Riad El Harra impressed us with its exceptional hospitality, thoughtful service and genuine Moroccan warmth. Yazid welcomed us with traditional Moroccan tea and delicious homemade cookies, immediately making us feel at home. His detailed guidance on navigating the Medina safely, bargaining and understanding local customs gave us confidence to explore Marrakech. His recommendations for rooftop restaurants and coffee shops also helped us discover some wonderful places during our stay. What stood out most was the personal care shown by Yazid and the lovely Karima, who went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. Their kindness, attentiveness and local knowledge made our experience feel truly special. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a delicious variety of authentic Moroccan dishes. We especially enjoyed the organic Moroccan honey and olive oil, and it was clear that the professional cooks and hardworking staff put great care into every meal. Our room was kept spotlessly clean, with thoughtful daily touches such as a fresh fruit plate featuring a lovely selection of Moroccan fruits. The Riad also arranged an excellent airport pickup and drop-off service, making our arrival and departure smooth and stress-free. The location is another major advantage. Riad El Harra is just a one-minute walk from the vehicle drop-off area, which is especially convenient when travelling with luggage. Located just outside the city walls, it offers a quiet, peaceful and safe base for exploring the Medina. At the same time, Gueliz, with its modern shopping areas and mall, is only about a 10–12-minute walk away, giving guests the best of both worlds. A special thank you to Karima, Yazid, Ali, the hardworking staff and the professional kitchen team. Their warmth, guidance and attention to detail made our stay genuinely memorable.

Ali ed il suo staff sono eccezionali, sono riusciti a soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta come per esempio la colazione senza glutine. La pulizia è eccellente. Ritengo la posizione ottima in quanto subito fuori dalle mura della medina, sia i taxi che eventuali mezzi che dovrete prendere per esempio per le escursioni potranno recuperarvi immediatamente. Comodo sia per visitare la medina ma anche per le zone della città nuova Jardin Majorelle.

Excelente experiencia. El Riad es muy bonito y está muy bien ubicado al lado de una de las puertas de la medina. La habiatacion muy limpia, muy comoda, con todo lo necesario y muy grande. El desayuno muy bueno, servido en la agradable terraza. Personal muy muy amable. Riad recomendable 100% Gracias

Las suites son muy espaciosas y limpias. El Riad es pequeño, por lo que es muy tranquilo y silencioso. Desde el principio, Ali, Hisham y todo el equipo se eafuerza , con éxito, en hacerte la estancia muy agradable. Todo el personal es muy simpático. La suite de la piscina, que dejamos a los niños es fantástica de espacio, de claridad y de comodidad. No desmerece la nuestra que se llama Hamdoun, aunque le puede faltar algo de luz para leer. El desayuno es muy completo (no conseguimos acabarlo ningún día), con, entre otros, un bizcocho diferente cada dia y huevos a petición. El café muy bueno por ser de un hotel.

Para poner un matiz, queda en una zona entre Gueliz (parte moderna y de negocios) y La parte más tradicional (Jemaa el Fna) a 20 o 25 minutos caminando para llegar a estos sitios, por lo que aconsejo llegar a estis centros de intereses con un taxi (lo que no es problema porque son muy baratos en Marrakech)

The decoration of this Riad is wonderfully Moroccan and very much what we had imagined a traditional Riad would be like. Since this was our first stay in Morocco, we took quite a few photos here. Our room, Sheherazad, named after the storyteller and heroine of One Thousand and One Nights, was on the first floor. It was spacious enough for our family of three and very comfortable, with beautiful traditional decoration. The Riad also provided fresh fruit and snacks in our room every day. The central courtyard is a wonderful communal area. The glass roof can be opened, and the courtyard is beautifully decorated with drapes and plants. We often saw other guests relaxing there. On the outdoor rooftop terrace, there is also a swimming pool, which was very welcome in the heat of Marrakech. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace. The quality of the breakfast was excellent and there was a variety of food. The staff were also very attentive and provided excellent service during breakfast. There is a very good car parking lot near the Riad, with attendants looking after the cars, which is particularly convenient for travelers arriving by car. The Riad is also within easy walking distance of the Medina, so we could simply walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa and back, which made it very convenient for exploring the old city. Most of the male reception staff we met spoke very good English, while some of the others spoke French. Everyone was extremely friendly, polite and helpful. I am particularly grateful for their help when we had a problem with our rental car. They found a nearby repair shop and helped us communicate with the mechanics. The car was repaired at a very reasonable price, allowing us to continue our journey safely. I would especially like to thank the members of the Riad staff who helped us with the car. Their assistance went far beyond what we would normally expect from hotel staff, and we are truly grateful.

