Elmo’s place

Merci beaucoup à Elmo et sa famille pour leur accueil ! Le logement est situé dans une zone calme du centre ville d’El nido. Il dispose d’une petite terrasse couverte très agréable notamment lors de la saison des pluies. Clim, sèche cheveux, frigo sont à disposition (il manque juste un étendoir pour les serviettes de plages). Elmo est toujours de bon conseil et très attentionné pour ses hôtes, ses petits déjeuners excellents. Il est possible de réserver des activités ou de louer des scooters directement auprès de lui c’est très pratique.

Very friendly staff! Nice, helpful, and attentive! They welcomed us as if we had been invited for their home. The hotel is not far from the city centre. The room is simple but comfortable. But what makes all the difference is the staff's friendliness and the warm reception we get!

Everything was fine.

Prettige en vriendelijke gastheer en familie. We konden tour A via hen boeken. Ze hebben ook scooters, dus erg makkelijk om die bij hen te huren. De gastheer gaf goede tips en adviezen en we konden altijd alles vragen. De ligging is heel prettig, op loopafstand van het centrum en toch heel rustig! Fijne airco op de kamer.

Wir hatten eine Nacht bei Elmo und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Gastgeber waren freundlich, das Frühstück war lecker, man war schnell im Zentrum und zum Hafen zu laufen für die nächste Fähre war es perfekt. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Sie hatten auch Kleiderbügel und genügend Ablage.

Die Dusche war etwas umständlich und es kam wenig Wasser raus.

Our stay at Elmo’s place in El Nido was truly unforgettable. The room was spotless, the bed unbelievably comfortable (we slept like babies!), and the AC kept everything perfectly cool. Having our own private bathroom with hot water was a great bonus. Every morning, Elmo and Grace prepared a delicious homemade breakfast that we enjoyed while overlooking the peaceful port and the fishing boats. It’s such a calming way to start the day. The area is quiet and local, yet just a short walk from all the restaurants, bars, and activities in town. What made this stay exceptional was their incredible hospitality and generosity. We felt completely at home and loved spending time with them. They are rays of sunshine, kind, warm, and genuinely helpful. They helped us with everything: booking tours, arranging scooter rentals and tuk-tuks, and sharing the best local recommendations especially for authentic local food we would never have found on our own.

La stanza nella quale eravamo non ha la finestra, ma c’è un condizionatore e un ventilatore che funzionano bene.

Very clean, Elmo and his wife were very friendly to us and made us enjoy our stay in El Nido.

Apartamento muy pequeño pero cómodo y muy limpio! Elmo fue super amable y nos ayudaron en todo momento. Aunque no está en el centro centro, lo tienes muy cerca y es silencioso para dormir por la noche.

El termo de la ducha se ponía o super caliente o frio. Había que ir cada 5 segundos cambiando.

We actually had a great time at Elmo's. The room was fine and the location was good too.

Unfortunately, we got confused because we had already paid online through Booking.com. Elmo demanded the money from us in cash. So we paid twice and now we can't reach him. We're very sad and annoyed about this, especially since we got along well with him and his family and even gave him a generous tip (his accommodation was affected by a typhoon last month). So, unfortunately, we feel a bit cheated by him.

Elmo was heel vriendelijk en gastvrij. De kamer is juist uit het centrum maar met nog geen 5 minuten wandelen ben je er al!

Geen raam in de badkamer dus het was er een beetje vochtig. Dus deden we de deur open van de badkamer wanneer we op stap waren.

La gentillesse d'Elmo et sa famille, l'aide qu'il nous apporté pendant notre séjour (Recommandation société de bateau et la réparation de mon smartphone). Le petit déjeuner est très bon ! Proximité du centre sans le bruit (à 5min à pied du centre). Merci à vous pour ce séjour.

Breakfast was good, Elmo was the best

Everything was good. The owners are very friendly and helpfully. Breakfast every day was great. There is a warm water if You want to take a shower. Air conditioning working but it is not „split” so like for me is too noisy. Localization is good. Close the every important places which You need spending time in this place. Owners offer You rent the motorbike if You want and share with You everything what You ask them about. Very nice place

La habitación es extremadamente pequeña, el aire acondicionado hacía mucho ruido y no había luz natural.

