciated knowing that the cafe is shut for some time in the afternoon. We happened to reach in those hours after a very long journey and had to hunt for other options.

Reviewed Oct 30, 2024The rooms are nice and big. The view from the rooms is amazing! The courtyard in front is great to sit at during the day - it gets a lot of sunlight in the first half. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, especially Aniket. Overall, it's a great place to stay.
The menu and the restaurant had limited options, especially for vegetarians (for breakfast) and for people staying longer. Also, sometimes the service was a little slow since it's still a fairly new place.

Reviewed Oct 1, 2024Location of Zostel in Kalpa is one of the best with gorgeous views of the mountains. Sunset is breathtaking and the view of Kinnaur Kailash is jaw dropping. The room is spacious and clean. The balcony overlooks the mountain, providing a great opportunity to enjoy a cup of Seabuckthorn tea (must try). The food is delicious and yummy. The staff is good and warm.
Zostel- a place to mingle with other travellers at the same time respect each other's space, people come here to enjoy the peace and soak in nature. However there was a family with kids making too much noise all the time and it destroyed the whole experience. Zostel should have some ground rules to maintain its charm.
