Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Bella casa in legno, molto accogliente nell'ampia parte comune: cucina ben attrezzata e soggiorno con terrazza sulla spiaggia bianca. La camera era piccola ed essenziale con letti a castello comodi e vista mare, il bagno era in comune di fronte alla camera. Noi siamo rimasti solo una notte di passaggio per andare a Senja (traghetto a pochi minuti di auto) e avendo letto la descrizione e la filosofia della casa eravamo preparati e non abbiamo portato valigie ingombranti. Il proprietario Olivier è stato gentilissimo nel concederci check-in in autonomia oltre l'orario, informandoci inoltre su dove fare la spesa lungo il percorso, cosa molto gradita e utile. Ci spiace non essere riusciti a incontrarlo e conoscerci.
Tutte le cose che potrebbero sembrare negative (stanza piccola, bagno e cucina in comune, scala stretta e costi) sono ampiamente descritte, quindi le avevamo già prese in considerazione e accettate

The only thing is bedroom is small and bunkers beds not suitable for older people to climb up and there are no attached bathrooms. Excellent staff

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Olivier ist ein freundlicher und sehr interessanter Gastgeber, der ein wahres Juwel geschaffen hat. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist ökologisch, nachhaltig, gemütlich und man hat wirklich alles, was man braucht. Der grandiose Ausblick vom Balkon und der Terrasse inklusive Strandzugang zum türkise Wasser: unschlagbar.
Es war perfekt. :-) Leider waren wir nur eine Nacht. Hätten wir gewusst, wie toll es ist, wären wir länger geblieben.

Tiny room, no space for luggage or move around; was given just one per person very uncomfortable pillow (too soft, feels like no neck support at all). The owner is VERY particular about check-in time, zero room for flexibility. We were travelling for 16 hours with a small child who was exhausted by the time we got there and asked to check in a little earlier (no more than an hour earlier than check in time). The answer was a hard no. We waited in the rain outside and were let into the property at 3:58 pm. I understand it is his right to deny earlier check in, but this lack of hospitality left a very bad taste in my mouth and certainly spoiled the whole impression about this place. We could see that the house was empty, no other guests inside and the room was ready for us a long time ago. It looked like it was done out of principle, and not because they really were not able to accommodate it. Very disappointing, what happened with the hospitality part of this business.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026The ecolodge has everything you need: rooms are well equipped, you share the kitchen and the bathrooms. You have direct access to the beach and close by you have a supermarket and a lovely coffee place open at midday. Oliver and Michela were very nice and welcoming and let us safely park our gravel bikes in the garage ! Thanks once more !!

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Sympaattinen, tunnelmallinen rantatalo ja viihtyisät tilat. Keittiössä oli mainio varustelu. Talolta pääsee suoraan uimaan ja muutenkin rannalle ihmettelemään luontoa. Todella siistiä - myös sängyn alta 😊 Meidän huoneessa (parisänky) oli isot hyllyt tavaroille ja ripustuspaikkoja, joten vaikka huone oli pieni, tavarat mahtuivat hyvin.
Hyvä huomioida, että naapureita on erilaisia. Meille sattui yksi rauhallinen porukka ja toinen melko äänekäs ja alkoholista tykkäävä. Pärjättiin kyllä ja yöllä nukuttiin. Yläkertaan on jyrkät portaat ilman käsijohdetta. Tämä myös hyvä huomioida, jos olet huonojalkainen. Makuuhuone oli melko lämmin, mutta hiukan ovea raottamalla toki jäähtyi nopsaan.

Per il nostro budget è decisamente sopra la norma, tenendo conto che il bagno è in comune con altri ospiti e così la cucina. Come fosse un ostello di lusso...