Elmo es súper amable y nos ayudó con todo lo que necesitamos. La habitación es cómoda, limpia. El desayuno que nos preparan cada mañana es buenísimo, con cariño. También posibilidad de alquilar moto. Vale la pena por el precio 100%, lo recomiendo.

Non essendoci finestre in camera ed in bagno tre notti sono un po’ difficoltose. In sala (luogo della colazione) si sente molto l’odore dei cani, può essere un po’ fastidioso per chi non è abituato. Contenti di aver Supportato l’economia delle persone locali dispetto ai resort di lusso. Lo consiglierei per una notte.

The atention given by Elmo, he always was.charming with us. In fact, we.lost the Keys but he wasn't ungry. He helped us in everything.

The room hadn't Windows and It seems.a bit claustrophobic, althought It was Big. There was a lot of mosquitos inside the room.

La habitación está muy bien, pero está un poquito alejado. No está lejos del centro, pero la zona parece como alejada. Está muy limpio y los duenos son encantadores, sin embargo el precio nos pareció algo caro en comparación con lo que habíamos estado, pero...el Nido es más caro en general.

It was cozy and feels like home. The host is very accommodating. He made sure that we would enjoy our time in El Nido even the weather is not so good.

Elmo and his family were so kind, and I had such a nice stay with them--almost two weeks. My room was very cozy--great AC, comfy bed--and I looked forward to curling up there every night after a nice cool shower. Breakfasts were very tasty, and varied every day. Elmo was also really helpful in getting me trike rides when I needed them. Highly recommended for a restful and affordable stay.

Location is a bit of a further walk from the main strip than we expected.

The three young women that checked us in were extremely kind and helpful, after we arrived late after the long coron ferry. They cooked us a lovely breakfast and were knowledgeable about the area

Everything was fabulous, the bed was comfy, breakfast delicious, and room was cozy. Elmo was a super gracious and kind host who did the utmost. He even parked crooked to save us a parking space when we came in late.

The host was very kind and knowledgeable. The place is located right smack in front of the port area, which means relatively easy access to popular spots like Sirena St., and the docks (for island hopping). The free breakfast was also light and delicious. Just don't expect a 5-star hotel dining experience-It is your typical pinoy fare of silog with refreshing island tropical fruits. Loved everything and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Bathroom can be a bit cramped and the wifi is unreliable if the hallway doors are closed. Otherwise, good for ite price.

Elmo and his family are truly hospitable. Our daily breakfasts were incredible, and during our stay we chatted with them and learned a bit about Filipino culture. We loved staying in a more local part of town and were very comfortable in our room.

Excellent location. Close to the center and far from the noise. It is a walking distance to the harbor and to the town square district . The facility was very clean and smelled good. We stayed here because we read positive reviews about the owner and they were all true. The owner, Elmo, made our stay very pleasant he rented us one of his motorbikes, helped us with the island hopping tours bookings, made us delicious breakfast, he was very helpful and kind he helped us with practically everything and he made sure we felt like home. I will be back here next time I’m in Philippines, until next time Elmo.

Great little place to stay. Couldn't be more helpful, arranged boat trips and also a private transfer as we needed to leave at 3am for an early flight.

Elmo and his wife are some of the loveliest people you’ll ever meet. He made us feel so welcome and we really enjoyed chatting with him. He made breakfast for us early to accommodate our boat trip and it was delicious. The room was also lovely and clean!

It would’ve been nice to have hot water for a shower. I believe they’re getting that sorted soon however.

Elmo, the owner, is the loveliest guy with excellent English, great recommendations, and able to help organise anything you need. Very clean and tidy space. A short wander to town (away from any bar/band noise), and you can look over the harbor from the dining space.

Just be aware of only cold water for showers, but not a big deal when it's so warm, it's refreshing!

