Had a really great stay here for a week! The hostel has an amazing vibe, the property is clean and well-maintained, and the activities they organise are a huge plus.. you honestly don’t need to plan much yourself. It’s a great place to meet people and have a fun, easygoing stay. Would definitely recommend and happily stay here again!

Room service/housekeeping could be a little more attentive. And It would be great if the dorm beds had curtains.

Floor use to get wet due to humidity and there was no proper solution to it. Property is very far away from the beach.

Good experience in zostel...if u r travel as a solo u get new friends from there if u r interested to make one....They assure ur safety concerns...For a girl traveller it is one of the best choice..

Really fun bar and night activities, as well as organised daytime activities so you can get to know others at the hostel. It’s located in a great spot in Morjim with lots around. Everyone was very friendly and we had a great stay.

They do make active efforts for ice breaking so that folks interact and get to know each other. They also organise activities for visiting nearby beaches, etc. They also have a cute dog.

We booked a private room at Zostel. The experience was so bad that we left the property 2 days early. There was a construction going on at a nearby property. The view of our room window was of people working on that construction site. We were okay with that. We thought we can close the curtains and ignore it. But then the next morning from 8 AM onwards, we started hearing loud drilling noises from the site. We called the reception and the manager had informed us that they will try to get the noise reduced. But that did not happen. And he even had the audacity to say that it's not my problem. While we understand that the construction was out of their control, we atleast expected that we were informed beforehand of the same. They called us and informed that is is no lift at property but they conveniently missed to inform us that there is a very active construction site just a few feet away. The site was so close that if we opened our curtains, the workers could easily get a view of the inside of the room. The cafe food is very average. The road to the parking is very narrow, that one mistake might give a scratch to your cars. It would have been a decent experience if the noises were not there and the manager was not rude and unempathetic.

Everything about this place was disappointing. The staff is rude and completely unaccommodating, and the level of cleanliness is extremely poor. I even ended up with bed bug bites that triggered a severe allergic reaction, which made the stay very uncomfortable. There is also an in-house pet that is tied up most of the time and keeps barking continuously throughout the day and night, making it nearly impossible to rest. The café- the only food option available-serves extremely poor quality food. The chicken I ordered didn’t even taste like chicken, and when I tried giving the leftovers to stray dogs, they refused to eat it. Overall, the experience was extremely unpleasant. Between the lack of hygiene, unhelpful staff, constant noise, and terrible food, this place is simply not worth staying at. I would strongly advise against making long-duration bookings in advance because if you decide to leave early due to these issues, you are unlikely to get any refund.

Arrangements at night

The property has lot of space to sit around for people and the rental of bike was also easy

1. The room has mold , which I heard another set of people also complaining about . This led to trouble in breathing and sneezing. 2.The people staying weren’t well mannered and even though the property is under surveillance but still the act remained same. The girl staying in our dom, came drunk , with two friends outside the room at 1 am or later and shouting that even with ear plugs I could hear her and the rest of three folks also woke up. She also left the door open where people( her friends including a man) could see people sleeping inside . It’s unacceptable. 3. People were smoking weed in bar and back sitting area but no action from hostel as they were doing this consequently for two days. 4. A hostel should have a kitchen area for people to cook or atleast eat cooked food . Not even basic permission avoids people to stay long in this hostel as it doesn’t serve the purpose of saving money for which people actually choose hostel for .

The property was very clean, and a lot of places to hangout. The community managers/ vibe curators are excellent. Kriti, Megha, Patrick, Baph are really fun people and made sure our stay was memorable. Bartenders Smurf and Haneef are good to talk to as well. 10/10 will come back.

Nothing did I like

None of there facilities and amenities are upto the mark pathetic services bathrooms were unhygienic AC was not working. Very very poor service

Staff , the security is too nosy and peeps into personal matters but couldn't guard my bag from getting picked up by a different group of guests .

Firstly there was a warm welcome by the staff, Janet, Snehal & Arif. Smooth check in. I had 3 bags which needed to go on the 3rd floor, the staff was kind enough to help me. The room was spacious, clean. Had a great time at the zostel. The community manager Baph arranged for fun game nights, movie night @the hippie corner. The bar manager Darshit made awesome gin cocktails. Good food options, good coffee. Made new friends. Thank you team Zostel. I will be back for sure!

The bed mattress was super hard.

I had a fantastic stay here. This is my second visit at the property. And must say its the same vibe and energy. Special shoutout to the whole team of Front desk Janet, Snehal, Amit & Navneet for the hassle free check-in and check-out. Arif for all the assistance with luggage and needful help required. Their community team Shubham, Sid & Megha for organising indoor and the outdoor activities, taking out us for the sites and hidden spots in the evening. Ramu & Avito for the all services they provided at the Bar & Cafe.

One particular staff was very nosey and all up in my business, tracking where I was going and with whom thru the cameras. Did not like his attitude and was making up his own rules about how I can’t hang out in a friends dorm etc. He was really really creepy.

The hostel lost some of our clothes after they were returned from the external laundry service. Members of staff were unwilling to take responsibility or use initiative to locate the items. The dorms could benefit from curtains on the beds for enhanced privacy. You should be aware that the hostel common area has been redesigned, so lounging by the pool is not possible. The pool could also benefit from more regular cleaning as it has many bugs and floating objects on the surface. Overall the pool was a bit of a wasted resource.

The hostel location, cafe area & the games we played. The staff is very friendly here which is a great thing. My interaction with Megha, Aneesh and Inaya was beautiful. Also Snehal at the reception was very helpful with some of my queries around the place.

There's less ice-breaker activities enforcement and the dorm rooms have really high bunk beds and requires some significant balaning of temperature & improvement in room accomodation management. The smokes and drinks are high which may not be suitable to everyone who visits.

Nice place, friendly staff, overall vibe is really nice, loved everything about my stay here.

Cafe menu is quite expensive but acceptable seeing the vibe and music they play.

I think all hostels in India should not fit all groups in one dorm because they come in groups and give trouble to other solo travellers The people who come in groups never follow the dorm's rules That's what I feel

Cafe staff were not co operative and somewhat rude.

The place is good and clean, location is good too but the rooms are not upto the expectations with respect to the associated costs.

The staff specially the reception manager Shrikant is confused and manipulative and I am Saying this due to the below mentioned reasons: - before checking they keep calling you make 50% advance payment but they don't send you the payment link...I asked multiple times over call and messages..they don't even respond properly to calls - may it be a request for extra coffee sachets or toiletries you will have to call the reception atleast 3 times for it and will have to wait for atleast 30mins for everything - don't book airport cabs from zostel as their vendors are manipulate and are into fraudulent practices of providing below avg condition cars...in my case I booked a swift desire but at the end moment he sent a dirty from inside wagon r and I'm that too the seats were torn n dirty plus the ac was not working - had to call the manager shrikant atleast 10 times to send me a GST invoice Staff makes the experience bad

Zostel Goa (Morjim) is a great large hostel. Located in a safe area near cafes, restaurants, atms, and pharmacies. On-site you have access to swimming pool, bar, cafe, and front desk staff including amazing social director Ishita.
