Heritage Grand - Badulla

Staff where helpful and friendly.

Room was not up to the standard Toilet was smelling.

My recent stay at the Heritage Grand Badulla was an absolutely wonderful and deeply comfortable experience. From the moment I arrived after a tiring journey, I was warmly greeted with a refreshing welcome drink and a delicious slice of cake, which instantly revived my energy and made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. The staff members were incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive, ensuring every detail of my stay was looked after. One of the highlights was the dining experience; the food was truly delicious and conveniently served right to my room. This allowed me to enjoy my meals in complete privacy and comfort, dining entirely at my own pace without feeling rushed. Additionally, having access to secure parking facilities gave me total peace of mind throughout my visit. I am incredibly happy with my experience and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Badulla.

I had a wonderful stay and thought the hotel offered excellent value for money. The food at the restaurant was very generous and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was great too with good choices of an american or sri lankan breakfast.. What really made my stay, though, was the staff. They were consistently courteous, friendly and incredibly helpful, always going out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and well looked after. Overall, a lovely stay and somewhere I would happily recommend.

The only minor niggles were that there's no shower curtain or screen, so the bathroom floor gets quite wet when showering. Although it dries fairly quickly, if you need to use the bathroom again afterwards, you’re effectively walking across a wet floor. Also, although I found the bed comfortable, there appeared to be just a sheet directly over the mattress, and I would have expected a mattress protector beneath it. It felt a little less hygienic.

Wash room shower was too low . Tall people, like me will find it hard to shower. Ac was not cooling enough. Ac needs a service,

Sólo íbamos a pasar una noche para tomar el tren desde Badulla, así que con algo así nos bastaba. Un hotel sin ningún encanto especial, pero correcto. Viendo las fotos seguramente esperarás algo más de lo que te vas a encontrar. Desayuno bueno. Parking incluido.

Staff is good; location is convenient.

The rooms are very small and have virtually no view of the outside. There is a very small window covered by a thick curtain, and even with the curtain removed, the only thing visible is an air-conditioning unit directly outside the window. Fortunately, we stayed only for one night, with a late check-in and early morning check-out, as we were attending an event the following day. Otherwise, the room would have seriously affected the overall experience of a holiday. It felt more like a small prison cell than a comfortable hotel room. The floor is carpeted but was not properly cleaned. Our feet became dusty when walking around the room, so wearing slippers was essential. There is also no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs ourselves. We checked in late at night, and there was nobody available except the security guard, who simply showed us the direction to our room. However, the staff were helpful with our luggage when we checked out in the morning. Overall, this place may be acceptable for a very short overnight stay, particularly if you only need a place to sleep, but I would not recommend it for a holiday or a longer stay.

Locatie is beetje druk. Wij hadden kamer aan dr straatkant, daar hebben ze schermen die het terras afschermen.. dat maakt het terras bloedheet en de badkamerluchten blijven daar hangen. Als de balkondeur dicht houdt (beter met airco) heb je daar echter geen last van

Great hotel. Clean and comfortable. The room was large and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. They even packed us some food as we were leaving on an early bus.

The curtains in the room could do with a bit of repair.

Excellent location 5 minutes away from the centre of town. Absolute value for money. Breakfast buffet was sumptuous. A la carte menu had some of the tastiest dishes I've had so far and at very economical prices. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Recommend 100%!

I stayed at the Heritage hotel in Badulla for a night and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff greeted me warmly with refreshing drinks and cake, making feel right at home, while the room was clean, spacious, and equipped with hot showers, AC, and tea facilities—ideal for unwinding after local sightseeing. Meals like dinner and breakfast buffets were fresh, tasty, and great value, and the team was super helpful with transport tips and parking. Overall, excellent for families.I’ll definitely return.

