An utterly unacceptable and deeply unprofessional experience. I booked through Booking.com with the clearly stated option to pay at the property, yet on the very day of arrival I was informed that the hotel had cancelled our reservation because I had supposedly failed to pay 50% in advance. At no point was this requirement properly communicated. In fact, I had contacted the hotel a week earlier to ask whether card payment was accepted, which would have been the obvious opportunity to mention any advance-payment requirement. Had we been informed, we would have paid immediately. What is especially troubling is that the hotel appears to have cancelled the reservation unilaterally without properly updating it on Booking.com, despite the booking already being past the free-cancellation period. This caused completely unnecessary stress as we scrambled to contact the property through multiple channels on the day of arrival. A hotel that cannot clearly communicate its own payment terms or manage a reservation correctly demonstrates a serious lack of professionalism. I would not trust this property with a future booking.

Facilities were too old and run-down. Everything needs replacing immediately. The shower head was rusty and rust water came out when we first tried it. There was also no room service.

The photos on the booking website appear to be from when the hotel first opened. The property now needs proper maintenance, as many areas look old and worn out. In the bathroom, several fittings were rusted or had heavy water stains, making us hesitant to touch them. There are many small maintenance issues throughout the hotel that should be addressed to improve hygiene and the overall guest experience. The bedsheets, pillows, and towels also looked very old and are due for replacement.
