Reviewed Aug 24, 2026Casa di campagna tipica irlandese, ristrutturata circa 20 anni fa in stile elegante / tradizionale. Ampio parcheggio a disposizione degli ospiti; recinto con i cavalli. Due sale da pranzo per la colazione, preparata sul momento (poca scelta a buffet) con ricette locali e porzioni abbondanti. La camera era grande , il bagno molto grande.
La nostra stanza aveva il bagno privato ma non accessibile dalla camera; ci si accedeva dal corridoio comune alle altre camere. L'illuminazione della stanza e del bagno (cieco) era molto debole. Avremo gradito maggiore scelta nella colazione a buffet.

Reviewed Aug 23, 202610/10! Naprosto nezapomenutelné místo! Snadno jsme ho našli podle navigace a hned nás okouzlila atmosféra tohoto nádherného historického sídla. Klid, příroda, starý dům plný krásných detailů – člověk má pocit, jako by se ocitl ve filmu. Právě možnost bydlet na takovém místě je podle mě něco opravdu výjimečného. Všude bylo čisto a vše skvěle připravené. Velmi milí majitelé nás srdečně přivítali i vyprovodili. Náš devítiletý syn si užil fotbal – k dispozici jsou míče i prostor na hraní. Snídani si vyberete z menu a připraví vám přesně to, na co máte chuť, přičemž je zahrnutá v ceně. Byli jsme naprosto nadšení! Pokud se někdy vrátíme do těchto míst, určitě přijedeme znovu. A pro milovníky historie je toto místo skutečný poklad. Vřele doporučuji!

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Wir hatten ein tolles, großes Zimmer zu dritt mit einem großen Bad. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet, wirkt wie ein Herrenhaus. Um das Haus ist ein großes Grundstück. Es gibt eine Selbstbedienungs- Bar mit Snooker, Dart und großem TV.
Das Einzelbett hatte eine Matratze, bei welcher man die Federn gespürt hat.

il bagno "privato" NON è in camera, ma nel corridoio, quindi bisogna uscire dalla stanza. A mio parte bisogna specificarlo meglio nella descrizione di booking, perché è una caratteristica molto scomoda.

It would have helped my very early start if a cold breakfast could have been left out for me but the hostess seemed puzzled by the request.

Reviewed Jul 5, 2026Cannaway B&B is one of those places that stays with you long after you leave. The mix Georgian architecture and peaceful surroundings makes it feel really special.
Our stay at Cannaway House was extremely disappointing. While the building itself has historic charm, it has clearly suffered from poor maintenance, and the reality falls well short of what is advertised. I was genuinely surprised to see so many positive reviews on Google and Booking.com because our experience was completely different. Basic standards of cleanliness and upkeep were lacking. The kettle was filthy inside, making it unusable. The shower head was so badly clogged that the water barely came through, and the bathroom tap had extremely hot water because the temperature control wasn’t working. The jacuzzi was also out of service. Even more frustrating was that several of the amenities promoted by the property weren’t actually available. The pool table and bar were closed for the duration of our stay, and the outside area had a slide for kids that was in a poor state of repair and clearly hadn’t been maintained. Unfortunately, this was not the experience we were expecting, and I would not recommend staying here until these issues are properly addressed.

Reviewed Jun 19, 2026So Cannaway is a little off the beaten path but not too far from N22. It was peaceful and quiet. Breakfast had a full menu choice and not limited to full Irish. My son was happy to get a pancake! Due to someone else having a triple - we opted for the full & two twins - I think. The room was large and perfect for our two night stay. The bathroom was across the hall instead of attached....which was fine. The other rooms have attached bathrooms. They give you robes to use if needed. There is tea/coffee in the upstairs hall which was nice to get a cup before retiring for the evening. Most rooms are upstairs which was OK for us, but keep this in mind if you are lugging suitcases or have mobility issues. The woman that greeted us when we arrived was delightful and recommended a local restaurant/pub that was excellent as well. It is about a 40 min drive to Killarney for planning purposes. Definitely recommended for convenience to Cork & Killarney while not being in a bigger city.
The only complaint I have is that the bathroom lighting was limited. It was hard to figure out how the shower worked. Instructions on the wall might help, but maybe it was just my poor eyesight!

Proprietor very arrogant when I pointed out that there was a noise similar to a top loader washing machine not loaded corrrctly late in the night. Her comment that I'm sensitive to noise and where do we go from here was really over the top. Her husband was the opposite explaining that the hot water pump had broken down, grateful I'd alerted them. Constant barking of dogs in the morning and the evening .

TRES difficile à trouver. Les coordonnées GPS nous ont conduit en plein coeur de la ville. Après renseignements pris auprès de locaux il nous a fallu repartir d'où on venait (environ 5km), mais les panneaux indiquant le B&B étaient rares... Arrivée tardive à l'établissement...

Zimmer schon länger nicht ordentlich gereinigt ( siehe Bilder ) , Whirlpool vorhanden aber keine Funktion und in sehr schlechten Zustand, Massage Dusche vorhanden aber ohne Funktion, Duschen nur möglich mit normalen duschkopf aber keine Temperatur regelbar ( sehr heiß) , Bei den Fensterrahmen tote Tiere und stark verschmutzt

De B&B was wat afgelegen en het dichtbijzijnde barretje/restaurant was wat verder dan we wilden. Zeker als je dan een drankje wilt doen, dan moet je daar toch rekening mee houden.

Reviewed Apr 23, 2026The staff were very friendly and interesting. The house has been lovingly and impressively restored- a true labour of love. I especially loved the high ceilings and appreciated the use of a heritage colour-scheme in the decoration.
Only slight issue was that my bed creaked when I moved- this was a very minor issue and I didnt mention to the hosts as everything else was great.

Reviewed Apr 20, 2026The location was close to the main road towards either Killarney or Cork. Once you found your way to the House it was easy to locate. The breakfast choice was superb. I am indebted to the lady who runs the Guesthouse and her husband (sorry I forget their names) who went out of their way to help in getting me enough Diesel for my journey back to Belfast during the recent fuel crisis. You are stars!
There was nothing to dislike. The stressful situation in the wider area caused by the road blockages was not their fault and they helped enormously to ease my anxiety..

No heating whatsoever in the bedrooms between midnight and 8am - it was extremely cold. The duvets were very thin and the additional blanket in the wardrobe was also very thin. We were both very cold in our rooms. The mattresses were lumpy and hard - extremely uncomfortable! No proper curtain or frosting on the bathroom window so anyone could see in with the light on at night! Two steep flights of stairs to drag suitcases up - totally unsuitable for anyone with even minor mobility challenges.(No warning!) Loud noise most of the night in one of the bedrooms- immersion that went on and off?! We will never stay here again! Beautiful big house, but very uncomfortable and overpriced for a freezing cold room!

Toda la fachada señorial palidece ante la realidad de la falta de mantenimiento en instalaciones fundamentales de una de las habitaciones: ducha rota, cisterna estropeada. Enorme jacuzzi no operativo.