Abbiamo amato questo riad favoloso, curato in ogni dettaglio. La camera era ampia, con camino, tra le più belle in cui siamo stati. Nella stanza al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato frutta e altri stuzzichini che ci sono stati lasciati anche i giorni successivi. Personale molto gentile e disponibile ad ogni nostra richiesta. Ottima la posizione appena fuori dalla medina, di fronte alle mura delle stessa.

Mi è piaciuto tutto, forse potrebbe essere migliorato il roof top, ma di sicuro questo non ha inciso sulla bellezza del soggiorno. Ci torneremmo sicuramente.

The location was great, the room was lovely, and I felt completely comfortable throughout. What stood out the most was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, easy to talk to, and handled everything with such care and professionalism. I really enjoyed my stay.

We loved staying here. Our room was exceptionally spacious and comfortable and we found the location extremely convenient - a few minutes walk into the medina, whilst having easy access to parking, public transport etc. The area felt totally safe. Staff we extremely hospitable and helpful

Managers were very helpful and friendly. My room was huge and well-appointed. The location is very close to the Medina. This is a great Riad that offers plenty of peace and quiet with beautiful amenities and a very convenient location.

From the moment we arrived it felt like home. Karima and the the team at Riad El Hara were kind and attentive and helped us with restaurant bookings transportation and local attractions. We totally agree that the breakfasts are superb and make for a nice start to the day. It was nice to return at the end of the day to the tranquil and cool environment which was a welcome relief from the outside heat and busy streets of Marrakesh.

The most gorgeous Riad with the friendliest of welcomes and care throughout our whole stay. Karima and the team from the second we arrived made sure we classed it as home, and we couldn’t have been more comfortable. Great location, 5 minute walk from the walls of the Medina and around 20/30 minute walk from souks and square. We however went in 43 degree heat so used taxis to take us to and from our start and end points to save energy and sun time for the exploring- 50MAD for most journeys and the team will book them for you if you prefer. Breakfast was lush! Fresh and homemade. Served to our table each morning was a plethora of Moroccan yumminess! Nothing was too much trouble. Fresh bottled water readily available too and water and fresh fruit and nibbles in your room each day. Plunge pool on the roof is so pretty, and a fridge to have a cold drink- just be sure to tell them what you are taking. Excursions we did were sunset desert trip and sunrise hot air balloon ride. AMAZING. Slightly more than you maybe find online, but all the organising done for you, pick up directly from the Riad, and top quality bookings made for us. I don’t usually do many reviews, but I couldn’t not come straight on and praise this hidden gem enough! Thank you for making my son’s end of GCSEs and school surprise adventure the best! Abbiamo dormito per tre notti al Riad El Hara, appena fuori dalle mura della medina, in una zona molto piacevole con viali circondati da palme, ristoranti moderni e vari servizi. Il riad è moderno ma conserva un bel carattere tradizionale, e la nostra camera era spaziosa, con un bagno confortevole e una doccia bellissima. Ci siamo sentiti davvero come a casa. Invece di andare nelle spa della medina, abbiamo scelto l’hammam del riad ed è stata la decisione migliore: un’esperienza autentica, curata nei dettagli, senza la sensazione di “catena di montaggio” che spesso si trova nelle spa di lusso. Ci hanno coccolato con attenzione e il massaggio è stato fondamentale dopo tanti giorni di viaggio. Anche le cene sono state una sorpresa: abbiamo deciso di mangiare lì per evitare lo stress di cercare ristoranti in città e ci siamo goduti un ottimo tajin e cous cous, genuini e saporiti. Ma la vera forza del posto sono le persone: affettuose, cordiali e sempre pronte ad anticipare ogni richiesta. Ci hanno fatto sentire accolti in modo sincero e familiare. Se posso, ci torno di sicuro!