The rooms and bathrooms are desperately small, we don’t mind the sharing concept, but it was difficult to move around and not hit your head getting in and out of the top bunk. Didn’t feel we got good value for money.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026A brand new property, with the feeling of a hostel, with shared bathrooms and living area. All very Scandinavian. Our had the look of a big sauna. Set in a gorgeous location overlooking the beach with a garden running down to it.
No point in complaining about price as everything on Sommaroy is pricey. But, at the price, the rooms could do with a bit more thought: more and bigger pillows; a head board so you can sit up in bed; more effective black-out blinds.

Das Konzept der winzigen Schlaf- und Badezimmer nach dem Vorbild von Segelbooten aus Nachhaltigkeitsgründen erlaubte es nicht einmal sich im Bett (Dreibettzimmer) zu drehen, geschweige denn sich im Bad anzuziehen.

Reviewed Apr 1, 2026Bellissima struttura affacciata sul fiordo, di recente costruzione, e con una formula interessante, nella quale si condividono gli spazi comuni ed i bagni, ma senza alcun problema di sovrapposizione. o affollamento Tutto molto pulito, ben equipaggiato per la preparazione dei propri pasti, arredato con gusto, e con lo spazio giusto per tutti. Tanto da rimpiangere non aver potuto restare un po' di più, ma aver fatto solo una notte. Stanza piccola per 3 persone, ma funzionale rapporto qualità prezzo forse migliorabile, ma posizione e zona lo giustificano. consigliato per una tappa di passaggio se state andando a Senja, avendo il traghetto a 15 minuti. proprietario molto gentile ed accogliente

Reviewed Mar 25, 2026Seeing the northern lights on my birthday was fantastic. Olivier is obviously very proud of what he has built but unfortunately it was just not what we had imagined.
The bunk bed rooms were far too small and the noise from the communal areas and other rooms could easily be heard. Really there was no privacy. Had I known just how tiny the room was I would not have made the booking.

Olivier is a super host, he is very friendly and answers all our questions with many suggestions. Waking up to the view of the beach is all we needed to relax and so soothing to the eyes.

Reviewed Mar 17, 2026Ecolodge Boathouse är enastående, läget är underbart precis vid vattnet, allt är inspirerat till livet på en segelbåt så rummen är små precis som på en segelbåt men detta är jätte bra det gör det bara mera cozy. Badrummen är jätte fina och allt jätte rent och snyggt. Vi älskade vår vistelse och kommer absolut tillbaka och rekommenderar det starkt.

Reviewed Mar 1, 2026Wir würden sehr herzlich Willkommen geheißen. Da fühlten wir uns gleich von Anfang an wohl. Die Lage ist super toll. Das Haus ist sehr modern eingerichtet. Uns hat es sehr gefallen. Ein großer Gemeinschaftsraum mit Sofas, Kachelofen, Küche und Essbereich. Steckdosen waren im Zimmer ausreichend. Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen. Ein Supermarkt gibt es nicht weit entfernt.

Reviewed Feb 22, 2026Oliver was a lifesaver on our trip we had booked another location and once getting there it wasn’t what we had booked we were very disappointed but luckily found the Ecolodge on lovely sommaroy. The Location was great as were the facilities, Oliver was so helpful and wrote down everything we would need on our stay he has thought of everything. He greeted us at our car and showed us around his amazing property which has a heartwarming story attached including his lovely self took photos displayed round the property. The communal areas are all extremely clean and well looked after. Each room has a balcony attached looking onto the beach and is very clean and tidy. Each floor has a toilet and shower each keeping to the sustainable/ eco theme. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and can’t thank Oliver enough. 10/10 experience wish we were able to stay longer.

Reviewed Feb 10, 2026Die Ecolodge Båthuset 69 Nord ist absolut toll. Die Lage ist einzigartig und perfekt, um zur Ruhe zu kommen und die Natur zu genießen. Der Gastgeber Olivier ist einfach außergewöhnlich: herzlich, aufmerksam und mit echter Leidenschaft dabei. Ich habe mich sofort willkommen und rundum wohlgefühlt. Der Aufenthalt ist unvergesslich. Eine Unterkunft, die ich zu 100 % weiterempfehlen kann. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder!
