Important Information
The Hosteller is a backpacker hostel chain suited for young travellers, and does not permit guests below 18 years of age, even with legal guardians.
The property is pet friendly, and we allow pets only in private rooms (not dorms). Any damages are attributable to the pet owners.
We follow a lean, self-service and no-frills hospitality model to keep stays affordable, with select amenities available on a pay-as-you-use basis.
Drugs, misconduct, non-payment, theft, vandalism or policy violations will lead to immediate eviction without refund and possible permanent blacklisting.
Outside food and alcohol is permitted only in designated common areas and inside private rooms. It is strictly prohibited inside dorm rooms.
For group bookings of 2+ guests, same-dorm accommodation is not guaranteed as room allocation is automated and subject to availability.
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability.
Visitors are allowed only in common areas between 9 AM and 9 PM and are not permitted inside rooms.
Female dorms are strictly for female guests only.
Local IDs are accepted.
Limited parking is available on-site subject to availability (up to 4 cars).
The Jacuzzi in the villa provides only cold water.
Swimming Pool Timing: 7 AM - 7 PM (Swimming pool might be under maintenance on any given day).
Silent hours are observed daily from 10 PM to 8 AM.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties.

The location is amazing — surrounded by farms, greenery, and a forest-like atmosphere that feels peaceful and refreshing. The property itself is very clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and cooperative throughout the stay. One thing I really appreciated is that check-in and check-out are fully online, making the process smooth, fast, and hassle-free without unnecessary procedures.
Overall, the experience was excellent. The only issue worth mentioning is that the Wi-Fi in the first floor / first building is very weak and often does not work at all. This definitely needs improvement, especially for guests who rely on stable internet.

You need your own transportation when staying here (we rented a moped in the village), as there is not much around. There is no breakfast, and the closest (basic) restaurants are 10-15 minutes walking. Checking in is annoying and there is 3-4% extra fees, as your card details provided through booking.com will be rejected, and the only way to pay is through razorpay, which adds fees. So prices on booking.com do not reflect the real price.

Our recent stay at this hotel left us feeling underwhelmed due to an over-reliance on technology that didn’t enhance our experience. Every aspect of the stay is managed through a browser-based app, which proved cumbersome: • Accessing the room required generating an 8-digit OTP every time, a lengthy and frustrating process. The door keypad buttons are quite small, making it easy to enter the wrong code. Eventually, we were given a tap key, which was far more convenient. • Basic room controls, such as lights, fans, and the air conditioner, were also managed through the app. This unnecessary extra step complicated what should have been simple tasks. • Even ordering items like coffee had to be done via the app. Most items, however, were shown as sold out until we called and requested them to update the inventory manually. While the idea of digitizing the hotel experience is commendable, the execution fell short. Having stayed at fully digital hotels like Yotel, I found this experience lacking, especially considering we are in a country like India, where personalized service and staff are affordable and widely available.

Reviewed Jun 29, 2024A very affordable and aesthetic hotel located in Saligao, North Goa. The hosts are very enthusiastic and helpful. The swimming pool is well maintained and has a heating carpet so that it doesn’t get chilly. The rooms and bathrooms are big, spacious, and modern.
The check-in process could’ve been smoother, it took us more than 1 hour because the online payment through Booking.com didn’t go through. Also, at the hotel, we had to pay more than what was shown on Booking.com, because the amount didn’t include taxes and fees apparently. It is a fully automated hotel with an online concierge service Glu, and sometimes it’s a hassle to use it. Some lights don’t get switched off using regular buttons, so option for using regular switches should be available for everything. The parking is also pretty tight, some more space for cars going out will elevate the premium experience.
