Reviewed Jun 13, 2026Attractive, warm and comfortable. Convenient location for purpose of holiday to visit family in Kaiapoi. Many cafes and shops within walking distance.
We could not get Nespresso machine to work despite reading manual and watching YouTube video. Very difficult returning key to lockbox after checking out. Stairs were unexpected and caused anxiety due to disability.

Reviewed Dec 7, 2025The beautifully decorated apartment is in a gorgeous historic building with a stationery store below. It had plenty of space for us and everything we needed for our stay. The chocolate biscuits and L&P drinks were a lovely touch and the host was very welcoming. There was plenty of bathroom linen. The TV was a little far from the sofa but we weren't there to watch TV for too long so not a big issue.
It is on the main road so a little noisy from cars at night but we slept in the smaller room and the closed doors blocked that noise out.

The placement of the tv. Lol. It’s a weird spot. I’m sure there’s reasons for it and we weren’t there to watch tv!

Only one thing we could recommend would be to add electric blankets to the beds or some hot water bottles. Although the latter was easy to sort with the new world next day.

Has 2 double bedrooms but only 3 soft chairs in lounge - would be inconvenient of 4 people staying.

The light across the street made the lounge area very light all night In the main bedroom, there needed to be a bedside lamp on both sides, not just one as when one person wants to sleep & one wants to read it is tricky!

No mirrors in bedrooms. No large paper bag for recycling. Yellow recycling bin in carpark was full including non recyclable rubbish. No red bin for rubbish. Needed a catch on sliding doors for small bedroom to keep them closed for privacy.