The room is very clean, cleaning every 4 days, with a change of bed linen. Towels and linen smell nice of air conditioning. There are all disposable gels and shampoos in the bathroom. Elmo prepares a variety of breakfasts 🍳 🥭🥤 Elmo helped us have a personal taxi driver 🏍️ for a good price. Suggested where it is better to rent a kayak 🚣‍♀️ and which beaches 🏝️ to go to. Helped with all questions! Thanks to their family and reception, we had a great week in Elnido!

Our stay was nothing short of exceptional. Elmo was perhaps the best host of all our holidays. He really went out of his way to make us feel at home and whenever there was a problem or we needed assistance he was happy to help. Very charming and funny guy also. Breakfast was very nice. His friend Jake Jake (Gerald) works together with him as a tricycle driver. We had the best time with him. He is a very good driver, who goes out of his way for you, and waits at the locations that you want to visit. He was also just a very cool, funny and sympathetic guy. Clean comfortable room a bit outside the main hustle of the town so it's quite peaceful but still close to all the restaurants and shops. Wifi worked well. The family is very kind and sweet and helpful in all aspects. Breakfast is great!

The shower did not have hot water, but it was not too much of a problem with the heat.

I recently stayed at Elmo's Place and had an exceptional experience. The place is impeccably clean, which made my stay very comfortable. Each morning, I looked forward to the very nice breakfast they served—delicious and with a great variety of options. The owner was incredibly nice and accommodating, going out of their way to ensure guests felt welcome and taken care of. Elmo's Place is also very quiet at night, allowing for a peaceful and restful sleep, which I appreciated greatly.

The room itself was really really hot , the AC was on on the lower temperature(16C) during the day time when we were not at home but after switching off 2-3 hours it was hot( over 25C again ) this is mainly the isolation of the room . We loved staying at Elmo's! The positionis slightly aside from the busy tourist area. Elmo's very helpful with everything you may need while in El Nido. The room is comfy and very clean. Breakfast is top notch!

The 2nd night there was a little water pressure problem on the shower

The owners were really nice and they made a great breakfast for us and helped with any questions about things to do. We also rented a motorbike from them for 500 pesos for a day. The price per night is also quite good!

Unfortunately the facilities were a bit lacking; there is no hot water, the water pressure in general is often very low and the AC turns off at random times at night. The location is a short walk (5 minutes) out of the town center. The area gets a bit less refined outside of the center, we didn't really mind but I can imagine others might.

We could book our Day trips with them and they organized a trycicle when we needed to get somewhere since the accommodation is not directly in the city center Overall everyone was very helpful and kind. The breakfast we got was amazing! Definitely the best breakfast we had in our whole stay in the philippines & cooking skills are a 10/10. The bed was comfortable and we could hang our wet clothes infront of the house which was great. Also they have a really cute dog (Barsa) that loved to be snuggled all the time. The view from the seating area is nice since you can directly sea the ocean.

There was very little space in the room to put your stuff. A shelf or something could maybe help a bit since the table is quite small and everything has to go on the floor around otherwise. The AC was very very loud - we already had this kind if AC in a few accommodations in the philippines now so it seema to be kind of a "standard" one but nevertheless it was almost impossible to sleep until after 1-2 nights you kind of get used to it a bit. If you turned it of, it got hot real quick in the room so that was not an option. There is only cold water for the shower. This might be ok (even though it would be good to mention that in their description,so people know before booking) but the bigger issue was, that there was so little water coming Out of the shower, sometimes even nothing so it was not possible to shower... Elmo mentioned that it depends on how many people already used water that day since the tank might be empty at some point. Maybe there is a way to improve this since not having water in your shower at all or if lucky just a tiny bit was annoying.

Elmo‘s Place is a homestay, which I loved. He and his family are so very special. The room is very cute and clean and equipped with everything you need. I got the most amazing vegetarian breakfast every morning with a view on the beach. The place is located about 7 minutes walking distance from El Nido centre which I found great as the town is very crowded and loud. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe to walk there also when it was dark.