We had an AMAZING stay at Riad El Hara. The staff were incredible and went over and above to provide the best service. The room has very clean and spacious - and the Riad had a lot of Moroccan charm. Good location with a 20 minute walk either way to both the Medina and the Gueliz area - we was never further than a 30 min walk back, wherever we was. Overall - we would recommend to anyone visiting Marrakech and we would definately stay again if / when we return to Marrakech.

Not a dislike - would just be good to be a little nearer to the centre for restaurants and bars when your feeling more tired at the end of the day, but it really isn't more than a 20 min walk, and taxis are really easy to flag down.

The host and all the staff were absolutely wonderful. My daughter and I felt really looked after it’s like visiting friends and family. We could only stay for 2 nights, due to no availability for the rest of stay but we were still welcome to come back and use the facilities and our host arranged all our day group trips, which was so kind of her. I will definitely go back and stay there. It was beautiful with massive rooms. Food and breakfast was amazing.

The Riad is well welcoming and beautiful. Each member of the staff is attentive and ready to make your stay a pleasure. Omar and Elias were helpful at every turn. Latifa, who runs the spa is a breath of fresh air. Karima, the manager, is a gem, and clearly why this is such a well-rated spa. She not only made us feel welcome, but went the extra mile to get us much needed reservations.

We were early for check-in yet, we were welcomed with tea and the hospitality of the hostess. Karima makes you feel like she is welcoming a long lost family member back to her home. There’s a fruit basket, nuts, and water bottle waiting for you in your room. The Sultans room was stunning! Our stay was for one night before heading home but we would have loved to stay longer. Karima arranged our taxi/shuttle back to the airport. She will do what it takes for you to enjoy your visit to the Riad.

The area initially feels a bit seedy but it’s in close proximity to the Medina and Souks. I didn’t feel unsafe just cautious as it’s a very busy area/road in the vicinity. There’s no sign of the noise or business within the Riad though.

Lovely riad feel.

Note on Google Maps location appears in the thick of Marrakech, however this place is on the outskirts with a main road between the riad and the centre. ,

We stayed here for one week and it was exceptional. Karima, Ahmed and Jawed were amazing and did their utmost to make us feel at home, cannot praise them highly enough. My husband and I have travelled widely and have never come across such a high level of service as this.

Karima made me feel at home❤️‍🩹 It was my first solo trip and she made me feel as if I had a 2nd mother in another country to help me if I needed anything. The riad stay was lovely and so was the rest of the staff.

This place is a gem - absolutely everything about Riad El Hara exceeded our expectations! The building is gorgeous, and the room was big and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The rooftop breakfast was delicious, and the rooftop pool was small but very refreshing on a hot day. The location is great: not right in the chaos of the medina, but literally just across the street. You can easily walk anywhere in the medina AND to the new part of the city as well in just a matter of minutes. The airport transfer was a breeze and we enjoyed the desert excursion that they arranged for us. Most importantly, the staff were just incredible - Karima, Omar, Ahmed, and all of the others were so welcoming and friendly - they were truly the best part of the experience. I will certainly return to Marrakech again some time and wouldn't even think of staying anywhere else!

Me encantó el Riad El Hará, realmente me sorprendió para bien todo en el Riad. Lo sentí como un lugar mágico, donde todo está impecable, ordenado, perfectamente limpio, la atención de la gente, un desayuno riquísimo, a distancia caminable de todo. Una dispersa al abrir la puerta y ver este lugar tan maravilloso. Silencioso para dormir.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft und nettes, zuvorkommendes Personal. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück war auch lecker und wir hatten immer genügend Früchte, Wasser und Snacks im Zimmer. Kamira ist ausserdem eine sehr gute Gastgeberin.

Die Lage ist ok. Da nah bei der Hauptstrasse etwas lärmig.