Best property from our stay in Sri Lanka. Very welcoming from the moment we arrived. Great restaurant, food and service. All staff were super friendly and always asked if everything is okay and helped if there was a problem. For example: we didn’t had warm water at first but after we told the staff, it had been fixed like in no time. The room was clean and beautiful. A wonderful experience with great hospitality and attentive service throughout our stay. Also a pleasant and comfortable stay with excellent service. Very nice hotel, with extremely friendly staff. (The staff are without doubt the jewel in the crown.)

Very freindly and helpful staff & delicious foods in the restaurant . Clean rooms , easy to find location in badulla. They helped to plan our vacation through our stay period. I recommended for all tourists.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht dort, das war sehr ok. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Frühstück war wie angefragt pünktlich bereit.

Leider gibt es keine (günstige) Möglichkeit für die Unterkunft für Fahrer, das wäre sehr hilfreich.

Das Personal war freundlich und hat uns auf Nachfrage ein Zimmerupgrade gegeben.

Das Upgrade war aber notwendig, da das erste Zimmer komplett schimmelig war. Nicht nur im Bad war der schwarze Schimmel überall, sondern auch im Schlafbereich. Der Gestank des Schimmels war kaum auszuhalten. Man konnte auch nicht lüften. Im „besseren“ Zimmer war der Schimmel im Schlafbereich zwar auszuhalten, aber der muffige Geruch blieb. Vom Bad darf man gar nicht erst anfangen. Man konnte auch nicht lüften, da der Balkon von Glasscheiben eingebaut ist. 2 Sterne gibt es nur wegen dem Frühstück und dem Personal. Ansonsten, nicht mal mehr für eine Nacht würde ich dort schlafen.

Good location, kind staff and a spacious room.

A nice place to stay and Great value for money. The breakfast was delicious according to our requirements and the hot water was perfect for bathing. The staffs were very helpful, they helped us with luggage. There were sockets next to the bed for charging. The arranged transportation from the hotel to the train station and sent me my luggage to the train station. Overall everything is perfect!😍

Hotel standing pour un prix très raisonnable, petite patisserie et jus de fruit en accueil. Le petit déjeuner est en buffet et le restaurant a ne pas manquer le soir . Excellent accueil

This place is a gem. The most helpfull people. Very nice clean rooms. With fridge, hairdryer really nice bath. Close to/ a par of a restaurant next door with amazing food. The staff helped us arrange trips with a tuk tuk .. everything here is just prima.

Tras un caluroso viaje en bicicleta por la carretera principal, nos alegramos de tener una habitación con aire acondicionado. La habitación y el baño estaban limpios. Disfrutamos de un desayuno muy completo. Además, nos ofrecieron un zumo de aguacate como bebida de bienvenida a nuestra llegada.

Maybe a European and Uk choice of breakfast could be available. If staff know Europeans are staying,they can ask guests on their arrival what breakfast they prefer. cornflakes and milk are readily available in Sri Lanka and could be provided.

restaurant staff need to make sure tables have full set of cutlery.ie fork, knife and small dessert spoon. I appreciate sri Lankan guests would not use these. European guest would and will use cutlery

We had a very good experience during our one-night stay at the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and provided excellent customer service, accommodating all our needs, especially with food. All the staff members were helpful and attentive. There is also a bakery next to the hotel that sells delicious cakes — definitely worth a visit! Friendly staff and services

With in the city convenient for people go for official visits. Not recommended for visitors go for relaxation.

Crammed with restaurant next door. Initially allocated room 305 which is disturbed with the noice of kitchen exhaust duct located out side the window also it’s very dirty when you look out from the window. Finally after complain they transfer us to another room. Staff is very understanding and supportive.

The room was great size and the facilities were very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful and equipped with local knowledge. The buffet was very good and had good choices. The location was very good. They had plenty of parking and it was close to the city which is ideal if you are travelling by public transport.

Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und für die Weiterreise der Transport arrangiert.

Der Teppich in den Zimmern wirkte leider dreckig, im Bad gab es schimmelige Stellen. Die Klimaanlage ist sehr laut.
