It’s a cute little B&B just outside the city centre of Kenmare. There’s no traffic outside so it’s nice and quiet, the breakfast is delicious, and Mary is very sweet. In terms of value, it can’t really be beat.

Mary is a smashing host, very friendly & helpful. Everything organised & prepared for. The room was very comfortable- slightly dated furnishings, but clean & pleasant. Mary's breakfasts are superb, all fresh & tasty produce - delicious omelette. Mary advised us about our trip to Glengariff & Garnish Island gardens - it was great from start to finish, the gardens are fabulous, beautiful plants & trees with wonderful features & landscaping. Also some historic buildings to explore, with stunning views.

Everything was lovely & Kenmare is a great town to stay when visiting Kerry. Location is at edge of town, next to the golf course, so a walk of 10-15 mins into the centre. Loved it & will return :)

It was good to be able to walk into town. Mary was able to recommend places to eat and to hear traditional music. Mary was very attentive. As the weather was exceptionally hot, she even provided a fan.

The location was great, close to downtown. Our room was comfortable and the eating area was set up nice. The breakfast food was excellent!

Es war super sauber. Es gab einen Kühlschrank für alle in der Lounge. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Mary war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit, kompetent und sehr besorgt um das Wohl der Gäste. Sowas perfektes habe ich noch nie erlebt.

Es gab überhaupt nichts negatives!!!

Mary and Paul were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed hearing Paul play Irish music at a local club. House was comfortable, conveniently located and quiet. Had a lovely stay.

Ashfield B&B was lovely. The rooms were spacious and clean and comfortable. It was within walking distance to town but in a very quiet spot in Kenmare with a lovely outlook from the lovely bay windows. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast that Mary served was delicious.

What a gem Ashfield is! Comfortable, spotlessly clean, and with the kind of welcome that no corporation could ever hope to replicate. The surroundings are idyllic; waking up to bird song and seeing the mist leave the mountains every morning was a glorious way to start the day, followed by Mary's excellent breakfast and conversation. I long to return.

Camera molto ampia, con una bella vista, letto grande e comodissimo (con topper nel nostro caso). Il centro città è facilmente raggiungibile in 10 minuti a piedi. Colazione eccellente e molto abbondante. La signora Mary è estremamente gentile e disponibile e ci ha preparato i pancakes più buoni e morbidi mai assaggiati!

The breakfasts at Ashfield were delicious. It is a lovely quiet spot on the edge of town but still close enough to walk everywhere.

House was in a great location, 5 minute stroll from the centre of Kenmare centre. Mary was very friendly and warm. The breakfast was also great. Would definitely stay again.

We liked the location, which is near the town, where you can walk in just 10 minutes. It is great, if you want to do a Ring of Kerry. Mary is really nice host. She prepared great breakfast and even consider my food allergies. She put some extra effort to offer us a nice experience and make our stay felt like home. Clean and comfortable room with some space to put your belongings and it is suitable for longer stay. You have everything you need. In a common place you also have a mini fridge and microwave. There is also a coffee machine for a coffee in the afternoon. You also have a kettle inside a room and you can prepare tea or coffee there as well. You have Wifi in a room and little TV in a rainy afternoon or to check some things. We stayed for 3 nights and we could easily stay more. So happy to stay there.

I booked Mary's Ashfield B&B for our Croatian friends for a two night stay after reading all the nice reviews.. They absolutely enjoyed their stay. The area is very peaceful, yet only a few minute pleasant walk to Kenmare town centre. The view around the property is beautiful. They adored the omelette Mary cooked for them, they loved the room they stayed in. They specifically asked me to write this review and say a big thank you to Mary for her kind hospitality.

We were made very welcome from first online contact and throughout our stay. Immaculate inside and out, great breakfast by very friendly hostess, comfy rooms and cute neighbours ( donkeys!).

Beautiful house with plenty of parking spaces and not so far from the town. Spacious room with garden views. Good selections of hot breakfast to choose from. Mary is one of the best hosts we had in the trip. Kenmare is a very good center for our Ring of Kerry trip.

Mary was an amazing host and has done a great job setting up the rooms with all the amenities one needs. The breakfasts were great, bed comfy and house nice and quiet. We appreciated having use of a living room, access to a refrigerator and a Nespresso coffee machine.

Our only problem was finding food my dairy intolerant husband could eat in the many restaurants in Kenmare. Mary on the other hand was perfect in that sense! Thankyou!!

We were given a very warm welcome by Mary. The accommodation is nicely furnished and decorated. We stayed in room 1, which had lovely views from the windows. The room was spacious, very clean , with a comfy bed and a powerful shower. It is in a quiet location and yet only about a ten minute walk into town. Plenty of space to park your car. The breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked using good quality food. Plenty of choice of cereals and fruits as well. Everything was perfect.

The B&B is located in a very quiet residential area about 10 minutes walk from the city center. Mary is an incredibly kind and friendly host. She offered excellent advice on restaurants and pubs and her breakfast is fabulous - we especially recommend her freshly made pancakes.

What not to like? The area is beautiful, the house was spotless, quiet, with all needed facilities, the breakfast was delicious and the host,Mary, was a sweetheart, very helpful and always with a smile.

Directions to home were spot on. We were greeted warmly. The room was spotless and comfortable. We had a breakfast menu to choose from and it was fresh and hot! It's absolutely perfect stay!

Location perfectly situated at the entrance of the city of Kenmare! Excellent accomodation! Mary gave us good ideas of interesting visits in the area. Warm welcome , very large bedroom en suite. Everything was perfect!

Wonderful hostess!! Great breakfast. Loved the location (quiet) but still close to town. Kenmare is a great small town with enough eateries to satisfy us for 4 nights. Room had a desk plus 2 easy chairs with a small round table between them. Nice views from windows.