Wer Marrakesch authentisch erleben will, kommt um diese Unterkunft nicht herum. Es ist definitiv so, dass bei einem sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt , bei einem beruhigenten marrokkanischen Tee oder Kaffee die Eindrücke gut verarbeitet werden können. Die Stadt ist schnell , hektisch und beeindruckend, die Gegensätze faszinieren und können aber trotzdem emotional ins Gewicht fallen. Deswegen ist das El Hara der ideale Ruhepunkt . Karima und auch das restliche Personal ist sehr freundlich, jeder Wunsch wurde erfüllt . Karima kennt alle Geheimnisse der Stadt und kann die Regeln der Marrokkaner gut vermitteln.

Ich kann nur sagen , man muss sich im Klaren sein , dass man sich auf ein Abenteuer einlässt . Es ist nicht Europa , deshalb auch andere Standards , das gilt für Kontinent Land und Leute. aber unvergesslich !

Wir haben das Riad über booking gefunden und bereuen es keine Sekunde, uns dafür entschieden zu haben. Das Zimmer war super schön und toll ausgestattet! Das Bad ist groß, das Bett bequem und täglich gibt es auch frisches Obst, Nüsse und Wasser. Die Dachterrasse lud sehr angenehm zum verweilen ein und das Frühstück, besondere das Omlett, war sehr lecker. Einen ganz großen Dank an das wunderbare Team, dass uns unseren Aufenthalt so komfortabel und ansprechend gestaltet hat. Bei jeder Frage waren Sie uns zu Hilfe und haben uns super Empfehlungen für Restaurants oder für Sehenswürdigkeiten gegeben! Vielen Dank 💛

Super vriendelijk personeel. Een hartelijke ontvangst door de gastvrouw, die de moeite nam om ons welkom te heten en allerlei tips gaf om ons verblijf zo leuk mogelijk te maken.

De locatie lijkt op het eerste gezicht niet heel aantrekkelijk. Daar moet je gewoon even doorkijken. De ligging is namelijk top, om zowel de medina als het moderne stadsgedeelte te ontdekken.

This is a great place to stay in Marrakech, Karima and team are super friendly and helpful. Its right next to the Medina and its easy to get around. Its a good place to chill out, the breakfasts are great and the pool area too. Strong recommend.

Stayed here for one night with my two sons (12 and 14) before taking an early flight the next morning. - Booking: Excellent. Karima was very professional, with quick and efficient communication for the booking, airport transport arrangements, and any changes we requested. - Beautiful Riad, very clean, with very friendly staff. It is well located, close to Jemaa el-Fnaa (15–20 minutes on foot) and also close to the airport (about a 15-minute drive). We did not have the opportunity to try the rooftop pool. - Room: Beautiful decoration and nice amenities, including a welcoming fruit plate, tea/coffee machine, bathrobes, slippers, TV, AC, and Wi-Fi. - Breakfast: I cannot comment on the standard breakfast since we ordered a breakfast pack instead.

The breakfast pack was underwhelming and disappointing considering the price of the room: a small juice, dried pastry and bread, and small plastic tubs of jam and cream cheese.

We had a wonderful stay at Riad El Hara. From the moment we arrived, Karima gave us such a warm and authentic Moroccan welcome with traditional tea. She was incredibly kind and took the time to explain everything about the riad and the area. She also shared helpful information about Ramadan, local schedules, and gave us a great restaurant recommendation that we really enjoyed. The riad itself is beautiful and the room was very comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure and hot water, which we really appreciated after long days exploring Marrakech. We also loved the small thoughtful touches: fresh fruit available, coffee, and bottled water always available for guests. On the morning of our departure we had to leave very early, and they kindly prepared a lunch box for us to take on the road. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our travel morning much easier. Overall the hospitality was truly outstanding and made our stay very special.

The only small thing to keep in mind is that, like many traditional riads, all rooms face the central courtyard. Because of that, sometimes you can hear other guests arriving or leaving late at night or early in the morning. It wasn’t a major issue, just something to be aware of if you are a very light sleeper.

Karima war unfassbar hilfsbereit und unterstützend. Wir wurde geradezu verwöhnt in erhielten Proviant bei der Abreise. Das Frühstück war ein Traum. Die Lage perfekt.

Es gibt keine Kritik. Wir werden wiederkommen.
